Not just oxygen, strong oxidants, acids and many compounds (hydrocarbons, halogens, halons, concrete, sand and asbestos) causing fire and explosion hazards.

I saw that but it was an accident when one of his lipos went up while charging right? I was thinking cut it in half then toss it in, see if it's any different!

You can actually buy specific fire extinguishers for lipo fires called a Lith-Ex Fire Extinguisher.
I am amazed it didn't explode.since they go violent when poked, but this one cut in half and all plates shorted.

It's funny how the 4s floureons seem safer than the absima lipos, when they literally only cost £30 each
I've got 3 sets of them for the X maxx, btw the stock ESC is actually really nice to drive, nice rpm ranges and seems really efficient on the lipos, I get 40mins on 5.5a 4s lipos on the skatepark really going quite fast. Driven it through water, mud and seems fine so far. Just a waiting game I guess until it pops, but so far exceeded my expectations.
How are the floureons? I bought 4 but on of them came with a bad cell.
That's crazy! I wonder what is making them react like that. Don't really get what they are made of, that makes them burn up like that? Good demonstration on how dangerous those things really are.

I had a friend who was charging a thoroughly abused lipo, in a proper fireproof charging bag. The problem was he had at least 6 others batteries jammed in there with it. There's only so much a lipo sack can stand. Dude nearly burned the place down.

I loved the video guys, don't get me wrong, but I think the reason you didn't get the results you were hoping for was because when you cut them clean in half, it let them free burn, with no chance of pressure building up. Bunch of guys I fly quads with took a bunch of old Lipos to a buddy of mines farm out in the middle of nowhere. We shot them with shotguns and .22 rifles. Some of them just smoked, like yours, but if we hit them just right and the cells chemicals started mixing, with the outer casing still intact, man would they go up in a ball of fire, popping and moving around like a giant bottle rocket on crack..lol.
Cut up one of your 4-6s batteries that might be more fun right?
