Metro bus slams into parked motorhome

- An investigation is underway Friday to determine what caused a Metro bus to crash into a parked motorhome in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

I had just spoken to a new bus driver the other day and he had just told me that he had been at work since 6:00am a.m. and it was almost 11:00 pm

I remember one time I saw a bus driver was trying to sleep while driving. His eyes were barely open and he missed many stops and that was around 2 PM!!!! lol

“Free” overnight parking privileges should be billed to the owner of those RV’s; meanwhile residents have to pay for permits to park where they actually also pay to live….c’mon LA get it together!

I can determine what caused it from here. It was caused by the driver steering the moving bus into the stationary camper. Pretty simple

Appears to be a direct corner hit on both vehicles. Bus driver should have avoided, but you can tell by the orange cone displaced under the RV by the accident that this RV owner knew the vehicle stuck out into the travel lane and figured a cone would prevent this.
The home is legally parked.

I don’t blame the bus driver who is always driving the same route for long hours. I blame the city and the officials who allow a bunch of RVs to be parked for months on our city streets. Some of them are full of random stuff all around. It’s crazy and I never seen it this bad, it’s been four yrs of this craziness but the city won’t hold itself accountable.
