- So just how many dolls DO I own doubles of? And WHY do I have duplicates? You'll have to watch to find out (and post-editing I got one more AG doll that's already in my collection lol).

I think that once there's both a wigswap AND an eyeswap, they're not really "duplicates" then. So like your Joss/Alice/Ingrid - I wouldn't consider them duplicates anymore than I'd say Molly, Sam, and Kristen are duplicates.
That's kind of how I see it. Technically, they're duplicates but once I change one of them up, I think of it as "a 26 base" or "a custom 62" or whatever (no longer the number alone).

I still have a really small collection but I’ve definitely thought about getting a duplicate to “replace” my worn-out, childhood Felicity in photos and for dressing up. I can’t stand the thought of accidentally damaging my 31-yr-old velveteen rabbit, you know? I mean, more than I’ve already damaged her over time. 😅
I also really love how most of your doubles serve as custom bases. You’ve inspired me to maybe also get a second Joss someday, for that very reason. This was such a fun video!
I love how some people get a duplicate in order to preserve their well-loved childhood dolls and also be able to enjoy one that's in good shape *today*. And I will not try to talk you out of creating a custom Joss of your own ;-)
This was such a great idea for a video, and very enjoyable to watch! It was really cool to see your duplicates and how different they've all ended up looking, whether through wig swaps, customization, or even just doll variations. Also, I've definitely started playing a game while watching your videos where I see how quickly I can name your dolls. Your newer dolls still trip me up sometimes, but I'm getting pretty fast with the older ones! 😂 Thank you so much for sharing this with us- it was great!

@@agtakesover It can sometimes be a challenge, since I watch enough AG channels at this point that it would be easy for me to get people's dolls confused. I like to think it helps keep me mentally sharp, lol. (And I do have a new name picked out for London, and a story for her, both of which in a sideways fashion give a nod to her original name.) Also, CZcams, please stop failing to send me notifications! Sorry that this reply is super out-of-date.
@@eliseelliot Ooh, I can't wait to learn about the story you give her! Also, I definitely feel you with the number of agtubers I watch and their collections getting muddied in my mind. I try to be mindful of that and add things like (our #26) or (our custom Evette) when mentioning dolls by name so that I'm not putting the burden of remembering them on viewers.
You did a great job customizing, I liked them all! I had gotten a Kanani for $5 but her hair was half missing. Bought a repro wig, it was sooo long and heavy the poor doll couldn't stand up on her own. So I cut it to a reasonable length and didn't regret it one bit!
Yes - I looked into repro wigs for Kanani, but it felt like they were all going to be so heavy that I opted to (for now anyway) stick with her original, thinned out wig.
Absolutely no shade, but I LOL’d when you said it may seem like you have an endless supply of gift cards because I’ve had that thought before! 😂 You must be very loved to receive so many! You do an amazing job budgeting!! 💪🏻
Completely understandable. We are pretty emphatic to family members that AG gift cards (and Etsy gift cards) make perfect presents and, fortunately, our family members listen. It also helps that my 22yr old has a big girl job now and is super supportive, so anniversary, birthday, and Christmas presents from her are AG gift cards. We are indeed loved!

It was really fun seeing your duplicates and how you made each of them unique and why. I have a few duplicates myself with Samantha and recently Kirstin. Mainly because I am trying to collect vintage versions of some of the OG girls. I loved seeing your Shimmering Silver and I love the names you gave each of them. She has been on my list of dream dolls since she came out and I was sad to miss out on her. I made a comment about that on your AGIG and someone reached out and offered to sell hers to me! Yay I couldn’t be happier. I love how our doll community helps one another out. Shout out to you Kristie and Beth Bacarella! ❤

That was a fun video! I have 3 Marie-Grace dolls. Two are fully custom with eyes and wigs. I made them many years ago. They all look so different now I forget they are all the same base doll!
This is relatable - I have to remind myself that Alice (the customized Joss with MG eyes and red wig) IS a Joss doll.
Okay, I am sooo glad I'm not the only one that gets doubles (some of them accidentally, haha)! My list and reasons are as follows:
2 Josephina's (one is named Josie): One was gotten in my childhood in honor of a family friend that had passed and was very supportive of my doll collecting and me in general and the other was given to me before I went on a collecting hiatus from another family friend who had gotten a few dolls for her grand kids and, when they grew out of them and she knew I loved dolls, she gave them to me and Josie was added to my collection.
2 Lindsey's: one I got on Ebay and her hair was TRASHED, so she is a WIP and has a new wig. And the other one was in almost perfect condition with almost her full meet for like $30 shipped but smelled like a garage/moldy attic.
2 Isabelle's: Honestly, the other Isabelle was a surprise because I bid on a few different ones on Ebay and didn't think anything about losing the bids but then I won one of them...and within an hour or so, I bid on what I thought was a really cheap lot of clothes and then, low and behold, the surprise Isabelle showed up as well.
2 Nellies: one is rocking California orange spray tan and I have to repaint the others teeth.
2 Marie Grace's: I got one to customize and she is still a WIP. And the other is in good condition with her pin curls who is renamed Matilda.
2 Kit's: I was mislead by a seller and my original Kit needs a TON of acne treatment for stains on her limbs. The other Kit was a TOTAL surprise that I got from my local thrift store that I NEVER get ANYTHING AG from (and she came with Blaire, because I couldn't leave her, and a Clydesdale and Kirsten followed the next week, haha)

I just did a quick count and yeah, I have almost as many as you. I do appreciate the comment that someone made about once the wig and/or eyes are swapped, they are no longer duplicates. Six have been made into boy dolls: Samantha/Sam, Jess/Jesse, Kit/Reid, Mia/Matt, Kaya/Dakota and Isabelle/Luke. I have two #28s - Jake and Alexander. I picked up a very TLC Saige and created my granddaughter doll, Cass. I gave one of my Julies blue eyes and she is My stand-in Elizabeth. My most recent is a Rebecca. I purchased the first one from a funky teen who had pierced the doll's ears in ways that wouldn't have been cool in 1914. I found another TLC Rebecca and swapped the wigs. The funky one is now Becky with short blonde hair (to show off her multiple piercings). It's all fun and I'm glad I am not alone in this ...lol

I love that you are re-homing London to someone who needs an Addy old. :) I would put Margot's wig on your custom Corinne. Corinne looks awesome with bangs and short hair. Laurel is so pretty. I used to have two Kits for a hot minute. I bought a Kit without knowing she was a first edition, and while she was in beautiful condition she had a more "pleasant company" face, which I'm not a huge fan of. I moved and had that Kit in storage, and I was missing Kit, and I found a cheap one on mercari. The second one i bought had a face that felt much more nostalgic to me (2005-10, if I'm guessing), and I fell DEEPLY in love. I wound up selling my older Kit, because having both of them at the same time just felt excessive to me (I don’t have a ton of room for my dolls lol). If I were to get another duplicate I would get an Addy, since mine has been rewigged. 😊
I love when people "admit" that they prefer a newer version of a mold. I STRONGLY prefer the older Jess and Sonali molds to newer versions, but when it comes to JLY4, I actually prefer the later version and I feel like a lot of ppl think that's sacrilege.
@@agtakesover I honestly can see beauty in both versions of the Sonali, though I do prefer the older style, but the Jess mold I can only tell is different if you show me both versions side by side 😬 I'm still trying to figure out what was changed!
One of these days I'll gather all my Jess molds and go over the differences in the mold over time ;)
I actually really like Corinne with curly hair, but I also think she'd be really cute with a short hair style like a bob or even a pixie cut.
I decide on a final look for that second Corinne, so I made a video about that, but it hasn't aired yet. Stay tuned - you're not far off ;-)

oh my gosh, I LOVE that you did a "roadtrip playlist"! I hadn't realised that so many other people listen/clean at the same time like I do!
re having duplicates myself, I wouldn't say that I have a SMALL collection, but I do have to reign it in somehow, and what I've decided on working for me is one of each tone in each mould. So def no duplicates. In THEORY. In practice, I currently have a Sonali and (customised) Cecile who are duplicates within my own framework (but not yours) - and I can justify it if I want to in that they look VERY different, but that is a slippery slope. Another example of that is #15 and.. I'm not sure of her number, the medium classic mould with blue eyes. In THAT case, it's even more pronounced because there's about 15yrs age difference between them and the colour of their vinyl is very different, let alone their hair and eyes - IF I keep just one, I do want her to have brown eyes, but I prefer the golden-medium shade over the zombie-ashen 15, so.. I've been dithering, and can honestly see a real reason to keep both. But the slippery slope again, and I STILL don't have all of the moulds in all of the legit tones, so... Eventually I WILL run out of room (the case could be made that I already have, truth be told).
Re: the roadtrip playlist, I wish more agtubers would make playlists like that. I definitely like listening to videos while I multitask :-) That's a very cool way to approach collecting - one in each skin tone of each mold. How many are you up to?
@@agtakesover My spreadsheet tells me that I'm currently at 32 - that includes for me everyone with a name and personality. (But I've a "bits box" with bits for customising, so like a 61 for her green eyes, and an exceedingly rough 26 for her amber - dunno if they'd count.) I think the mould that I've the most "complete" is josefina-- I've pale, light, medium, dark, and darkest (not interested in the two cyo 'medium' distinctions) because it's my long time fav. Oh, no, I've all of the addy's except pale, and every sonali (plus the aforementioned duplicate) except the newer darkest boy. I have similar qualms as you with the jess mould, which is why it's taking me so long to fulfill that one...
I watched this one in house but rewatching and I still love this video. As somebody who has questioned (in a not judge-y way) why people get duplicates, this was so interesting and makes a lot more sense.
joss convert here, she'll never be my favorite but I like her a lot more now than I used to!

I only have one set of duplicates. I have two Kanani dolls, my childhood doll and one I found at a consignment sale for $25. My childhood Kanani has loose limbs and her hair looks similar to your Kanani but I didn’t want to send her in for a new head because her original head and the one the doll hospital currently uses are just so different. So when i got the consignment sale Kanani, I sent her in for a new head so that I could have a Kanani with a pristine condition wig! They look different enough to me that I don't mind having two of them! I love your videos and collection, I can't wait to see what's next!!
Oh, the woes of Kanani's hair. Just this morning, I watched someone's Kanani restoration video and thought, "I should give Kanani's hair some TLC. She's overdue for it" lol. I definitely understand the dilemma of wanting new hair but not a new face for Kanani, which makes the hospital decision hard.

I do have some duplicates and that is because I love the doll so much and they are easy to dress. I want to buy a few more also. One is Evette, and I had a second but gifted it to my middle daughter who she looks like. I would like another Evette, and then another 121 and 107. I just love dressing those dolls and sewing/knitting/crocheting for them. I just like them. Thank you for sharing your joy, Oh and I made mine into twins also and purchased over this last AG after the holiday sale 2 of many of the mix and match for next year holidays.
That's a really interesting take - I never thought about ease of dressing a doll being a reason to have a duplicate, but it makes perfect sense to me. And I agree - we have Evette and 107 and they're both REALLY easy to dress because everything looks good on them. My wife just got 121 but hasn't unboxed her yet, so we'll see if she finds that to be the case with her as well.

That's funny - I even forgot we have two Melodys until after this aired (one is my younger daughter's and I don't consider her part of my collection). Are your Mollys, Kits, and Samanthas exact duplicates or have some of them been customized? I'd love to hear the story behind them. (and I'm so glad you enjoy the channel!)
None customized but they are all different versions so they look different to me!
@@steph585 I have no trouble believing that - I think the earlier dolls were available over such a long time span that they really changed a lot and the earliest vs. the most recent versions look wildly different.

I have 2 #26s the first one was really rough looking so I customized her and the second is left as is. I would love to eventually get a second Josafina because she was my first childhood doll. I want a second because her wig has thinned so badly due to me taking her with me everywhere and really going in with the brush everyday. I have thought about rewiging her but I almost want to leave her in her current state as a bit of a testament to how much I loved her.
I love that people sometimes get duplicates rather than replacing or rewigging their childhood dolls. If we had a Josefina in better condition than Grace's childhood one, she'd probably be in rotation more often in our collection.
I think I have a tlc Samantha from the thrift store from the summer. Me and my sister both have kanini. Thats all the doubles that I have in my collection. I've seen other collocters with 5 or 6 the same dolls
The only one we have more than 2 of is Joss (3 of her) but you'd never even know it because the duplicates are customized. I do find it fascinating to learn about different people's approaches to collecting.
I have 2 Caroline's and that's bc I bought a huge lot that came with a pre beforever version of her. Caroline was my first AG doll and I have a huge soft spot for her. I fixed up the duplicate and for now she's modeling her traveling outfit.
Huh. I didn't realize there even was a pre-BeForever version until you mentioned it but the AG wiki confirmed the first one had a different book and slightly lighter eyebrows. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks - Alice is so beautiful. It makes me a little sad that AG hasn't made a Joss mold as pretty as THE Joss (imo of course) but what they don't see fit to do, the fans create for themselves ;-)

I have two pairs of duplicates - my 25 twins I bought specifically to be identical twins and a custom and non-custom Rebecca. Custom Rebecca is a boy, but I love Rebecca as is too much that I bought a second. I’ve had other duplicates, but only to figure out which I wanted to keep. I can’t fathom keeping duplicates with such a large collection. However, my mom has several duplicates of my dolls in her collection, and I would be tempted to keep some of those…like her BF Addy since mine is PC and very different. I definitely understand why many people have duplicates….and for the right dolls, I’d probably have more. Dolls vary so much, especially spanning a lot of time. Plus it’s often fun to customize one and keep the other original.
I love Joss’ mold, but I can’t with her (what I felt was thin) layered wig. I sold my first one because of it, had regrets enough to buy a second, but it wasn’t long before I re-wigged her. I do love Joss customs! Much like MG customs….which reminds me I have two MG dolls, too. 😹 They are both customized, and it’s hard to believe they are the same doll. So I guess I have three sets of duplicates! I’d totally buy another MG to customize. I’m not crazy about her as she comes, but she’s a good custom base.
I think the Josefina mold always looks good as a custom boy option (I see a lot of ppl use Grace and Rebecca specifically) so I completely get that. Surprisingly enough, we've never custom created a boy doll (I guess because we have Logan and four TM boy dolls). And MG *is* a great custom base. Though I confess now that we have so many more MG mold dolls I would be okay parting with our MG lol.

I've done a wig removal video so I'm halfway there lol. One of these days I'll do a video where the wig removal and replacement happen in the same video ;-)
I've seen afew people use Crayola super tip markers to add freckles too

Yes, I have a few doubles. I have a second Josefina, with a new, shorter (Chrissa) wig. I wanted to keep my original Josefina in her time period and story line, but I also wanted one to play with and redress.
I also really wanted more Black dolls in my collection as I began the year with only four: Addy, Melody, Gabriella and TM58. Once again, I keep Addy and Melody historically accurate but wanted some modern counterparts. So I re-wigged a second TLC Melody with a Chrissa wig (and named her Meliah) and turned a second TLC Addy into my turquoise-eyed, freckle faced Georgia. However, I would love to add more.
( BTW, where do you find those eye-liner decals? I think Georgia needs some!)
Yes, Evette - beautiful doll, but if you just saw her in the wild with no idea of her story, you'd never know she was intended to be half Black. 😔
I have three Kit dolls, but all remain historically accurate as I'm planning to give them to children in our family and hopefully interest them in learning about the "Great Depression"
I do love that short bob wig on your FKA Julie! I have an extra one of those that I was planning to sell, but her hair has been cut so she wouldn't be worth much.
DollsUCraft and LittleBitty Hearts each made some of the eyeliner and lash decals we have, but the latter is no longer in the same business. And re: Evette...I think Evette's features are lovely and DO occur in people with European and African American backgrounds. I don't think that's the issue and I certainly wouldn't want critics (myself included) to make any biracial child feel "not Black enough". The issue I have is that this was AG's FIRST attempt at an African American /White biracial doll and they very intentionally went with a combination that is often fetishized and valued for the dominance of white features. I don't mind her as a representation of a biracial doll at all, but as the FIRST representation I think AG let a lot of little girls (and adults) down.

In American Girl I collect one new in box never removed to keep new in my collection of my favorite. If I buy a duplicate or a third it’s usually new out of box/ used in new condition of my favorite to dress pose and enjoy out of box. I have also done the same in my Barbie Silkstone collection. Not so strange at all.

That's what I meant when I said her hair looked like a Sanderson sister ;-) She doesn't usually give such strong Bette Midler vibes, but this hairstyle does it for her.
If i lived in America, id collect AG much more than i do, but its not really viable for me all the way in Australia haha, im glad i can live vicariously though collectors like you! ❤
Also, I only own 3 AG dolls- but 2 of them are *technically* duplicates. I have a 1993 Samantha, and a BeForever Samantha. I got BeForever Samantha because I wanted one I felt comfortable to actually play around with instead of just having her sit in her meet outfit lol

As you know I have a pretty large collection so I have many multiples. It is kind of hard to know for certain the exact number because not all customs I have bought listed what base doll was used in the description. Two dolls I know I have multiples of (that aren’t being customized) are Kit and Rebecca. I have 2 Kits: my first doll back in 2011\2012 along with Ruthie from the Boston/Natick store and a Beforever version I bought in 2019. I have 3 Rebecca dolls. I have a Beforever version (Ana as Rebecca’s cousin) I got when I bought BF Kit, one I got from EBay back in 2018, and a third that I bought in rough shape to customize. I also have 2 Carolines: one I bought in 2015 and another I bought with an extremely tattered wig in order to customize (I love her eyes). I have a Felicity I bought off Mercari that I’m not in love with so I might customize her (she smells musty and her wig just isn’t it) and I also got a BF version in 2019. I am devastated that I tarried in making a decision and lost out on a 35th anniversary edition of Felicity. Drat! I know there are more but I won’t bore anyone reading this with a ridiculously long comment 😉.

I agree with you that Joss is the best Joss mold. She just has such a sweet face. I’m glad I was on agig to see how pretty she was, because her stock photos were absolutely not the same doll, lol. I have one set of duplicates in my collection of about 45. I really wanted a 5, who tends to not be super expensive but isn,t very common to see for sale at this point. I was looking for months until I saw one in good condition at a good price. She’s the later version, with the revised, non-pie bangs, which wasn’t a problem for me because I’m not married to the pie bang. I know a lot of people LOVE them but I’m pretty neutral on the issue. Even so, after my 5 arrived, I loved her but still found myself wanting an older version with pie bangs! Go fig. So I decided to continue keeping an eye out, thinking it would be a while since it took so long to get my first, but not two weeks later I saw one in a Facebook group for $50 so home she came. I was worried she wouldn’t end up being the one, because she’s from the early 2000s which isn’t my favorite era for the classic mold, the mouth is a little different and I usually don’t prefer it. But after getting her I fell in love, so she’s staying, and so is my first, because they truly look completely different.

I have what I consider a smallish collection of around 35 dolls. My husband considers it a large collection🤣. Little dies he know. I only have twi duplicates in my collection, although my daughter and I duplicate 3 additional dolls. My dups are an early Felicity I got at the thrift store for $2.99 and my 2000’s Felicity. They look very different. I also have 2 Josefinas, my original one and one I bought off eBay with a shirt cut wig. Shirt haired Josefina, my Autumn has always been modern in collection and they look nothing alike.
I’d love to see all the clothes that Grace has made.
Yes - Duplicate Felicity dolls make perfect sense - that's definitely a doll that changes a LOT over time. And keeping one Josefina historical while the other is modern makes a lot of sense, too.
Great video! I thought I was the only one to have several duplicates 😂 Basically I ran across great deals I just couldn’t pass up. I did customize a couple but most were left in their original state. Samantha-4, Molly-3, Addy-2, Saige-2, Kit-2, and a couple more 🤦🏽♀️
So in some ways we're alike - some get customized, some get left as duplicates, and sometimes you just can't pass up a deal lol.
I only own a few doubles and I've been slowly trying to control myself not to buy doubles anymore. Lol❤
Straight up duplicates - I don't want too many (so far only a few dolls in our collection have clones). But when one gets customized, does it *really* count?? ;-)
I like having a white body and a tan body of the orginal three and I also enjoy my green defective Kirsten but I used to have more doubles. Just had to downsize. Oh I have a second Isabelle and Emerson too. ❤
That makes sense. At one time we had three Kirstens (two tan bodies and a white body) but that was sheer coincidence - we had gotten them all randomly in lots and never planned on keeping them. One of them tempted me, but in the end they all went to very good homes and were more appreciated there than they'd been here.
I have two of Caroline, Elizabeth, Saige and McKenna. I have 2 Caroline’s because she is my ultimate favorite and wanted to keep one pristine and the other to dress in modern outfits. I have a pristine Elizabeth and the my sis gave me one that I love to dress modern also. The other 2 dupes I have are bald and I use them to change out their wigs for a different look, I got them because I loved their eyes and freckles so I got extra. I’m thinking I would like another Nanea to rewig her because she is also a top favorite in my collection.
I think that's a pretty common reason some ppl get doubles - they want to keep one historical historical but want a duplicate to modernize. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me! Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your collection!
i have 2 addys. one was a childhood doll. her wig was so bad i gave her a dread wig, and the second one i got after #85 was retired and found a similar wig to make her like 85. in my collection they’re twins. Addison & Melanie

I have duplicates. I'm the youngest in our family and I always wanted a twin. I own 5 sets of twins, 2 sets of triplets, a set of Quadruplets and a set of quintuplets. Then there's the replacement dolls for the ones who became someone else. The boy dolls who AG changed the skintone or slightly changed their facemold ,and they became multiples.
I have to know - who are the quintuplets and how did you end up with so many of one doll?
I had been reading books on Birth Order and became fascinated with multiple births. My sister and I are 17 years apart, me being the youngest. There was a sister between us,she being 14 years older than me, she died as a baby. My mother miscarried twice after me. So with the age difference of my sister and I , I'm basically an only child. I desperately wanted siblings to grow up with. Fast forward many years and I got my wish, but in doll form

I do have multiple dolls, I have four #24's, three Tenny's, two Molly's and probably more. I just can't remember.. After watchimg this video I nee another Claudie!

I have duplicate dolls. It's amazing to me how DIFFRENT they are from pleasant company to Mattel.the earlier dolls are much better made. Face face,is unbelievable.

Forget differences from PC to Mattel - even from within Mattel, the molds have changed SO much. Jess and Sonali molds have changed the most of all of them, I think.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video,, thanks… The only duplicate’s I have are two #26 , she’s just too gorgeous not to have two. One is still factory the 2nd I gave her a reddish/brown wavy/slight curl wig, and added freckles , she’s my mom’s lookalike as a child, named Dottie , and I have two Addys, one factory Historical, the 2nd modern, and I’m considering getting another Claudie to modernize.
Great choices for duplicates! And never will I ever try to talk someone out of getting a Claudie doll, so I say go for it ;-)

I’m getting pretty discouraged from commenting on videos because a least a ¼ of the time they seem to just disappear and I don’t know why. 🙁 But I’m trying again anyway. I enjoyed this video and absolutely adore your Brooklyn and 2nd Claudie! The only duplicate I have is Joss because I wanted more Joss molds and I simply can’t stand the new Joss eyebrows! You had asked about Corinne custom recommendations and there’s a short brown wig on QueenBdesignerdolls on Etsy modelled on a Corinne that makes her look stunning!

@agtakesover right now an all my dolls video would be a challenge where I live because management is very strict and they don't want dolls all over the place. I live in a group home apartment setting.

@agtakesover they are with me but the roommate would throw a fit if I had to take them all out to do a video maybe when I get a single in the building I could try an all my dolls video. Either that or when my family breaks down and puts a down payment on a condo for me. Group home life isn't what I plan to do forever.

I loved the video I have several duplicate dolls. We have 3 Addy, 3 Cecil, 3 Kirsten, 2 Isabell , 3 #26, 2 Rebecca ,2 Makena 3 Melody, 2 Nellie 3 Samantha 2 Makena. 4 kaya 3 Josefina. Some of the dolls I have multiple of because I have my own dolls and my granddaughters also have their dolls. There also were not a lot of African American/ dolls of color so we ended up buying multiples of the same dolls. The historical dolls I always keep one historical and the other modern. I have thought about selling some of my extras but have not figured out how to do it. Previously you have told me about Buy sell trade groups but I am a procrastinator at times so have not looked into it. I realize I don't like customizing dolls. so I just dress them differently. I would love to get another #58 but I am sending my 58 to the doll hospital for a new head. her hair got destroyed so now she will be mine when she comes back. I think I have a problem . Yes, Do a video of all the clothes Grace made that will be great.
Oh, how could I have forgotten we have two Melody dolls?? My little one really loved our Melody. That was the doll she always gravitated to, so I found one in rough shape and cheap, and she is strictly the kiddo's doll. I didn't think of her because she's not technically part of my collection.
And you're right - with fewer African American dolls, it makes sense you'd end up with multiples. I love that with the 62 and the 47 whose wigs we swap out, we're able to have different hairstyles represented in our collection, too (that AG has never and probably *will* never make for their black dolls).
And it makes a lot of sense that you have duplicates for your grandkids!
I love watching your videos so thank you for making my reality more fun. I finally dressed 6 of the dolls for Halloween so the girls and I are going to take some pictures of them outside by some of the houses in our neighborhood that decorates for Halloween. I generally don't decorate. (Halloween is not my thing) The twins however love Halloween so trying to go with it. @@agtakesover

What is a CYO?
It'a a Create Your Own doll, which is an option on AG's website where you can choose from different face molds, skin tones, eye colors, hair colors and styles, etc. to create a custom doll they'll make for you.
