So here's a video of me gabbing about a recent series I love and what I think it means.

Part 1 - 4:01
Yuri, what on earth was that? - 26:00
Part 2 - 29:46
But wait, there's more! - 57:15
Mankind, a miserable pile of secrets - 58:59
I thought this video was going to be done by Halloween, that was foolish, this series is so dense with information despite being two parts, but I love it all the same - 1:04:40

I took a quick break from a scene an hour ago and said "There has to be something new" so I looked up Valle Verde and I found your video (Which I truly loved btw) so I kept working with it playing on the background, thanks for covering Valle Verde :) (btw please don't spoil that Miku is the main villain of the series, thanks)
The man himself 👏
Thank you for all your hard work!
I really should take a closer look at the people who modeled and animated assets and scenes, because these people are so talented who made it.
Also it make me realise that the plane minigame does definitely very much tie into dropping something that isn't a simple package, but something more cruel.
This 'game' really feels like a world made by men and destroyed by uncontrollable forces, a fabricated paradise built on a rotten core.
That gold statue in the church is a monstrance, though far larger than any IRL. It’s an ornament used to display the Eucharist (which you can also see in the center). Catholics believe the Eucharist is literally the real presence of Christ, where God is present body and soul. This explains why Jesus starts talking, seemingly out of nowhere, in that church scene at 37:40.
Hearing child sacrifices with ape Escape music in the background is really funny
Games that turn out not to exist seems to be a recurring theme for this channel.
...I really wish to play Tharsis right now.
31:30 Hi, biologist here. Yes, that's what it is. It's also using the phonetic alphabet, so "Oscar" is O, and "Alpha" is A. I believe that these letters stand for Occipital and Amygdala, two parts of the brain that are integral to processing visual information and emotions, respectively.
Can't wait for more. Visuals kind of freaked me out. Lucky that your soothing voice eased the tension.
That text in the game library doesn't have anything to do with ownership or where the data is sourced from, Ult. Visualizacion (Última Visualización) just means 'last viewed'. It changed to TEST05 because the player was the most recent person to view the game.
The cutscenes, music and style of the game really invokes that Tail Concerto vibe so darn well
Just finished watching and I loved the video, you found stuff I hadn't thought of yet. I should note though that at 49:30 when you talk about the character name associated with each game: Each name actually indicates who was the last one to play that game. That's why Tharsis now has TEST05 in place of Kazuya. Your point about Foxxo still stands though.
Really wish it was playable.
Honestly I love that it's not, trying to understand something you can't ever touch is a truly unique experience
Hey, you should try another unfiction project called Nebula & Quasar! Much like Valle Verde, both of which are some of the most unique and stylish ARGs on the internet and definitely need more love and recognition!
NAQ is created by Agentpman1, the creator of Fazbear Toddler Fun, and his close friend AngryKid!
Babe wake up Yurittc uploaded a new video!
I love the random Vocaloid mention XD
Tharsis the legend is also an TH brain peripheral prototype system by Shizuoka institute of science and technology
I love Valle Verde so much!! Thank you for covering it! As someone from Argentina myself, I am extremely proud of this piece of Argentine media. Awesome video!
35:00 Actually, this part is in spanish in the spanish version of the video, I guess they just thought it would be better to have it translated instead of using subtitles
you should totally do a series on petscop, id love to hear your interpretation
Great job on this video Yuri!
This is a fantastic video, great dissection into this fantastic little horror story so far
Enochian can be found as a Public Domain font.
Well looks like the spanish arg is getting popular
amazing video man very underrated channel
31:19 I just noticed something. Those names are all military...Oscar =O... Oscar, Juliet = J = Jansug, Kilo = K = Kazuya, Charlie = C = Chloe. Those are the KIDS.
Also, at 31:47, look closely at the list of players and the percentages next to them...I'll let y'all put that together on your own.
Yes, it's the phonetic alphabet. But I don't think it's just to represent the kids, at least, not only. O stands for Occipital, A stands for Amygdala, C stands for Cerebellum, another C for Cerebrum. J and K stumped me a bit, until I realized the game is in Spanish. I don't know Spanish anatomical terms, but maybe there's something there.
I came back to this video for the 3rd time now, absolute banger.
I dont know why, but I find the bit where the sentient AI described that the game is so snafu that it went "fuck that" and peaced out absolutely hilarious
I mean no offense but this is an observation I can’t unhear:
You sound like if Night Mind and Linkara did a fusion dance-
Great video, man. I think youtube lead me to another great channel.
I'm going to visit that Evertale rabbit hole video. I'm not gonna lie. That's a fascinating topic to me. Like, for a while, that store page had hints it was a creepypasta thing? But like, I felt perplexed about what I read Vs. What i Saw.
How weird. Usually I like odd games and guys who make mysterious ARG things... Take care.
An Hour Long Yuri Video!!! HAZAH ♥️💜♥️
This comment is funny as hell out of context
@@izyaboi4289 Looking back at it- It is
@@MopeyToapy ESPECIALLY if some weeb sees it and just thinks of anime yuri
Upon rewatching part 2, i noticed the golden statue in the mini map of the town doesn't depict foxxo, but the 'Jesus' figure standing behind Pietro. Not really sure what that means
(36:33) The fire on top of the priest's head is a reference to the biblical event that happened on Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit descended from the heaven and fire appeared on people's heads as reported in (Acts of the apostles 2,1-4): “¹When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all gathered in the same place. ²Suddenly a noise came from heaven, as if a mighty wind was blowing, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. ³Then a kind of tongues of fire appeared to them, which spread and landed on each of them. ⁴They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Holy Spirit gave them permission to speak.”
33:01 can 9000% agree that games bugging out always get a spook reaction out of me. I always assumed it had something to do with me being autistic and picking up on patterns, so when a game's very consistent system fails to remain consistent I notice and it sets alarms off. Adrenaline rush every time, even if it's just the music cutting out or something small like that.
Character models freaking out is generally one of the freakier ones. I remember once playing Mario 64 and something bugged so Mario's shins and feet spawned fully mirrored up into his thighs with his shoes poking out of his front and nothing connecting him to the ground. I freaked out and turned the game off 😂
its note worthy that oscar is similar to sweedens translation for lightning, åska, probebly a coingkidoink but still fun
i'd like to point out the same thing someone else pointed out somewhere else
the game's made in japan
it has japanese text in it
and yet you can't play it in japanese somehow lol
This is done really well! Not enough people cover this series, so thank you for giving it some love!
37:55 another minor detail, during this entire conversation... Pietro's NPC model is facing the camera. He's facing YOU or rather, Pablo the player, not your NPC character in the game.
fucking fire
I'm always so shocked when I hear someone uses "comprises" correctly instead of "comprised of".
How can I get my hands on a copy I can't find this game anywhere 😑
wanna mention, petro doesnt use teh ai respone he uses a orange textbox without the gear its not the ai talking there.
what is the name of the ARG on 0:26?
Thank you so much for this video, discovered your channel through this. I watched the original Valle Verde videos, then one of the top recommended “””breakdowns””” and was left thoroughly disappointed & frustrated (Who doesn’t even know Jesus is referred to as “lamb of god”?? Why review an overtly religious project when not knowing any basics?? Ok I’ll stop whining lol)
Anyway, this was a wonderful palate cleanser, the effort and research you went through shines brightly! Well done, and thanks again for posting. I hope it gets picked up by the algorithm / shared more, well earns views
(can we get a lgbt rights in the chat from you lol)
Hehe, glad you enjoyed it!
And, LGBT Rights~
What's the song that plays at 14:38 ?
Out of Phase from Parasite Eve
@@YuriTCC Ayy Thank you so much! I gotta play this sometime!
"Subject of ceremony" could also mean that Not was to be the literal subject of ceremony - as in, they wanted to worship him. He's the subject of a Ceremony. Given Not's power and the religious themes of the work, I don't think that's far-fetched. Not is a kind of non-omnipotent God in this world - he wasn't able to save the kids, but it still powerful enough to delete his ability to understand them. Maybe a commentary on prayer?
It seems to me like the AI is trying to make sense of the immense destructive power of nuclear weapons by equating them various religious beliefs. However, as the kids have a limited (and tbh, I would argue untainted) view of religion, they merge together into something horrifying. The preacher talking about the wrath of God and how it's depicted is evocative of nuclear blasts, and the song seems to end with a cross a bombed-out church.
36:44
A flame over the head or shoulder is symbolic of The Pentacost, a story where lil flames of the holy spirit / God / Jesus Himself whilst his body lay in the tomb; depends on the telling, alight unto his deciples and it allowed them to speak and be understood / understand what was said to them no matter the language barrier.
Which is hilarious because in the Old Testament the Tower Of Babel is a story about humans getting too big for their britches and *GASP!* working together to build a tower tall enough to reach Heaven and meet God / Become Like Gods ( again depends on the telling ). And God was unimpressed, so he made everyone speak different languags to nerf their cooperation and thats why people who speak different languages can't work together. . .
According to a 2000 year old story that really sounds like a christianized version of a story from ancient Greek mythology. A story about the O.G humans who caught a case of the old hubris and built a tall thing to get up to Olympus, split apart from eachother by a divine act to render the mortals incapable of the needed teamwork and explaining why folks heart's ache for their other half so hard they gotta write beautiful poetry and occasionally go to war about it 😂
I love studying world religions.
To be perfectly honest: as high quality as this is, moments like 34:24 is where this project just completely loses me
