Nightshade's notes: This script was something of a gift from Otherworldlywriter, based on a prompt I requested during a writer/VA event on discord. It will be open for public use after this, so you'll have to opportunity to hear other artists do their take on it, but it's a big honor to be the first. I have wanted to tackle a demon x angel forbidden romance for a long time. (I'm also a big fan of Good Omens, which only made that desire stronger.) Otherworldlywriter has mentioned having ideas for multiple parts, and, you know, I don't want to pressure them, but this script came out so absolutely lovely that I may be a tad overexcited about idea of continuing.
This is also my second art commission from Trulycertain, who was kind enough to work on it even after falling ill shortly after I made the request. I just absolutely love her painterly style, and I thought it was a really good match for an otherworldly spirit of the heavenly realm. There's something almost... insubstantial about her final look, like she might disappear into mist if you look away, and yet she's also very real.

i had the confidence and she swept my damn legs out with her earnestness

This was a fun audio to wrap presents to. A demon and an angel, just tired of the fighting. I'm reminded of Babylon 5, when Kosh took the form of G'kar's late father and told him "If both sides are dead, history's not going to care who's to blame".Cool audio My Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍

@@nightshadequeenasmr You realy should complete the entire B5 series. Everything that was ever predicted by psychics, visions, and what not in the first 3 seasons all came true in the last 2 seasons. Even Vir telling Mr. Morden that he wanted his head on a pike and that he would wave to him if it happened.😆
I really like this. Mixxing the post apocalyptic industrial aesthetic with the whole angels and demons thing is really unique. It reminds me of the album paradise lost by symphony X
Did you know? Daniel Radcliffe went through nearly 70 wands and 160 pairs of glasses during the making of the Harry Potter films.
He also liked to use the wands like drum sticks

This doesn't quite fit here, because at least the angels and demons haven't forgotten about the human race. They continue what people can no longer continue. But I like this poem and the special mood it always evokes in me.
Interesting script.
Especially all these references to laboratories and various weapons paint a picture of angels and demons fighting with the help of incredible and terrifying high-tech weapons. Meanwhile, humanity is long gone. This angel is “only” 300 years old, even though she was born after humanity disappeared. But at least they remember the names of our cities.
There is something piercingly sad in such stories where events take place after humanity is gone. Not the kind of stories where there are some survivors, but where it is absolutely clear that people have been gone for a long time and will not be there again. There are no survivors and almost no memory of what happened. This is such a special sadness, somehow melancholic and quiet. We are no longer there, well, now there is nothing you can do. We were and we are no more. Such stories are rare because people are interested in people. We need some kind of survivors, some kind of struggle, otherwise the majority will not understand why story is needed and will not feel involved. The story is no longer about people.
But is it?
Almost all of the most fantastic stories are some kind of parable, metaphor, good message or warning. Parting words from the author. This is an attempt to look at us and our reality by disguising it as a story about fantastic creatures, about the distant future or distant past or other worlds. After all, in the end, people are interested in people. And almost all stories are doomed to this. Whatever the most fantastic creatures we come up with, be it angels, demons, gods, aliens, we create them all in the image and likeness of ourselves. You know, a crooked mirror reflecting ourselves.
These are just my random thoughts that have nothing to do with what the audio is about.
Listening to audios like this puts me in the mood to think about different things.
But if I put my extraneous thoughts aside, I liked this story. There is some special beauty in this. Just like in this angel. Something completely unearthly, but at the same time very real and true.

I really loved this audio. Thank you. I even loved it enough to write a backstory for myself as the demon listener. It's quite long, so I won't be disappointed if you don't read it, but decided to go into some detail in the form of a monologue. If you do decide to read it, I hope that you enjoy the detail and narrative.
"I may be a demon now, but I was a human once. I allowed myself to be transformed because I tended to a demon's wounds after they left to suffer a debilitating and torturous yet non-lethal injury at the hands of angels that enjoyed the suffering (although I didn't know that they were not human, not that it mattered much to me). I healed them, and they told me about the war. The demons wanted to exist separate from the angels, yet were permitted no second chances. Sure, the demons started it all, but were on the defensive for eons, even after offering a ceasefire. After the death of Lucifer, they gave up on power and sought only peace. The demons even tried to shield us humans from collateral damage after myself and a few thousand others across the world healed people on both sides waring sides. I was given many gifts, and saved many people on all three sides, but it didn't matter in the end. I never once took a life, always offering my enemies a chance to stop fighting, and look where it got me: failure after failure for more than a thousand years, until all humans were forever gone in the human year 3125 AD."
Reading the description is always such a treat. It shows how passionate you are about ASMR, the scripts, about everything you do.
Otherworldlywriter really made a banger of a script, and I hope they'll make more parts for this story. There's so much room for ✨d r a m a✨

Unfortunately I have not gotten to Good Omens yet. So I'd like to mention some other, similar examples.
An episode of the original Twilight Zone, soldiers on opposite sides in the wreckage after a battle. Thing is, it's Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery. Also, for reasons not revealed, Montgomery's character never speaks.
A bit silly, but the WB cartoon with the sheepdog and wolf clocking in to work.

The worldbuilding reminds me of the Faithful and the Fallen, for some reason. Obviously, the plot is very different, but the demons and angels fighting for reasons they don't even remember? Yeah, that slots right in.
