    Hi guys. I am a small contractor in Northern BC Canada. I do a lot of trim jobs and Reno's, painting, etc. A great booth is the Pop-up 10'x10' Gazebo they sell at Walmart. I use them on all my jobs, inside and out. Takes 2 minutes to setup. The height is adjustable to 3 settings. You just wrap the sides with poly and hang a LED work light inside . If you don't find you have enough light, hang a light in each corner as well or take the top off and put poly on instead. Even faster to take down.

      Bruh. The PLASTIC is disposable. I get that did said “this booth is disposable”. But he literally pulled all of the components out, in zippered bags, the very next shot after “throwing it away”. I think he just presumed no one would be so insane as to assume your throw the frame away.

    Hi, Please answer, What is better to paint trim HVLP or airless? Thank you.

    • @justaman1721
      @justaman1721 Před 4 lety

      @@AJ7- I'd agree, as long as you have a fine finish tip or a hea type of tip as you can turn down the power of your Airless. You'll usually get the product on the trim in one pass.
      If you have a mobile pressure pot with your turbine I'd say that would be good, you will need to do a couple of passes with that though. If you have both, try both & see what feels best.

  • @georginawyatt8212
    @georginawyatt8212 Před rokem

    That seems like alot of cost and over kill to paint some kitchen cupboards, depending on how much youve got to do you can get great finish with a low pile foam roller if you lay it off right and all you have to do is drop a few sheets and your good to go!

    • @brockgaudlip3742
      @brockgaudlip3742 Před rokem

      When you do this for a living it’s worth it. This particular one is only good in perfectly clean environments. I use a inflatable one so I don’t have to worry about dust and stuff blowing in. Has a separate room to suit up in before you enter the painting area. The cost of setups like this is very minimal. Hell your booth, sprayer, and hanging/drying system is paid for in one decent cabinet refinish. I spray all 2k products and average around 11-12k per kitchen with no grain fill they just get whatever the high build primer gives but if I have to go through and grain fill im around 15k. Inflatable booths are under $1500 you can get a good sprayer for around $1500 hell a Gx19 is 1k and is great. A painting rack and drying system with hangars and everything for a kitchen is around 2k so 5k you can be spraying in a spray booth with good products. Your material cost is usually under $1500 includes all consumables and the primers, top coat, and catalyst

    • @swissham6162
      @swissham6162 Před 2 lety

      It's not. even if it was, its a negative pressure system. Which means it's pulling all the air from outside the booth into onto your coat. I can't imagine this is a feasible option for higher end finishing.

May want to make this a lot bigger or offer different sizes what about the guy who wants to buy this for spraying more than just doors not much room to work in just some food for thought.

In some of your earlier videos you were really upfront about if something was sent no charge or if you were involved in development. This does not appear to have that level of transparency. Monetize your time, i am all for that but be upfront about it please. Shared knowledge is a blessing on those that seek it.
