Don't forget the t-34-1 also has the 4th highest camo of all mediums, I reach 42% without trying. You could actually drop a scout build on it and outspot same tier lights.
Heavy tank gun and a great turret on a light tank body. That tank is borderline OP.

@@riffbw yes, it is a great tank, but not OP. Heavy tanks have better guns. The biggest drawback of the T-34-1 is its terrible gun handling. You have to aim quite long and can't snapshot.

First two battles summize my experience at tier 6. You can play good, especially in sweet spot tanks like AT8. And then you meet tier 8 with their much-much better counterparts. Bourrasques, who can outspot you even in light tank, ShPTK, who will outshot you, or BZ-176 with its insane premium HEm that makes tier 10 tanks crumble.

it's been years, but the T-34-1 is possibly my favourite med. I had tons of fun on it. Its turret armour combined with really low profile means that if you ever get close to a slow heavy, they can do nothing to you and you can bully even tier IX tanks.

The 59-16 had six round magazine and six point something seconds reload, if I remember correctly. It was WILD!
I wish they brought it back at least as a premium.

The funny thing about BZ-176 is that even the low premium ammo penetration 225mm but somehow I don't feel trouble even in tier X battle. Just pick fight where you can shoot enemy. Don't need follow typical HT tactics.

The type 58 also got buffed recently if I remember. I actually got my first Radley Walter’s medal and I think it’s still my XP record?
I remember the 59-16 having horrendous penetration with 90 pen with its standard rounds, I couldn’t pen some of the tanks even with their sides full open to me haha...
Doesn't matter tho, I like to use it to hunt arties
Even though it’s not doing as well as the Tier 9, I really enjoy the Tier 10 Chinese TD due to it super-structure armour being able to bounce most normal rounds first at Tier 10.

I like to play light tanks anyway, but the chinese lights are definately not bad. I can not afford to put two sets of equipment on most of my tanks, but that one is one of the few tanks that I use two sets of equipment on. One set for city, one set for open maps.

I actually like the Type 58, or did back in the day at least. It was the first tank I ever got a second MoE on. Unfortunately considering that its biggest weakness is its absolutely pathetic standard pen, I can't even imagine how painful it is to play nowadays with dozens of tier 8 premiums running around with their 500+ alpha and armor that can't be penned even with gold rounds
Recently it got buffed. It now has same pen as T-34-85 although its premium ammo doesn't change.
I disaggree with you type58 very good tank and i have so much fun with it :)
Hey Quicky, Could you do a master class on the LT-432? You always mention that it is a dangerous tank and I'm wondering how you would set it up and play it?
BZ-176 is my new favorite but my most kills ever is in the 59-16 with 8 kills. I absolutely love that little terror. I sold the tier X TD and only play the tier 9 because I don’t get as much gold spammed at me so I have some monster games in my Tier 9 TD.
That td game ended up being very entertaining to watch

Remember the times where the team with most Type 59s on it used to win? It´s Bourrasques today. And BZ176s. And if it´s not those, it´s Spaghetto 46s. I´ve had games the last days with (lo and behold) 5! actual techtreetanks. On both teams combined, of course! WoT, so free to pay, sorry, play. Big fun, much wow!

The biggest problem i have with WoT is the power creep. The Amx m4 54 might be good now but by the time you actually grind to it, the tank might not be as good as the competition. Like my T110E4 😢
E4 was great like 7 years ago lol
Plus nowadays you need like 15 to 25 days to fully grind out 1 tech tree line completely

i'm absolute f2p player
if you are veteran in this game, you will probably have bunch of boosters
you will get a lot of well deserved tokens
you will be in some clan
and you will basically start at tier 6 tank because all tanks to tier 5 tanks are blueprinted by now
-using boosters for combat exp, 1 token for 2 premium days, using holiday ops bonuses, using clan boosters, and if you go for tanks that are top of the tree, use free exp, turn on nolife mode, and you will grind whole tech tree by like 300 battles (maximum) which is ~ 10 days if you tryhard 30 battles everyday
realistically speaking, you would probably need like 20 days
look at my grind when italian medium line was top of the tree:
T5 - 18 battles
T6 - 23 battles
T7 - 47 battles
T8 - 59 battles
T9 - 104 battles
I've never been so hyped and invested in a WOT match as I was in the last game lmao so fun.
T-34-1 is one of my all time favorite and best tanks. Chinese mediums have heavy tank guns on light medium bodies They are the ultimate glass cannons in the game. When WOT decided to rebalance things and gave them all better gun depression, they made this one almost broken. I love that tank so much, my first T8 premium was the T-34-3 as a crew trainer back when it had -3 GD and was honestly terrible.
And then there are the light tanks which are honestly my favorite in the game. They are quick enough and have ridiculously good guns to be competitive at bottom tier.
I can't say enough good about these two Chinese lines. The heavies don't feel special to me. They don't have the ridiculous Chinese over-the-top guns and it leaves a the game play feeling stale. Their TDs are punchy and quick from what I remember, but I don't play TDs much.
I miss the old 85mm option on the wz132.
T-34-1 is such a great tank when top tier. Brilliant for face hugging with its strong turret and low profile.
At 42:16, Quickybaby said that he felt like the Chinese Tanks were “clones of other nations” which is highly true as historically the Chinese “borrowed” (a lighter term for stole) other nations’ tank designs into their own hehe.
Did the Bourrasque put his game up. It would be good to see.

I would really like to see more games like the second game you showcased here, where you don’t have a massive crew you don’t have all the bond equipment you don’t have the improved equipment you’re playing as a player who is just starting out in the tank as the basic set ups it was very fun to see…

59-16 used to have 6 round autoloader
Some of the Chinese tanks I really enjoy in the game are the Type 58 and T-34-1. I also really like the WZ-111 1-4. I don't have the 5A yet, but man the 111 1-4 is a brutal tank. Decent speed, decent armor, low profile, gun hits like a truck. It's just a good tank. You can play it really aggressively and just bully people.
WG should make the chinese lights like the meds, Lots of turret armor, big guns and high alpha, honestly the WZ-132-1 should have 440 alpha imo.

Actually Type 58 is actually good at tier 6 except the premium pen.. and the gun depression.. aims fast, has over 2000 DPM and also can reach 445m viewrange with standard equipment and is decent enough at mobility..
that matchup in 111G-FT with nearly full team of premium tanks... What a disaster
Hard to believe WG made a whole tech tree instead of making "the rocket system" some kinda equipment slot, maybe just for heavy tanks, but the point is, China wasnt the only nation using experimental engine boosting of any kind, limiting this awesome mechanic is kinda cutting short of the different ways people could play different heavy tanks. oh well :(

The new Chinese heavy T10 is insanely broken when not exposing its hull it will farm your hit points with the 650 alpha with a very hard to pen turret

The WZ-111G is such a troll td...It's much better than the tier X because the gun mantlet is GIGANTIC and it bounces shots like crazy. The HE of 1100 is 1shot vs Skorpion G and SU-130PM but occasionally also 1shot Bourrasques. The AP of 290 is decent and the HEAT is 'only' 395 pen. Yeap, it hits hard.
Love the T-34-1. Only better tank in this class is the Type 59. Basically gets the "same" MM with better everything. Never bought the tier 8 after the T-34-1, just enjoy it too much

Even tho this comment is year late but I should say that Type58 Chinese Tier6 medium tank is multitudes superior to T-34-1 Chinese Tier7 medium tank. The gun on Tier7 is absolutely horrendous when it comes to handling.
the 59.16 had a 5 shot auto loader with awful pen (can't remember the pen, but it wasn't good)
It has 5 shot with super short reload, yes. The pen was like around 100-ish even with gold pen, with small ammo capacity.
I remember the playstyle was for you to scan the map and tank list and if you met city maps you need to decide early on for what tank you want to assassinate. You can't pen tier 8 heavies unless you get their butt, so usually it's better to just search for their paper tanks and dump around 700 damage in a short few seconds.

Basically after returning from 2017 break, due to nostalgia, BZ 176 and new eve arcade mode with nerfed shells but buffed HE, made me quit this game again.
And another thing, open tomato and filter regular 8 lvl vehicles, i was amazed at the sad state they are.
t34-1 its a love hate relationship cus i have done real good in it and then next game boom ammorack done 1100hp gone in a flash

I don't understand why you would overangle and show your side in WZ-111G FT against the TNH. It wouldn't be too easy for him to snipe your lower plate at that moment.
Nice try with the WZ 1111111111 G FT. I think thats how some games go, your tank is ill suited for the matchup and you are making the most of a deteriorating situation. This is why WoT needs coms really. I think when it was 2 v all, you two stood a chance.
