Weather: Heavy flooding, severe storms with tornadoes in Houston

- There is the chance for very heavy rain which could lead to additional flooding along the rivers and creeks that are still swollen from the flooding over the last few weeks. The northeastern portion of the viewing area is under a 4/4 'High' risk for flooding. The Flood Watch for areas near & north of I-10 including Houston from continues until 7 am Friday. An additional 2-4" of rain is possible for these areas with isolated amounts up to 6". Most of the viewing are is under a Tornado Watch until 10 pm. Any storms that develop have the chance of bringing large hail, strong winds and even an isolated tornado. The severe threat will end late tonight, but there is the chance for a few showers to continue into Friday morning.

Guys me my brother and my dad survived the tornado luckily we hid in a closet thank god hallelujah we are safe but it lasted a good 15-20 minutes and our power hasn’t gone on yet so it’s pitch black. I had anxiety my dad tried to calm me down I was very scared but thank god he stopped the big storm. My backyard is destroyed everything is in the pool and trash cans all on the streets and 2 trees broken. Hallelujah god thank you for saving my family. Amen🙏🏼

Yeah the damage very bad and I still have no light after over 16 hours. The winds were over 110 MPHS AND it didn’t say that in the alert that I got in my phone.

I grew up in Houston. Seems like storms are getting worse. I moved to San Diego 40 years and some days we get 30 inches of sunshine. To be honest i never miss Houston.
Good for you! I don’t understand why people from California move to Houston. I have 2 family members that moved last year now they regretted it! They are coming back in San Diego after this storm !😊
