This collection has so many songs that deserve a proper release. Stickman. Taking a Fall. Dancing on the Highway......

@@bigchickentime7391 kill rock stars have proved to be good keepers of his legacy. New Moon was something no major label would’ve released.
And they now have the rights to Basement, so my fingers are crossed too man. Those songs are too good to just sit in some fuckers vault.

The rights to the basement stuff like stickman taking a fall and abused are songs the family (his step dad and mom, his birth father thinks all his music should not only be available but free, as that’s what Elliott believed) REALLY doesn’t want released for reasons beyond my understanding.
It can’t be cause of drug stuff cause (cough)true love(cough).
The thing is I know KRS gained the rights to Basement from ANTI, so if you buy it now the copyright will say Kill Rock Stars.
That’s the record label that did the recent expanded self titled, the phenomenal either/or rerelease, the New Moon release, and they remastered Roman Candle with Larry Crane (Elliott’s friend).
That’s how you manage a legacy. The XO and figure 8 reduxes has only 2-3 of 10 outtake studio songs from both albums. That’s Universal/UMG they’ll milk his music for decades. “Look! A rerelease with one extra song!”🙄
So fingers crossed man. I REALLY hope KRS does Basement right. I know Elliott had a finished 30 song track listing for it.
He recorded like 55 tracks for that album all in all.
@@RustinChole I'm guessing the songs he wrote referencing his step dad and how he may have treated him play a big part in why his estate don't release the songs...especially 'abused'

i think it’s “you got rid of me” instead of ‘that pretty to me’
also not sure abt the “skip your cough or to sorrow” i think it’s ‘cougher/coffer’ but i can’t figure it out . also the ‘some sick ass story’ i think is different i thought “some second story” but again i can’t figure it out
