Bro you don't realize how many people are inspired by you and your a great teacher
hes literally one of the biggest reasons i pursued photography
He’s the reason I picked up a film camera lol.
Real talk looking for black photographers in general came across you already this week I just started shooting film Pentax camera
I love the dust particles part because sometimes film being imperfect makes it perfect. Just like a vinyl record, dust particles caught in the grooves causes the great static sound, giving it that old feel. So it’s kinda the same way with pictures!
Negative Lab Pro has been a huge difference maker for me! I honestly like the process of scanning my own film, it forces you to learn how to correctly edit your colors.
it's soooooo refreshing to see how honestly you talk about your work, process, and quality/// like obviously this is valuable as a tutorial but it's just really nice to hear you speak about the motivation, focus, slowing down and everything too. carries over to all kinds of creators!!!!
Hey Vuh! If you click “make a copy” at the bottom, it’ll create a positive file so you don’t have to worry about the colors and the exposure being inverted👍 much love brotha!
dont slow down bro keep going my guy love everything u put out
Yeah!!! Keep on creating! Hope he builds a giant awesome community
Yes but he also has to plan his strategy. For example, I know that in Instagram if you post various times a day they usually give you less visibility because of the algorithm and shit, so maybe it can be similar on CZcams if you over post. Vulhandes if you're not happy study a plan, look at other CZcamsr etc, and you will do fine
That change once you hit convert negative is so satisfying.
Being a music producer fulltime thats getting into film to prevent burnout... you've help me so much!!
Preciate you bro, you’re legitimately an inspiration. You’re the first photographer I keyed on in when asked who inspires me to shoot, outside my grandmother
been trying to find a good video that explains this process and who else but vuh to come through. Appreciate it man.
i think its so dope how huh once said "i'll never shoot film." yet the homie is killing the game. much love vuh keep on shooting.
Where TF did you download epson scan 2???????????????????????????? I’m here trying to make silverfast work bout to smash all my shit with a bat
@@portrasoftDid you ever figure it out? I need help lol
1 dislike in 3 hours. That’s how you know you’ve built a good community. Good work bro!!
Still one dislike 17 hours in, Good vibes only
@@sjangtepeltang ayyyy, yea bro!!
Good ass video. Per usual. ♥️
I barely started shooting film cause of you and now you drop a tutorial? It's a sign for me to stick with film for a bit.
This has been so helpful! I’d been hesitant to get an Epson flatbed v600 for a while because I heard it wasn’t too good. But clearly you showed the proof that it’s fantastic! Lab been ripping me off at $10 a roll for scanning.
You keep doing at least 4or 5 days a week all of us should shout out his videos every post for 2 months to keep him posting more, I feel like thats a good ass deal.
One of my friends uses negative lab pro too, looks awesome. Seems super easy to use but converts nicely. Thanks for sharing!
Getting into film photography and was wondering about scanning, this video came at the perfect time.
P.s idk if you know or not but to reset your Lightroom slider to default just double click the word. Sped up my workflow a little bit, thank you for being a great resource for film photography.
Man, I am glad you are having fun with film. I had to do that both 20 years ago and I am not going back to film. I do believe working with film makes you a better photographer.
Yo thank you vuh I been needing a video like this fr. Keep up the great content, appreciate you.
I've been scanning all day. I tip I just discovered to get rid of newton rings is by placing a cloth between the film holder and the scanner glass to make some space. I'm still unsure how much it affects the quality of the scan tho
wow i was just thinking about getting my own scanner. so helpful, thank you for the video!!
You could convert them with negative lab first, export them all, then bring back into lightroom again to avoid the opposite sliders issue if it really bothers anyone
good shit, you’re for sure my fav photography youtuber
I’m new to shooting film and you seem like a dope genuine dude. Instant sub!
this is perfect timing... im trying scanning for the first time this weekend! also gunna miss the upload frequency but completely get it 👍
I appreciate your videos bro! I'm learning little by little each video you post about film. Can't wait to get my own film camera !
It would be interesting to see how you develop film in the first place! Love your content VUH. Cheers from Spain!
This is a great video! thanks a lot for showing an affordable scanner and how well it performs!
You truly are talented. Thank you for sharing your content with us 🙏🏽❤️
The video I’ve been waiting for!!
Bro, you are a godsend! Thanks for this gem. ✊🏾
I think it is better if after white balancing you select the hole picture without the borders. Doing such small selection makes NLP to not count the hole light in the frame which could result in a not so good converted picture...
Insightful. Thanks for this. This gave me confidence in using my scanner and NLP. Thanks for being so casual about it.
Awesome tutorial, thanks for this man.. You're doing great work 🥰
been waiting for thisssss. Sick!
underrated white balance tip. always thought u had to use the white from the scanner. again great video
Yes! Great stuff. Thank you for this.
BEEN WAITIN ON THIS
I thrifted a brand new Canoscan 8800f, I def wanna upgrade because I feel like it takes too long idk if it's Vuescan or the scanner but the scans are sweet. Dope vid!
simple explanation and process i have learnt something thanks :)
I really appreciate this video. Thanks it’s super helpful.
this is great! I just got my scanner and I can’t wait to start!! Thank you
Might seem stupid but once you shoot a roll of film can you just take it out the tube, chop it up then scan it? or will the light effect it? like im confused about the first step lol. but this is a wonderful video
oh man this made me want to start scanning my own film again
Please make a video on how to get your negatives
Thank you my friend. Glad I stumbled upon ur channel. Definitely a new subbie ❤
As always, I thoroughly enjoy videos!
Love it love it, I’m working my way to completing my darkroom and incorporating film scans as Well as developing prints. Keep doing you my man. # 1.2.3 CLIK.
Dude your new profile pic is sick!
Mucho mucho love from Berlin. Keep the way sharing experiences :)
the vibes are IMMACULATE
would love more vids like this when the hiatus is done G, very simple and easy, looking to really develop and scan my own at home, finna check the developing one out!
The process changes from a person to person...I like your process because its simple and you're not selling a product...simply, passing game....Question, do you use a squeegee to clear out excess water from the film? Thanks
Word up. Yes I do I do
Our process is the exact same. Much love
I do home scans and developing. The picture in negative lab pro never comes out perfect. Always has a tint. I think I’m doing something wrong if yours comes out perfect every time
Fantastic video explaining this process.
Thanks for this video, can you please explain or maybe share a link or something that guides through taking film out of the roll? I'm new to this, and i just need to take my film out of the roll so that i can begin scanning at home. Thanks in advance!
Realy cool thanks alot 🤙
amazing stuff, Fire!!
Slow down is good, I only watched like 60% cause of lack of time. Good stuff.
Why don't you use the ANR glass? How do you prevent Newton rings?
Love your content. Thank you.
your video aesthetic is so nice
jeez!! u so genius bro!!
Never delete this video !
instantly subbed. really good stuff
He really does got it on him
yeah i know whatchu sayin
Laps around an apartment'
Phone in hand, dreaming about yuh. Introducing my soul to myself, telling yourself I love you when they don't see yuh do. God I see good in yuh, the extra o is for opportunity. If you look at the word God closely, it's two eye balls leaning against a wall. Worried or not, Jesus this my heart reaching out to yuh at the top or bottom spot. I got to get closer to yuh, but I can't do it alone. I know yuh with me, but I need your help everyday father in heaven. 🙏🏾💓💯
#God #mysoul
thank you bro for this video you are just awesome like anytime
Is this negative lab pro light room applications. The ineterface seems similar
I’m really new to this. So does this slip the developing process? The film comes straight out of the camera to this? I want to get into this with some 35mm point and shoot cameras and I’m curious.
Please do a video on exporting! It's so tricky and the Instagram compression sucks.
Ok so the idea is that, I can just shoot a roll of film with my point and shoot, then I can take out that roll of film, get the film out, scan it and then digitize it like in this video?
I don't need to get it developed first or do anything else? I thought that when you take film out of the canister it gets ruined.
This was great. Thanks.
Used to scan the same way but on 35mm falls a bit short quality wise... 120 film is THE way to go
To start , did u get your film developed at a store?
Thank you so much for this video! 😁
but exposing negetives to the light directly ?
that will ruin the negetives right ?
I am confused ... as everyone is saying " open the back lid of the film camera during photoshoot will ruin everything AS BECAUSE OF THE DIRECT LIGHT "
then how this will work ?
Love this!
I changed from scanning with also an Epson scanner to do this with my digital camera and a macro lens. Have you considered this? It's way faster and the quality is the same if not better, depending on the camera. In our German community someone developed a cheap copy stand to hold there camera.
Who did that - I need that asap

When is the book coming bro? need your work on my shelf
legend this video helped me heaps!
Great video!! Thanks
Always changing my scanning process with color. But honestly epson works best
nice video! Been following you for a minute now and love what you do. Do you ever get a magenta cast in your photos from the developing? How do you deal with that?
Just ordered an epson v600 :) wish i can develop it at home too one day
Thank you!
Have you ever converted film shot on your RZ67
I use negative lab pro but my negatives always look super cyan and I have correct a lot. How do you get such amazing colors straight out?
How to make sure that your scanner is printing higher resolution not just the size of an A4 paper as my home scanner. What’s the difference with your scanner?
Hi... Im starting to get into this. but i have heard that i need to get the film develop first otherwise i would lose the film? is that true? whats the very first step before this? just open the roll and start scanning ?
Does it work with 120mm film from a Mamiya 645 pro?
I know this is a couple years old now but I was curious if you are still using the V550 and are happy with it?
As soon as you said you scan on a flatbed scanner I was outa here. DSLR is the only way to go for me. My time is way to valuable to wait for a flatbed to scan at 10x less quality than my Canon 5D MK III can capture in 1/30th of a second. To each their own, but, I've moved on from flatbeds. I just don't have 5 lifetimes to devote to digitizing all my families photos, slides and negatives.
Lol such a pointless and drawn out comment
Did he use a regular scanner?
Does this program work well on windows? Thanks for showing us how to do this :)
Guys does anyone know if we can who's the same method to develop 3D film from the nishika n 8000
Did you send your film off to get developed or did you develop the film yourself?
