  • Blair witch style hunting video.
I just videoed some on my phone and tried to put the pieces together to tell the story.
Main take away. Be positive it’s a legal bull before you pull the trigger.
We headed back for the same hunt we did 3 years prior to try to get Sam’s tag punched.
Fly in drop off Alaska hunt.
    Caribou and moose tags.
I’m using my Christensen Arms Ridgeline Titanium in 28 nosler
    Burris Eliminator Scope

Dude. 9mm is not even close to being bear protection. That's a false sense of security right there. If you're going to carry a handgun for protection in lieu of a long gun, please carry a revolver in the future. Not a 9 mm, 10 mm, or .45 ACP -- a revolver. .41 mag, .44 mag or something bigger.

Hey just a heads up, Using the walkie talkie's is illegal. I know you didn't use it to find the moose are anything like that. Just a heads up in case you ever make another trip up. I'd hate for your hunt to get spoiled by something like that. Beautiful you by the way.

I keep wanting to edit that.
      It didn't come off right.
I thought it was legal. But to close to legal. I thought it was 56 before it looked at me. Then i thought no it's not that big. I thought it was big enough. But to close to be shooting also. I thought it was 53 probably when i pulled the trigger.
I also edited out where I said, the worst part would be hauling all this out and then having to turn the meat over.
It still wouldn't go to waste. It gets donated. I'd have to pay a fine.
But nothing is wasted. A resident could actually shoot any bull.

    • @cocheran
      @cocheran  Před 2 lety +1

Tags are over the counter. And most of the state is public land.
You can purchase tags and get info on Alaska’s game and fish website.
Booking with a transport company like this makes the hunt a lot easier.
I think next time I’m gonna try it solely from my truck. Gonna take some planning 🤔

      ? Not sure the question.
I shot one at 100. Touching the orange
Then shot one at 560. That’s the target i show.
Then I shot one at 350. It was about 5” high. I changed my ballistic coefficient in the scope and got it on. And took a couple in between at 560. The last one i shot at 560 was the closest to center.
The last one at 300 bullseyed the target.
1 moa at 560 is 5.6”. Didn’t plan to shoot that far. Just like it to be on.
