When you live with something every day, it becomes blasè.
This slaps us hard across the face to remind us Aussies how amazing our land, buildings and culture really is.
I get the blasé and the need for the reminder. I live by Lake superior. I’ve never had time in Australia to appreciate the beauty there. There is something about the big lake here that is amazing and I always try to take it in when I turn and see it. I don’t want it to get blasé! Thanks for the thought process and sharing your perspective. :-)

That is interesting… I know I remember learning about the opera house when I was in elementary school or something like that… It’s been a while… I’m sure I learned that then. Thank you for mentioning it now.
Opening scene of the orange peel refers to the idea if you put all the sections together you get an orange

The shadow the orange peel cast on the table also looked like the building’s silhouette
Tim was the perfect choice and he definitely didn't let them down..just fantastic.
Quite a few stars did cameos, a few opera stars that i don't know their names.. sorry. But Rock Legend Jimmy Barnes was the guy on the couch with him and the beautifull Courney Act was the girl in green! Also a shot od Crowded House doing their final performance on the stairs of the Opera House and also the shot of naked people by that guy that does all those lol.

My Adelle understood this song well before I did. She pointed out that there are STILL people in Sydney who complain that the Opera House is a waste of taxpayer money, a blight on the landscape, and so on.
