    I'm trying to get into real estate photography and drone photos and video. Your breakdown of what you charge is immensely helpful.
    I was planning on charging around 750.00 for photos and video of exterior and interior, with one edited video with their branding. I'd additionally create 2-3 ads for the social media of their choice with their branding.

      Hey there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and feedback! I’m happy to hear my pricing was helpful - sounds like you have a great business plan lined up
      I have found when offering packages the brokers usually like to go for it!

      Would I be crazy to set up maybe a 1-2 month relationship with a real estate agent to work for free or nearly free so I can learn the local market?
      I would require them to provide feedback and allow me more creative freedom. This would allow me to do AB testing for photos, video, and ads. The hope is the relationship would run into a way for both of us to test new ideas and support each other through collaboration on homes.

    I have one question? How do you find customers to start your Aerial photography business?

    • @The-Drone-Guy
      @The-Drone-Guy  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey! That is a fantastic question- I focused on real estate so my mission was to connect with the top brokers in the area. They are the ones who are most likely to bring you business and value drone photos/video. Real estate offices are always looking for new resources so I’d start walking into local brokers offices and introduce yourself. Bring some materials to drop off and even potentially prepare a presentation to the office. Hope this helps!

    • @The-Drone-Guy
      @The-Drone-Guy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey there! So my business is more than just drones but I’ll share what my pricing is for drone work. In most cases it’s $100 for 10-15 images and another $100 for a 1-2 minute video. I do also charge for travel over an hour and charge $25-$50 to add boundary markers to images.
      If you do 3 drone shoots a day for even 300 days of the year you can easily make $75,000 a year after taxes. It can take some time to drum up that kind of business but eventually you will be everyone’s go to.
      I suggest linking up with some experienced real estate photogs that offer everything “but” drone work in your area. When they need someone they’ll sub you in for just those images. Build a portfolio and then you can go an approach other business that may need drone work. Also, joining the local chamber of commerce as a service business is great because you can send email blasts out to all the other members who are all small business. Hope this helps for now!

      Hi there! Great question. There are a few services out there but I have used Dropbox for my entire 7 years in business. Very easy to use. Basically it’s a cloud file storage system that allows you to share images via a private link. They can view, download one or all images. And the best part is it’s an extra backup for your business as well 👍

    • @SkyView-gn4pm

    Hey again you dont need your business license to do this right, just your drone license and get insurance on the drone is good enough right by law?

    • @The-Drone-Guy
      @The-Drone-Guy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      May depend on state but for the most part no business LLc is required as long as you’re part 107 certified and insured 👍

    • @The-Drone-Guy
      @The-Drone-Guy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey! Thanks so much for watching. I do think the mini 2 se is a close second to the mini 3 for real estate purposes. It lacks battery power and vertical shooting but the quality is more than enough for the multiple listing service which most realtors use to promote their listings.

    • @mitchellriddell8092
      @mitchellriddell8092 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @The-Drone-Guy appreciate the response, id say I agree based on the research I've done ( when it comes to video quality) figured I'd ask the opinion of someone with significantly more experience than myself. Purely out of curiosity. Currently I only fly as a hobby, the mini 2 se is the only one in my arsenal at the moment but I'm going to get the mini 4 pro next. A bit pricier but seems to be well worth the cost. I work in a large scale production hardwood sawmill and was able to convince my boss to let me fly it around during production to get some pretty awesome footage ( sawmilling/woodworking is another huge hobby of mine) so the two go hand and hand and it gives me the opportunity to practice my video editing 😅. I'm a bit of a tech nerd and stumbling across your channel has further convinced me to pursue flying drones/ acquire more than what i already currently do based on the tips/tricks/ and knowledge you share. Much appreciated man, from a fellow neighbor in new hampshire. Keep up the content. I definitely enjoy it.

    • @The-Drone-Guy
      @The-Drone-Guy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@mitchellriddell8092 that’s super exciting you will get to combine both, you’re going to love the mini 4 pro after working with the mini 2 se. Vertical shooting takes a little while to get used to when you try that but also handy to have. Also the obstacle avoidance and advanced maneuvers will feel like an upgrade as well allowing for more autonomy when capturing yourself or those in the shop.
      Also I’m always stoked to hear I have locals tuning into my channel. I think this area is one of the best places to own a drone no matter your skill level. Definitely keep me posted on if you share any of your footage! And again thanks for watching and sharing this feedback. Really means a lot
