  • WELCOMING VULNERABILITY The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (January 21, 2024)
    Today is the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, which, in the Philippines, is
    celebrated as the Feast of the Santo Niño. The devotion to the Child Jesus is a mark of Philippine Catholicism . In fact, during his pontificate, Innocent XIII approved the special liturgical texts for the Santo Niño’s feast day.
    Today, the gospel is from Saint Mark. Here, Jesus was indignant at his disciples for preventing the children from coming to him. Jesus then embraced the children and “blessed them, placing his hands on them.”
    The Feast of Santo Niño is an opportune time for us to reflect on our attitude towards children, the most vulnerable in society. To our younger friends, do we like to come to Jesus for his blessing? To those of us who are older, are our ways leading or preventing the youth from desiring to know Jesus?
    May each of us look at God’s kingdom with
    wonder, sincerity, trust, and gratefulness as
    a child would look at a most beautiful gift.
    Happy Feast Day!

    Dear Father in heaven, we thank you that you are our Father and that we may have you with us. We thank you that we can know you are leading us by your hand. Give us your Spirit of understanding so that we may always see your mighty and powerful hand guiding us on all our ways. Help us where we fall short. Help us, for we are weak and are often in situations where we cannot help ourselves. But you are strong. You give light to our hearts. Through the Savior, Jesus Christ, we can direct our lives cheerfully, joyfully, and patiently toward the great goal set before us your children, and before the whole world. Amen.

      In leading others to god, welcoming vulnerability is a complete reversal.welcoming vulnerability lead others to Satan.Our parents, Adam and Eve, welcome vulnerability and succumb to the serpent's temptation

      All throughout Jesus Christ's life, I cannot discern any moment when he welcome vulnerability. He stood strong against temptation to depart from the heavenly father's word.

      In this gospel Jesus Christ told his disciples you guys you are vulnerable to the obsession for worldly matters:possession, honors,and position.Unless you will be like a child such as these you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.

    Thank you Cardinal Chito Tagle. Since we cannot solve "Mystery" then surely we must all be "vulnerable," agreed?
    God Bless you and never forget the unseen, seen Holy Power of our truly wonderful God. Through Love He is fair, just and truly awe inspiring.
    Have a wonderful life.
    Amen Glory to God in the Highest level of Love forever. ❤❤❤😁

    Man is taught by this gospel to live a childlike life by doing what is written. This gospel never mention welcoming vulnerability as a childlike life.

    Jesus Christ never said you act like any child.He said the kingdom of heaven belong to children such as these.Then He embraced them and blessed them because these children are obedient and observant of the word.

    'The ability to destroy a planet, is insignificant next to the power of the Force' though this is off topic. I find it interesting though how Modern day Wannabe's pursue 'conquest' of others in the most self-delusional way feasible (inverse of Art of War's knowing yourself), it is almost pitiable actually so don't be a Killjoy priest BABY. This makes God wisdom even more magical, since the one who wishes self-interestedly to less suffer superficially through using others, is the one who is actually suffering by all means in all of the essence there is. Thank you His Eminence Cardinal Tagle for this week's homily; We pray for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to continue to be blessed by good health, faith, and public speaking in this determining times.

    Welcoming vulnerability to rely and trust in god for strength to resist temptation is paganism.Christians shall stand against the words of Satan by observing what is written as what Jesus Christ did when he was tempted by the devil

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 Před 6 měsíci

    There is no vulnerability in these gospel

    Showcasing devotion to SANTO NIÑO, by sinulog ,is not showcasing observance of the commandment that unless you be like a child such as these you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven

    • @antoniocanoy2642
      @antoniocanoy2642 Před 6 měsíci

      Basically sinulog is a show for public to appreciate and enjoy.On the other hand there are groups who find that the show annoys or offends the senses,shocks,defies or disregards decency or morality.That will make the sinulog a nuisance over which they obligate themselves to abate.

    To preach man to welcome vulnerability as an occasion to trust god is not christianism ; this teaching is paganism.Christianism is to trust the observance of tbe word for salvation and the oil needed to enter into the banquet with the bridegroom
