Im finally enjoying watching video's again !!!...... Every one here in the States seems to have gotten all up in Politics and lost track of why their veiwers started watching them in the first place !!!.......good old tips and tricks in the survival/bushcraft world !!!!......thanks for the refreshing video !!!
NICE ONE Alan....can't beat a good frosty night under the stars. We had Friday night out on the beach with just a bivi bag - testing some new issue kit - which is super - and having a skinny dip in the sea. Brrr -2.2C - but was fun warming up afterwards...lol Stay well, stay safe, Helen with Katarin and Terri with Robyn.
Nice one. Yes, it was chilly. I was fishing on Chesil Beach. I stayed the night in a beach buddy shelter, which is open fronted. It actually warmed up and started raining at 7.00am this morning. All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
I have one of those hammock tents, mine must be an older model though as I don't have windows. I tried it out in October, it was great except the chimney hole was too small for the stove I was supposed to borrow, I have brought some fire proof ribbon and a stove so hopefully itl all work out well next time I get to try it out :D
Nice setup, Great to get out and away from all the crud. Mark's setup does he use a trolley get all that gear into woods. So lucky have wood can have a setup like that. Dutch oven 😂🤢
Nearly fell of my chair laughing so hard at 7:48! Wasn't expecting that! Then seeing poor Mark with the collar of his jumper up over his mouth... 😂😅 Other than that whole incident, another interesting video and review. How does the Dutch Army tent hold up in the rain? I love the look and shape of it. Great price as well. Some times they come up in U.S. surplus shops as well.
I really like the Dutch army tent, apart from it being a bit heavy. Some people say they leak, but that has never happened to mine. They are 20-30 years old now, so it depends on how its been looked after. Generally, as long as the canvas is ok and you treat it with some waterproof stuff when you get it, they are ok. Also set up nice and tight, you see so many videos of them all saggy and then the person complains it leaks. 😁
@@frogmaster83 Hello. I was wondering what the make/model of the flecterb jacket was that you are wearing and is it available online please? Thanks in advance and thanks for cool video
Nice camp. I'd think twice about using the water from heating your 'ration type thing' as the outer plastic, label, glue and ink has not been designed to be boiled and drunk. Somebody tagged me and when I followed it up with one of the companies producing these meals they said 'we understand your concern, but we don't even know what we should be testing for'. In a survival situation you may not have a choice but for a simple camp use some fresh water for your brew... just saying
No, watching ya setup and packup is not boring. It's why I watch you, Mark, Andy and Simon. Show us everything.
I will try to remember to include more in the future. 👍
40 tent Mark living the life of luxury again.
Lovely winter camp vid Allan. That tent of Mark’s looks positively palatial!! Love it! Looking forward to your next winter venture. ❄️🥶
Thanks for watching Ben. I am not really a fan of the whole hot tent thing, but this one is quite nice.
Bloody crying here with that last bit... seen it before but still got me in bloody tears of laughter.
Well these things happen. 😁
If Jim had done that in my tent I would have dropped a log in his billy can.
😂👍
Ah, the Mk I Allan tent heater, unfortunately recalled due to dangerous emission levels 😂
Yes its a problem with old models. 😁

Cold and windy 😮😮 poor old Mark. 😂😂
😁😁👍👍
£35 for the Dutch army tent, well done, I think mine cost about £80, 10-15 years ago, off eBay.
Up until last year they were £35 on Military Mart.

Marc lives right on the edge of the wood, so he don't have to go far.
Great video 🌳🏕🔥🤣💨💩 need to get my Dutch army tent out this year 😎😊👍🏻
Good time of year for it.
Good one mate need to catch up soon going out in the lavvu with the stove for a 2 nighter next weekend 😊

British Army rat packs are meant to be boil in the bag and they've been used this way (brewing up at same time) for decades with no problems.
Its always been done this way and I am still here to tell the tail. Its a good point though. 👍
Just like hexamine blocks ;)@@patrickbaker1470
Those army tents aren't waterproof....at least mine wasn't......had to use a tarp
They are getting old now and need regular waterproofing. Mine has never let me down yet. 😁
