      long shot drywall actually can get cracks just as much as plaster, sometimes even more. But yeah having plaster on the walls for 85 years will develop cracks.
      These days a good plasterer will use a good mix to minimise cracks occurring. And if it's plaster over a solid foundation ie bricks or concrete that helps too.
      Living in a region of high humidity will also make the chances of cracks appearing greater.

    You and the dulcet tones makes it hard to believe that you play anything loud! I might have find a reason to scoop these up!

    Just bought 2 Klipsch R120 SW. I have them about 1/4 turned up for balanced sound and they shake the windows and knock things off the wall. Never can have too much bass.

    I got the 10inch Minime, really enjoy it. One question does running DSP on gets warmer than off? Is no much difference just wanted to check on the 12inch. Also when I use iWooffer I lower the gain-7db and raise volume to 20, works great on -40db amp volume

    please help me. im lookinf for a powerful subwoofer for music that hits low and loud. i was looking at monolith by monoprice 10 inch and/or 12 inch subwoofer and they are ported. i was also looking at sunfires hrs 10 but its sealed. the sunfire has 1000 watts rms and the monolith has 500 but the monolith is ported and the subfire is not. which will be louder for music? thanks

      @HomeTheaterHobbyist  Před 2 lety +2

      I haven’t tried the sunfire but here are my thoughts…… The ported monolith will probably hit harder (play louder and deeper) but the sealed sunfire will probably play music with a little more finesse and detail. Again I haven’t heard the sunfire so I could be wrong. Hopefully this helps!

    My question would be whats better the woofer facing you or the passive radiator facing you

    I tested a single earthquake sub. They are NO JOKE. They are the kings of SPL and I own two PB-16's and some 18's. This sub single handedly created more SPL than both PB-16's and rattled my kitchen plates on a different floor. The Earthquake subs simply do not get the respect that deserve.

    Great as always! Two questions for you sir... First, is Hsu still king? Second, in your normal configuration are you running one or two of the Hsu subwoofers?

    • @HomeTheaterHobbyist
      @HomeTheaterHobbyist  Před 2 lety +1

      Still running the Hsu along with a pb1000 from SVS in the rear corner. Still love the Hsu but DSP is incredibly tempting. 🤣🤣

    Good morning from Scotland, how would you compare the mini me against the Svs sb16 which sounds the best and which goes the lowest thanks Oz

    • @HomeTheaterHobbyist
      @HomeTheaterHobbyist  Před měsícem

      Hi Scotland! 👋🏾👋🏾😁 I haven’t heard the the 16 in my room so I can’t comment on its sound quality or ease of use. I have heard it in a showroom and it’s truly impressive but I didn’t touch and of the controls so I can’t say how they had it setup. Per the published frequency response the SVS 16 will go to 16hz while the Mini Me 15” will go down to 18hz. If you are curious about SVS, I recommend checking out their return policy. In the US it is very generous (45 day in home trial) so if it’s similar in your area try it out and then make your decision.

    How do they compare to the p12? And also can you compare them to SVS SB2000 AND 3000?

    I'm certain the HSU VTF-2 sounds better and is more powerful by 400 watts 😁😌

    Telling us it's 74lb doesn't tell us how big it. It just tells us how heavy it is

    In your videos you talk too much try and cut down your talking let see hear the sound of the subwoofer you are reviewing and then we can judge by the sound
