Here’s how it has performing after 3 years and with is my wife helping me out with this review.

The infotainment is very advanced compared to other cars I drove. Some sendans, even SUV I knew and drive ( which are common in the roads) has to use theirs phones to navigate roads, answer and make calls or play music. While my mg5 core, i only have to plug a data cable, and booom, i can do all those in the infotainment. Plus the driving comfort the performance. Not to exagerate but I love the car.
When I was still choosing what car to get, MG5 wasnt in the list as I thought it would expensive as it looks and its features, I was surprised!
For durability and reliability, the depends on how we take care of it.

Maybe I just got used to the features of the infotainment. And just like I said, I am not using the infotainment that much. But you are correct with everything you said.

Hows the aftersales service of MG? Always read in forums to never trust Chinese Brands Aftersales service, They said that once you buy their unit they would leave you on your own.
Not true to us. Especially here in Cebu, we have a very good aftersales service experience..

we have 2 cars in Egypt Mg5 is my brother's and Hyundai Elantra CN7 is mine i like my Elantra it's a good quality, stable and fast car. when i drive my brother's car i thought I am gonna drive a crap but no no it was good car anyway but not fast i was surprised that Chinese cars went that far!

Idol nakaranas kana din ba na laging lumalas check engine ng MG5 mo and pag paahon ung daan nahihirapan siya umahon. Ano kaya problema ng unit ko kung sakali?
samin 2 urs transmission problem, ganda sana kso lki ng problema namin for checking pa if pasok s waraanty nila. kakadisnaya

Same here, I don’t drive that fast.. I love the comfort of this car.. not to mention the space inside and the looks..
This is my dream car. But I'm still skeptical about the parts and it's durability. We've seen a lot of reviews about this car but there are also a lot of good reviews. We can't risk or afford issues. We really need a reliable car. but I still want to buy this.
Mg5 is my first car. I could have settled with a toyota or a honda. But I feel more comfortable with the car build. My unit will be turning 3 yrs old on march next year and still the engine is very much in good condition. The only parts that had been replaced is my resistor block and my wheel bearing which is acceptable because this its my daily driver. And both parts came only a month since the request of the parts. And since the demand of parts are growing there are available parts available outside the casa offered by auto shops in our group. So no need to worry about parts.
I understand the hesitation sir @gollsie, but let me tell you that no car brand is perfect. The availability of the parts now is more available compared 3 years back. The build of the car is durable and I have no issues in the engine’s performance..
Some minor issues like the infotainment.
But overall, I am happy with my MG5..

Meron pong MT (Manual Transmission) itong unit ko, manual po ito..
And yes, CVT po ang AT ng MG5..
Aircon malamig ba?
Malamig. Mas malamig nah ngayon kasi nag change ako ng tint..
Karamihan sa 90k kl nag lalabasan sakit ng kotse
Ganun talaga sir.. buti nalang an layo ko pah.. importante, proper maintenance talaga at di kaskasero..hehe

Mag Tagalog ka na lang brad para mas natural dating mas madami pa manunuod sayo kasi mas makaka konek ka sa kanila. Di ka pa hirap and natural pa yung dating. 😉🤙

I am planning on upgrading my car to MG 5 style this month hopefully~ but a lot of my coworkers have been telling me to avoid buying MG, i did a whole bunch of research, and even made a list of other cars i can consider upgrading to, but honestly MG 5 style called to me 🥲 so i am still kind of set in getting it, but torn because of all the negative things i’ve been hearing 🥹

It’s a great variant, so premium inside.
We cannot please or get everyone’s approval, but I say, stick to your decision, by the end of the day it’s your car, not theirs.
I am happy and enjoying my MG5 for almost 4 years now..
3 years na mg5 style namin..so far wala pang main issue maliban dun sa pag bangga ko😂
