Joint custody is only in the benefit of the child if both parents are in accord or can come to an accord on how to raise the child. I believe his filing for joint-custody has to do with money and control primarily.
Some states get you for child support regardless Illinois sucks with that 👎🏽

Which unfortunately (and unpopular opinion) is probably why she even made that dark meat on the side comment in the first place. In my personal experience the black men (and I'm black) I tried dating never wanted anything serious (just ended up being about sex) or said i wasnt hood/ratchet enough. That was from black men of various class and calibers. Perhaps she felt like she wouldn't be taken seriously in a true love match. Both my ex husband and fiance are white. Long haul long term relationships. Good ones with meaning. Maybe she ended up in the exact same situation she was trying so hard to avoid. 🤷🏾♀️

Smart move black man!!!! Why should he have to be tied up in the legal system with child support for HIS DAMN OFFSPRING when he is clearly more than capable of financially providing on a consistent basis for his child without the assistance of the court system. THE COURTS shouldn't have a say on a set dollar amount he should be spending on his child. It's none of the court business any damn way. I hate the fact that women are just ABLE to put men on CS for 18 YEARS due to spite and using the child as pawn when agreements can be made outside of court for the well being if the child. So quick to have the white man tell you what to do, how much to spend, and how much time to delegate to YOUR CHILD. It's sad and despicable.
