Piers stayed in his lane, he was very tame. We all know he could have ripped her a new one, he didn’t, he stayed very low key. If this was a man stalker called Dennis, would we have compassion for him?..

    • @blondie4

If Dennis had wrongly been accused of sexually assaulting someone then you would want her head on a stick. That’s what has been done here with Fiona. Gadd has now admitted that some of the show is made up. After saying it was a true story and she did all those things.

This woman may be lying but this man Gadd accused this REAL person of:
1.Making allegations against his father to his employer. And threatening the entire family.
    2. Attacking his ex girlfriend.
    3. Attacking his ex trans girlfriend.
4.Crashing his comedy show and attacking him violently.
    5. S3xually Assaulting him by the river.
    6. Going to prison for stalking a previous employer.
7.Going to jail for stalking him.
He has not proven any of this stuff as true...but created a 6 part series about her and shared it with the world...yet people are ok with how he's destroyed this woman's life. You can not make up stuff like that and label it as a true story. This is not ok. His fans are sending this woman death threats for allegations he's making.

You'd have to be insane if you believed anything out of Fiona's mouth. She is NOT the victim, Richard Gadd is.
She was contradictory in everything she said. She wants a payout & she is lying she has NOT seen the programme. If she is not the person characterised then she'd say steaight up say it wasn't her. If it is her then she'd have to say exactly which parts are her & prove it. She's loving the attention & interviews.
Fiona has not got a shite show of winning a defamation case.
The burden of proof that she has been harmed, will be on her & she'd have to bring receipts. She's hoping to get a large settlement before anything gets to court.

Unfortunately, people have watched the programme and now have a vested interest which in essence is a clever way of destroying Fiona Harvey. Having not watched the programme myself, but have been told about it and listened to the FULL interview between Piers Morgan & Ms Harvey, I would suggest that people are very careful with their accusations. There is NO evidence as of yet of the 41K emails, the voice messages, or any of the other allegations set out in the series. She has said on record that she would support an investigation. Impartiality is always necessary and I would suggest that if any wrong doing was done, it will be proven, until then I won't make judgement except on the fact that a man who was struggling financially has now become rather wealthy over night.

I think piers conducted the interview well, he asked good questions and subtly grilled her on certain points.
Sure, there was enough tidbits in the show that allowed those that are tech savvy to dive into the internet and find her, but ultimately she came forward and identified herself.
Richard made it clear that the programme is about how the stalking and assault affected HIM, the conflicts he felt, the sympathy he had for her whilst also being quite scared of her etc, Martha isn’t the main character, it’s not about her.
Also Netflix and their lawyers will have gone over the scripts and the evidence provided by Richard that showed ll the messages, emails and letters. (It was the actual messages she sent that are in the programme. ). If they thought that she could be identified purely from incidents shown in the programme they would have addressed and changed parts of the script.
At the beginning of the series netflix say it’s a true story, I took that to mean that it was a true depiction of how the stalking, assaults and shaky career beginnings affected him and his life, the psychological impact on him so the speak. The character Martha is a dramatised depiction of the stalkers behaviour toward him.
I don’t agree with her being harassed and given death threats (if that’s true). I think that’s totally uncalled for but I believe she has made her situation worse by doing the piers interview and blatantly lying and contradicting herself. It will certainly reduce any empathy and sympathy the public may have felt for her.

Anyone fooled by Fiona Harvey isn't necessarily dumb. She's very clever and gives a good performance, and her 'good' persona would fool anyone at first hearing, or some of it anyway, but don't be taken in by it. Piers Morgan was exceptionally easy on her, and to an extent he got gulled by her himself. She's sincerely insincere if you understand my meaning. But she's seeking attention again, and is disgusted that Gadd and Netflix have a massive hit on their hands and is jealous of Gadd's paycheck. When she threatens to sue, it's that which is driving her, but she's too smart to do it. Having a legal background, no matter how inflated she's made it, she knows a good lawyer is going to tear her story to shreds in five minutes flat. Yes she stalked him. Gadd's no angel either and comes across as insincerely insincere! He sounds weak and pathetic at interview by comparison with her forceful lies. But if Fiona can only 'doubt' that Gadd has that many messages etc., why? She'd know and say for certain 'absolutely not', had she not been guilty of sending them.

Before I saw Baby Reindeer ,the headlines about it made me think it was going to be a stalker/ Misery type thing, but as the episodes went on and especially when the Darien backstory was shown, it made the current Martha situation small fry in comparison. Blocking emails and even finding another pub job could've solved a lot of the issues pretty quickly. Martha's presence seemed more like a distractor from the Donny's *true* source of anguish, the one he had kept to himself (until the public announcement of it on stage)

Well I think its important not to lump all mental health issues into one basket. There are many different types that are treated differently. The type of disorder this woman has is not an illness as such. Its a learned response to trauma. Also many are on a spectrum e.g. depression can be mild or severe and look very different in someone's life. This lady has a severe personality disorder which can only be treated by behaviour modification and therapy. She doesn't want the help.
