"In boxes and drawers, I’ll hide our memories. Incase I need to live my life again.”
Love this line.
very poetic, oasis meets the smiths
most underrated band ever.
I love love love this band. I feel lucky to have found them. A lot of people are missing out, their lyrics are very beautiful.
Life again?
We all know how great they are.... one of the best xxx
The video was directed by Andy Knowles and Gregor Stevenson & Chris Stack. Of the video’s unique footage Andy Knowles said: “The video blends original camcorder footage from 1997 with newly shot footage to show current day Cribs performing with their younger selves. Despite its lo-fi, VHS look, the video uses a sophisticated mix of visual effects, hidden cuts, lookalikes and set decoration to sell the illusion that two generations of Cribs are performing together at the same time.
Hands down one of the best live bands I've ever seen and one of the few I've actually put money in to going to see time and time again.
This video made me cry with pride
The pleasure of listening to these songs is timeless and priceless! Several artists fail when trying to blend rock with alternative methods because the sound can turn into a disgustful medley or it can be warped by a mistaken tone or level either! The Cribs are the natural expression of what a family based band may create and rush out, being addicted to their style is a honor and it recoups your allegiance! We propel a band towards a certain direction whilst attending their gigs and rating the sound, it flows as a normal cycle but sometimes we have absolutely a doubt about a band or another one because they both look commendable and full of knowledge. Picking up the mistaken band can be harmful and we don't know how to choose correctly as most artists deserve to be highlighted, all of the alternative bands want to spread real music feelings and to convey an art attitude! Being appreciated helps you out and it determines your continuation! If you disdain mainstream you're not the normal guy and you seek the real and sheer musical anthem! The Cribs will just be placed in this huge box! Get in!
I have no idea how they did this video... These guys are awesome
Gary at the start is amazing "Doors open in 30 hours I think it is, yeah 30 hours!"
This is my fave music video that they’ve done. So awesome seeing footage from their youth days. Can’t wait for new material, will always love The Cribs. ❤️🤘
The younger images are actors.
Helen Swithenbank yes they use actors partially but the majority of the footage are actually them. They’ve just edited the video very well when they are swapping instruments at the beginning.
I don't know who made this music video, but he's a fuckin' genius !
This video makes me love The Cribs even more
These dudes jam. Dude sounds like the singer of the killers
We went to great lengths to to re-create the rehearsal room and gig venue from 1997. Shooting in the bandʼs hometown of Wakefield - the video was filmed at the exact same locations as the 17-year old home movies.”
Fall fact: the cribs are the only band that makes my life tolerable now that mes has died... long live the jarmans
It sounds like The Killers meeting the 80's. I'm in love with the cribs ! :)
The Killers are bullshit.

Sublime, great song, great sentiment in both song and video! The Cribs are shear class.

This makes me want to cry. In a good way.
Very evocative. Great footage of my beloved brothers as youngsters. Lots of humour. Gotta love The Cribs - always getting better (although my favourite album is still the eponymous - Another Number is my ringtone!)
my favourite band
YES!
Worth the wait!
Love the guitars!
GENIUS
What's at the end of this "hipster" trending shit?
The cribs is one of those bands that sacrificed fame and money for the love to their craft: decent, unpretentious music.
It has taken them almost two decades and when everything is said and done, the Cribs will be held as Heroes if they already aren't.
amazing !

10 years on and 2001 is long gone
So I didn't wanna write another leather jacket love song
But you were a drug I couldn't have more
And I know, it's not the same for you
In truth you're a saving grace
But you never knew what
If I was born at all, I knew I was always born to lose.
But you were a drug I couldn't have more
And I hope, it's not the same for you
In the dark of your city
I wonder if you ever call my name
And in boxes and drawers, I'll hide our memories
In case I need to live my life again
Of all the things I could've been spending time on
I didn't wanna write another leather jacket love song
But you were a drug I couldn't have more
And I hope it's not the same for you
AHHH! Finally! :)
Gooooooood!!
I love PANTERA!
Back in 2017 I was on a train up to Newcastle to go and see At The Drive In with Death From Above 1979 supporting and we happened to go through Wakefield and I remember thinking "The Cribs come from here and I know they used to practice at Audio Zone- I wonder where that is in the city" and just as I thought that, I saw it outside the bloody window. Right by the railway track and still open for business all these years later!!

I love this so much that it's slightly painful
Andy Knowles made it. He's pretty awesome.
Al after he’s had his coffee at 1:04
Shepherds bush tonight!
Not sure if this is a really amazing video, or if I'm a massively biased saddo Cribs fan
I'm still searching for the perfect leather jacket :-(
Considering a bowl cut...somehow I don't think I'll pull it off with the same allure
I love how you can literally hear the guitar going out of tune during the solo haha
It's so funny to see them at the same place with different ages.. sigh
Osset Town Hall looks a lot like Morely Town Hall
I legitimately thought this video was from 1994.
