High-school ended. Love it
This really hit home in so many ways…I have a 15 year old and he has been greatest teacher. A month before I turned 50 I had a ton of life realizations happen and one of the most altering was when my son approached me and said I was failing miserably as a mom. I share this not to encourage anyone is leave a nasty comment but only to say that so many other times
I would ignore it or walk away or chalk it up to being a teenager however he was right and I took ownership for it …. I was going through a not so great moment and was not handling it well at all. I wasn’t parented the best however I want to be a better parent one that my son needs. Listening to him like Gary mentions is everything. They want us our time and to be with us . Gary, my son and I watch you and love TRASH TALK and have made it a joint mother son business where we go hunting and come home and list it … thank you for that… know that you have changed the way my son and I see things…
Love this!! Thanks so much Gary! Whenever I want to check myself, I ask myself this question: "If I was giving a talk to a room of thousands of people, could I stand there and know that I'm confident in my position/what I'm saying even if those thousands of people there think I'm wrong?" If I can answer myself with "Yes!" then I'm doing well. If I answer "No, then I know I need to work on something in myself to get to where I can say "Yes"
