We hope to try it soon, something new is always interesting!
with jet propulsion tech, efoils could take over! love the fact that mainstream manufacturers like Audi are getting into this space. Great vid Mike 👌
I mean at 12-16k USD sales price point, no safety required testing, very low material cost relative to a vehicle in the same price point. Name recognition will send them to top of any search
Nice to see more and more efoils doing jet propulsion
Lets see
It was great to have your here! Next time Portugal!
Cheers 🍻
The board definitely looks huge, especially from that lower to the ground perspective of the video. The larger size will serve well to benefit a larger variety of people.
It might be too much to ask, but I think it'd be nice to have surface area reported on the boards as well as the industry does with the wings. Especially now that we are beginning to see some small variety of board shapes.
The controller does indeed look nice in every way. Lots of features right from the get-go.
It's so annoying that there seems to be such animosity toward "new" things, especially personal electric transportation devices. We've seen conflicts of opinion and laws over the years in skateboards, scooters, EUC, onewheel, and now e-surfing too. electric assisted bikes are the only thing that get any slack because of the familiarity to the old. With change comes intrigue and resistance for better or for worse. Depends on rate/ range of adoption and which groups voices are loudest sometimes.
Exciting! I feel like i might be overweight to try this! hahaha
My adrenaline nerves are itching already!
Would love to test this for sure!
Go for it!
Nice!
This wins
i want one.
Please note that Takuma also has a jet e-foil
Yes we already tested
How do I get one of these
Order it
How can i access such boards in Africa?
Only europe this year
How much range on a charge ?
They claim up to two hours
Yes and i claim to look like Leonardo Decaprio. How far did you go on a charge ?
I was riding about half an hour and it left with plenty of charge. We can check with Andreas what riding time he is getting during lessons and rentals. I assume riding time is not a problem with such a big high aspect ratio wing.
Well hope its not the rest of the takuma they cant get on plane with below 50% battery
The shape is so wrong and the danger element is the foil not the propeller. They have to work a lot on this one to make it palable to foilers vs Audi -fanatics… Thanks for sharing anyways
The danger of a foil itself and wings is same in all efoils.. Audi plans to make smaller boards soon, it's just a start.
I thought the danger was from the open prop itself? I can understand the danger of the foil in a crowded area but is there also danger to the rider themselves?
I don't see any danger of the open prop to the rider himself, your legs are never near the prop when you ride it or start and when you fall the motor stops anyways... It's just a wrong perception to the public who does not know the sport that prop is dangerous..
The real danger to the rider is a sharp mast and sharp pointy edges of the wings. Those can really hurt you a lot when you fall, so always use a helmet and impact vest! Never fall in front of the board or on the foil itself. Let go when losing balance and jump away as far as possible.
first turbine on efoil is not audi lol
?
Hearing the word propellers makes me even more scared of these things.
He he it’s not that bad
