its incredible just watching him make knowingly stupid opening moves against 2000+ players knowing he's going to easily win anyway. Can't imagine what its like to be that good at this game.
Not to mention doing it while you’re drunk lol😂
Seriously man 😂
I've been to 2000 and back down again and it's not that good.
I was thinking the same thing when he opened with moving his knights to the outside of the board and learning that's a big no no haha.
doesn't he do it on purpose so his opponents can't rely on theory?

Don't move any piece twice before casting" is rather something that one can see as written in stone as a beginner and average club player...later on...there are so many openings and it's beautiful variations where you have to move the same piece twice...
@@goodvibez598 even as a beginner, the spanish opening sometimes you have to move the bishop a few times and that's ok! no rule in chess is 100% other than don't get checkmated lol
It's like a beginner tip lol. He's just saying it to disrespect his opponent as a joke
@@joeldenring yeah that's true....I don't know the spanish one that well. Let's put it that way....I wouldn't recommend a beginner any opening line where you have to move a piece twice.

I sometimes think non chess players don’t fully appreciate the magnitude of the variability of human intelligence.
Human skill*
@@byzantinegold it’s more than skill, top GM can simultaneously play multiple decent players while blind folded. Most people would be lost after 2 moves.
@@ian9toes Some people are more skilled than others. Not everything is 1:1 with intelligence, because if it was those people would be amazing at everything, not just something they were very passionate about and spent a long time learning. Don't get me wrong though he's clearly a genius, but there are plenty geniuses that aren't good at chess.
It’s the same with sports too so I feel like most people do know I’ve just started chess liken2 days ago and I can tell this caliber is just unreal. Same with video games I play rocket league and the skill difference of the top 1% and top .1% and are so different it’s not even funny
@@ian9toes In the spirit of fair argument, I will say this. Playing a blindfolded simul is literally is a skill. I realize it's a pedantic point, but just because a skill may be impossible for many people to obtain doesn't mean it's not a skill all the same. Circlejerking over who is the most "intelligent" is boring because intelligence is abstract and hard to understand clearly, whereas skill is much easier to view.
Of course, Magnus is obviously a Genius, and nearly all grandmasters are highly intelligent.
It’s interesting watching great players play. They make moves that are so obvious it makes you feel like you’re on that level too, and yet, you’re still a level 1000
True it seems really easy and smooth while watching them and when we try it everybody knows what happens
😂 feel ya
Very underrated comment. It looks simple looking them play but impossible to play like them when you’re playing.

Nah, not just his queen. That knight was the real humiliation. It's like:"Ok, I'm giving you one more chance to lose points rather than get checkmated right away."
Ah so I wasn't that stupid after all. I couldn't find any reason why he sacrificed that knight. For the humiliation. Makes sence
I'd like to thank Magnus for putting out these flex videos. Every time he does some 1400 sees it and tries it against me. Forgetting the important detail that they're not Magnus....

But Magnus still missed a Mate in 3 in this position I guess.
He did mate, what did he miss
@@lalilu4732 he didnt miss anything, threatening the queen with the knight was a clear blunder which is why he called it a dick move lol, pay attention
@@lalilu4732 What is the extent of intellectual capacity of a spectator within the chess community who displays such a lack of understanding?

Mate in 2 is hardly a sacrifice
Little did you know, the mate is only possible... if you... sacrifice.. so, by definition and basic logic, it is a queen sacrifice...

Losing to a World Champion as 2000 player isn't a humilation no matter how they win. Odd choice of title.
Bro... magnus was memorizing entire phone books when he was a small child... we cant compete with that.
Sacrifices the knight for absolutely no reason like he's Yoshi in Super Mario World. Devastating.

Hehe! Va fan. Jag vill åkså vara med och parta. Vi är ju för fan grannar🤠
4:45 I'm still new to chess so correct me if I'm wrong, but is it considered brilliant if Rxf2? because if Kxf2, I think it's mate in 1 if Qxg3?
Qxg3 is better because it comes with check and is forcing mate in 3. With Rxf2, the king doesnt need to Kxf2 and white has moves like g4 to delay defeat.
@@chuckdollarama ... although it only makes a minor difference because after g4 Qxe3 the end is coming very quick.
Does anyone know where to find the song from the beginning? It seems like a Turn on the lights again.. and La La La mashup
That’s not Magnus; that’s obviously Dr Drunkenstein !
MDMA and chess, what a combination...
???😂😂😂
That remix of Fred again and naughty boy is sick but it’s literally a dj edit and I can’t find it anywhere lol.
what was the reason to move knight C5 before queen sac?
1:50 Knight C3 looks like a solid move.
That's a terrible move for white and opens a trap. Magnus could then move his bishop to G5. It would be check and it could not be blocked because Magnus would take it there on e7. If king just moves to d7 instead of blocking then he still loses the option to castle while also being in a bad position.
@@markovvuk1718 That would be Nf6 not Nc3
At 0:47 bishop takes out own pawn and at 0:55 he moves his knight then replaced it with a pawn, as well as the white bishop disappearing. What is happening in those situation?
magnus knows where the other player is going to go so he simply makes his next move ahead of time. so when they do the move he anticipated it completes his move. like for example when his knight is replaced with his pawn, notice the other players bishop right there disappears
I’m with you. What the f is going on?
Lookup "premove"
What's the song at the beginning please?
Love to hear the fredagain tracks bumpin
What’s the name of that song
Every move will be a threat…😂
Then back his knight😂
After king g1, if magnus captured the f2 pawn it would've been mate it one if the king takes the rook or otherwise right?
What is the music playing from 02:45 longer? Anyone can recognise?
Magus playing a 2000 rated player was a complete insult to him. He took it personally and played the dumbest moves he could allow himself to play, while still murdering his opponent.
Yeah it's not like a 2000 can't become a decent game just give him another 20 + years lol
I like Magnus' boomer energy at the end there trying to figure out what buttons to push.
He's 32.
I wasn't referencing him being a boomer I was referencing him not understanding the tech as boomer energy. It was just a funny observation. All generations can have boomer style moments.@@TheJpf79

i recognise one of the songs being played as Fred Again... We've Lost Dancing. Very nice!
Magnus saying “two rooks on the 7th” when they were on the 2nd rank 😆
Magnus is the guy who moves first with black
Yeah but the rule is about attacking, and is based on the 7th rank from the attacker's perspective.

The question I have is how is their head-to-head to score is 1.0 - 0.5
How can one be 0.5 up in the score against another?
if they draw the score would be 0.5 each
@@kirubelteklebrhan9996 And? that’s obvious.

Trolling his opponent
There was no point, he gave the piece away because he didnt need it
What’s the song playing in the background?
Anyone know why or how he knew to move his Kb8 after Qa4? Even the engine says that’s the best move but I can’t really figure out why?
4:42 What was the purpose of black Nc5 ?
Cruel in-between move before the forced checkmate shown after that, if White tries to defend with something like Bg2 (which prevents the g3 capture being with check) then Black can simply take the queen. If the queen moves then we still have the forced sequence
humiliation
Just humiliation. Nothing more, give the guy one chance to lose his queen rather than get checkmated. And this kind of move always make people think what's the purpose. So mag basically saying:"think again."
Guy dancing in the background is me at my first party
It's like they are all on drugs

well, you see, magnus doesn't follow the laws of chess...
actually they are premoves
One thing I don’t understand- on move 14, why doesn’t Ilya check what Stockfish would have done and copy that?
Idk, thought both rooks on the g-file was more stylish .. rooks start the game on the same rank, but getting them aligned on the same file requires more
“not move the same piece twice” says the guy who literally moved his knight 3 times before castling
he's like Cobb in Inception
twice in a row is probably what he meant. But I guess you know better than Magnus Carlsen lol

Tbh The opponent must have given up when we saw that queen and rook stacked while being pinned by the bishop because he should have tried at least something ya know?
Magnus, Thor of chess.
More like Loki.
Only not funny at all.
Can someone please explain to me what happens at @3:05 with that pawn & bishop ?
The pawn capture was made by a conditional premove. Magnus moved his bishop then captured on the same square with his pawn. The opponent then captured the bishop with his knight. Then automatically the premove occurred.
@@ColinDaviesNZIs this one of those alternative versions of chess like the one Bobby Fischer invented? Does this premove stuff make it more fun?
What is that move where he seemed to downgrade to a pawn?
noooo the background dancers continue to ruin magnus' content
The title is misleading because he sacrificed the queen to mate him, am I wrong?
the title claims magnus sacraficed his queen, and magnus actually did, so its not misleading
@@doctorbnasty1859 Of course is misleading, it says he did it to humiliate her. No, he did it to win, a HUGE difference.

why did he sac the knight first before the queen sac??
The queen sac is not even the humiliating part, even a 1500 would see that coming, the humiliation there was when magnus didn't do it right away just to tease his opponent 😂
Why did he also sack the knight? Seems meaningless
