Therefore, he was probably some sorta atheist. So no, Valholl ( the original name, Valhalla is latinized) doesn't apply to him. Also it seems you don't understand the concept of Valholl. As great and legendary Dio was, he wouldn't go there. Valholl is a "heaven" for Nordic warriors who DIE IN BATTLE. They get selected by the Valkyries ( angelic woman virgin warriors selected by the great god, Odin. But not even all warriors get selected. Only those who show great fierce and success in the battle in simple power, valour etc gets selected. Why? Odin is very wise. He learns from a seer that the end of the world, Ragnarök is coming. During this time the entire pantheon fights the children of Loki ( hela, goddess of Hel, Fenrir the giant wolf and Jörmungandr, the world serpent plus entire armies of undead probably) Odin learns that he dies during the fight, felled by Fenrir the wolf. So is Thor in a tie between the world serpent. Odin seeks to win and stop Ragnarok, this is why he prepares for it by filling his hall, Valholl with warriors. Come Ragnarok 540 doors will open releasing the greatest human heroes and warriors collected throughout. The math adds up to 432k warriors marching. The Nordics themselves glorified death and were fearless for this very reason: they considered fighting alongside their gods the greatest honor bestowed. Fun fact: women are NOT allowed to Valholl. Fun fact 2: MOST women AUTOMATICALLY go to hell after death. A select few can go to the hall of Freya. Fun fact 3: foreigners from very far away lands are not known to get accepted into Valhalla.
