- Dom Di Tommaso explores the Sydney Opera House using his parkour and freerunning skills, and turns the world famous landmark in his hometown into the perfect parkour playground. The UNESCO World Heritage Site offered a wealth of creative routes and jumps for Dom Tomato to flip and roll before he performed a world’s first backflip on top of the iconic sails 🏃♂️ 🍅
Made with the assistance of The Sydney Opera House Trust. Activities performed in a controlled environment under the supervision of professionals.

The thing I absolutely LOVE about Dom's Red Bull videos is they show how professional and PHAT his movement can be, but also how playful his mindset is when it comes to interacting with the surrounding environment, which I think is something a lot of us parkourists strive for. To be able to make huge jumps, yet retain the little kid inside of us all. Big ups for yet another amazing video!
That's freerunning. Parkour is just getting from A to B as efficiently as possible.
He's atop one of the most iconic buildings ever... and in the 1980's having been on that shell in that exact position for sunrise... the mirror-smooth harbour awakened by ferries as the sun comes up... now that is a memory worth reliving. That was before those safety rails were added.... inches from a slippery fall!
We were building the new computer-controlled scenery system and could only work at night... so the inner works or the opera house were ours to explore.... each shell spine is a concrete tube just big enough to crawl through... and we did, laying flat at the peak, I flipped the hatch at the end to lay there looking directly to the harbour.... bliss.
Open the hatch to stand up as he did... i sure didn't feel like doing a backflip though!

I've also been one of a privileged few to have been on the top of that shell. My company was a sponsor for IT systems in the Opera house. One of my projects in the early 2000s was to get some WiFi links operating between the "house" and two other offices in the city which their staff were at. So basically I had to specify and setup the antennas one of which was on the very highest point. So yep was very much a thrill to get there.
It's so cool to finally see this video!! I've been so excited to see how it turned out after a full day on set as an extra. The shot's are amazing and Dom has such skill for freerunning and stunts. It was amazing to see it in person and it's amazing to see it now. Thank you guys for having me!

Bloody brilliant. At an arts centre right now without earphones so watched the whole thing without sound. I imagine the story as Dom going on his own parkour tour of the Opera House whilst others take the 'traditional' route haha.
Full of movements, ascents, descents, vaults etc. Stunning. Great to see Dom embrace stunt worl in the middle too haha.
