- When the zombie apocalypse happened, you gave up completely. It was the reasonable thing to do. You lived in a city, you had no survival skills or instincts whatsoever, and to be honest you really didn’t care.
Despite all odds, you survived. You had no idea how. Genuinely, you should have died thousands of times before. Yet you were still there, somehow managing to stay alive day after day.
You hadn’t been bitten. You wore leather and some chain mail you’d made for cosplays. You hadn’t run out of food. You barley ate anything but ramen to begin with so nothing much changed. You didn’t have any friends or family to begin with, so no traumatic backstory. You had no injuries, no problems with eyesight or hearing, and you had a bike so you could easily get away from the slow moving zombies.
You were chilling. If anything, you liked life after the apocalypse because you didn’t have to pay taxes.
Until they came for you.
They said they’d found a cure. Or, at least, the start of one.
See, the animals didn’t turn. Even when they were bit. Birds, dogs, cats… none of them turned. The plan was to mix human and animal DNA to make hybrids that were immune.
The plan was stupid. You knew it. They knew it. They were just so blinded by desperation and grief they couldn’t see you.
You saw it. You told them it was stupid.
They didn’t listen.
You had DNA that they needed. You didn’t understand all the science mumbo jumbo, and you don’t think they did either. But you were what they needed.
You weren’t a fighter, so they took you pretty easily.
They made a fighter out of you.
The pain they put you through was immeasurable. The fusion burned like a thousand hot irons for days on end. You didn’t sleep for weeks. They fed you adrenaline and vitamins through an IV to keep you awake so they could test you. They tied you to treadmills and made you run. They set zombies on you and let them rip your flesh off your bones.
In the end, it worked.
But in the end, you had enough.

there is a beautiful irony in the apathetic loner being the only one who could endure the procedure and be elevated to this state. Suppose it will remain to be seen if it is an angel of the new or old testament. Angelic they may be but sounds like they might not be a saint.

Heyyy my dear frienddddd. its been a long time but i finally got to listen to some more audios. This series is going to be really interesting, i already know that. I love the concept of the characters so far and the fact that the scientist who saved us wants revenge on the other mad scientists who killed all the other subjects. Can‘t wait to see where this journey will lead us to.
btw if i would have been in such a situation i would have fled from the scientists who told me they could create a cure against the virus. even if they told me that my DNA would have been the key for the success. i would tell them i don‘t care about humanity, This has been fun so far, just trying to survive day by day. once you get used to it its not all that bad.
anyways this audio was amazing and the scenario is just as good. The description is lengthy and detailed just as i love it. And i see that someone loves the last of us😂 i recommend you to watch a lets play from both parts or play them yourself. it is way better than the series in my opinion.
