You guys nailed this one, you could show this shot to anyone and they'd think it was straight out of the movie. Awesome job!
Happend to me when they showed the first scene (theirs)
THEY LOOK IDENTICAL. AMAZING
Hell yeah its definitely amazing!
Good lord it’s crazy what you can achieve with Element 3D and a little bit of knowledge
Is Element 3D still worth buying today? It hasn't been updated in years.
@@williamcousert I think they update it for every new version of AE, but I think you’re right about the update as in no new features.
I guess I’d say it depends on what you’re wanting to do. Blender is free, but it’s also way more complicated. I think Element is a great way to get familiar with 3D. Plus it makes it very easy to implement into your scene considering it goes directly with AE. I like it a lot, but I also don’t use it extremely often. Following Andrew Kramer’s tutorials as well as Film Riot’s on how to use it will really open your eyes to the program and what is achievable with it.
You can get great results with it! I’d say yes it’s worth it, but of course it’s only worth it if you use it 🙂
@@williamcousert crack iyb
little bit?
With A little bit U can Only achieve A little bit
That looks incredible! Very very close to the high budget original.
Hats off!
This tutorial is pure gold, this scene is incredible, as always you guys!
I'm so glad that over a decade later, we still get the turbulent displacement song and dance lol. You'd think it would be old by now, but here I am still laughing every time Ryan says it because I know what's coming next. This video was awesome of course, I keep putting off getting element because I feel like it's been out so long that it must be too dated to bother, but Film Riot always comes along and proves me wrong haha.....but seriously though.... When are we getting Intercept?
True that. The turbulence displacement song never gets old 😂.
Film riot 🎖️🎖️💪
Agree with you on absolutely all points! I thought that Intercept is mostly forgotten but I am also waiting for it. Do we have to wait for the 10th anniversary of... waiting... to finally get it? Wouldn't be too far fetched now! Intercept 2025? Huh?
The detailed and still compact explanation is so sick.
That is spot on. Shows your immense talent and the power of After Effects. Bravo.
I love you guys. I have literally learned all technical aspects of filmmaking from you guys and couple other amazing channels. Thank you for sharing and teaching these techniques. FYI I am 51 years old and picked up a video camera for the first time in 2017. I made my first short at 48. and my first feature in 2020 and it is on amazon prime. (also made it into a few festivals) I thought you guys may want to know what an impact you have had on my life. Thank you again and I am looking forward to continuing this journey.
Once again, Ryan has blown my mind
"Turbulent Displacement"🕺🏽 - this was a good episode!!!!! Crazy what can be achieved with only AE & Element
I was always confused why you tried to do all these advanced effects on after effects and not something like blender or nuke, but honestly this is the first one that truly impressed me, it looks so good and realistic to the inspiration
Wow!!! You really show the full possibilities of element 3D. Incredible work!!!!!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all that you do!!! Watching your channel hasn’t gotten more interested in vfx and after effects!!!!
Perfect timing! Just saw the film this afternoon. Awesome job!
This is crazy that how close this is to the real shot & how easy you've made it look. Will definately recreate this & tag you 🪬
The consistency of Film Riot's quality on all their content is just insane.
Thats a huge cinematic piece of gold ❤️❤️❤️
always love when a turbulent displacement makes the cut
Perfect start to the weekend with a film riot banger
This is incredible! It is so realistic...
As far as I can tell, this recreation is perfect.
So Awesome to see that Ryan still use E3D. I am praying that we will see version 3 very very soon
Incredible visuals 😍😍😍 This is why I subscribed to FilmRiot 15 years ago haha
Best channel ever

Great Video! Also, thanks for ending with your good old epic music! It's good to have it around again!
the only and most awesome channel on youtube
Videos like this always show me, what a powerful tool After Effects really is.
Now that's FILM RIOT like always.
Ryan, you're good. Perhaps a little too good for big film companies sake.
Think I'm in love 😭
Outstanding.
I am really awaiting for this
in awe how from your problem solving and how close you made it.
i really love it... thank you
Awsome tutorial
Wow! Very cool!
This is awesome ❤️
You kill it man ❤❤
This is soooo freaking cool man!!! love it!!!
once again sir you nailed it. love ❤️ it. i am going to recreate this in after effects and blender.
Stll best VFX chanel in CZcams. Thanks, Ryan!
fantastic ...amazing work bro
Simply wow.
Never stop teaching, you are the best.
This is why Element 3D is the best thing that happened to After Effects!
Is Element 3D still worth buying today? It hasn't been updated in years.
@@williamcousert If you're planning to use it often. Then yes. Most of the time I can get away with element 3D, rather than going to a 3D software, rendering for a few hours, and getting back to after effects. Specially for motion graphic stuff.
Also, every other compositing software can integrate 3D models in production. (Nuke) But Element 3D is the only proper way for After Effects. (as far as I know) I've seen some plugins, and still you can import 3D models with native cineware support, but still, Element 3D is faster, stable and easier to understand since there are many tutorials available. So the short answer is definitely a Yes for me.
GREAT VIDEO!!
out of the box..great content..thanks for sharing....
Thanks thanks team learnt alot please keep making these types of tutorials🔥🔥🔥
That is what we call perfection done by perfectionist! 🤯🤯🤯

Best youtube suggestion ever
I think it's safe to say the film riot has the best vfx on all of youtube!
Fantastic.
Amazing job!!!
That's insane
Shout out from the Philippines!
Once again a fantastic tutorial. The Quantum Realm effect recreation is absolutely breathtaking! The level of detail and skill put into it is truly impressive!👌
Great breakdown.
Ryan Connoly and Andrew Kramer, you two are GOATs!
That looks really close to original shot 🤯🤯
This chanel is amazing
amazing
Most of your recreations lacked something but holy sh*t you nailed this one spot on. Amazing!!
u guys are insane
The results are amazingly good. How much time did this project take?
Awesome! You should create a composition training course.
TNX Ryan! 💥👏👍🤩
Crazzzzy af lord
Very Talented Work .
Love From Bangladesh ❤
Impressive
Great!
This is good
Hahaha, Awesome like always!!🔥🔥👏👏
Definitivamente, con este video, superaste a Andrew Kramer como el nuevo dios de After Effects
What the hell FR!? My brain is on fire! Magic!
Turbulent displace video of Josh never gets old
Wow!
Hey Film Riot, love your guys videos. I've been trying to find a mirror room effect tutorial but to no success. I imagine a person entering a hallway from the side of the scene with infinite versions of themselves looking back and forth with a slight delay. Video idea perhaps? Mainly to use in my own projects ^_^ thanks!!
unbelievable that something like this looking is possible to make at home without a huge VFX Studio!
Nice
thanks riot.
back with tutorial after long time..
this man's PC came from another world🤯
Cool
AMAZING good😀
So now imagine if you could work with a real pro app, like a node based one 😅... You never stop making crazy stuff on Nuke or Fusion.
Well done BTW ;)
Ima try this right now 😅
this is insane..
FANTASTICO !
Ryan the Best ❤️
Again, watching some tutorial that I probably will never use but still watch is anyway for the algorithm.
For a new visual effect, I would like to see how to make Atom Smasher's mask eye design (the way it opens and shuts), in the Black Adam movie.
