What do I need to test with the new BR island?
Try making the season 3 chapter 3 island.
See if u can try to make ur own mustard Royal map!
Try to delete tilted and replace everything with the clock tower
make a giant pyramid

I think the point of having the sequencer in the setup zone of BR is just to trigger other triggers, and not to make damage or such. And having the launchpad serves the purpose of just dropping it into any device that uses items such as guns, healing items etc.. Like imagine a mechanic that gives players 1 launchpad every minute while they are on the island. Throwing them down in the setup zone won't be much of use.
Overall I think this addition isn't bad at all, just not what people expected to receive. This is essentially a full-on LTM editor, which in itself is amazing. And, let's be honest, we will probably never get a fully-editable BR map, because of how much memory it would take to store a bunch of them in Epic's datastores. Also I don't think Epic wants players to save old versions of the map.
6:23I was also hoping the blue cube and the bouncy cube liquid would be in the galleries when I read the creative mode patch notes earlier.
While it is unfortunate that we can't actually make stuff on the BR Island, I kind of understand their situation. Making stuff on the Island means saving the Island in it's current state, but one of the biggest things about BR is that nothing stays the same, POIs change, even the Island changes. So if you're able to keep a state of the Island the way it is right now, in a couple of years you basically now have yourself an Old map! Epic doesn't want people to be able to access any version of the Island other than the current one. Hence why the BR map in creative has to constantly change with the actual BR Map, which can mess with builds if new POIs override your own ones or something. And so on.
It's a bit of a mess, either Epic essentially breaks one of their biggest rules with BR (you can't go back to older seasons/ chapters) or leave it as it is.
Based on the leaks for Creative 2.0 I suspect people will be able to create 1 for 1 or at least very close to that recreations of old maps.
You can enable flying in the creative settings
Then start the game and fly above till you reach the barrier and then go back down

@@legorocketraccoon8297 Yes, I think people will likely be able to do that. Though whether or not Epic will allow them to publish them is an entirely different story.
There's also a difference between the players making the Old map available and Epic themselves making it available. If Epic does it, THEY would be responsible, which may or may not be a good thing for them since they've been so adamant about not doing it.
If players do it on the other hand, Epic wouldn't really have any real responsibility, they just gave the tools and the people used it to make it, not necessarily their problem (unless of course they ban any recreations of Old maps/ season).
I think that best case scenario, Creative 2.0 comes out and Epic lets us recreate any Old season, EXCEPT we can't have/ recreate Collab content, so Chapter 2 Season 4 would be completely off the table.
THX Epic for such an amazing update espically how the welome/start screen is so amazing fresh and new and also the br map in creative (this is it's first realease so expect some more changes throughtout although i am sad i can't edit the map or atleast import realeased/unrealeased props from it to other islands). Also thanks for Mustard Plays cor covering this!
The new mode is very underwhelming. However, there could be a whole new map that we can play on sometime in the future that never changes and it’s specifically for creative.

@@KevinIsNice6984 that's an excellent way for epic to compromise on their rule about not going to past maps and still allowing us to edit a battle royal map. maybe they can have both the current uneditable map as a more sophisticated battle lab and the unchanging asteria map which we can edit warp to our own desire

Remember: the BR island IS in beta so hopefully we will be able to edit the map or go back to older seasons after the full release

I love how creative constantly gets updates so cool
The customisation for the br map does feel limited, but with the control of loot and chest spawns you could probably make a survival mode where there’s few ammo, weapons, and building resources and it’s also night. Then you could have a fun mode where you have to be careful with your items and where you just want to stay alive.
I’m sad they didn’t let us mess with the main map my entire plan was to make my adventure map as a big br map but yea maybe they will make a version like that

6:03 you can repair these props, and it works. I thought this might have been an update (how many times have I accidentally hit something with my pickaxe out because I thought I had the phone out?) but it seems to be specific to these props.
And yeah, the BR island is in Creative… except it’s basically a publishable Battle Lab. Just as disappointing as it is Epic.

Mustard plays there actually is rotation! It might be only with the new channel system but you can send a signal to rotate the direction 90 degrees counter clockwise or clockwise! I actually saw this before this update

If i were to add something to creative it would be a welding tool. You can weld things together to make one prop which would be VERY useful (it would save unlike copying.

Hey mustard so here's something funny you could test. So me and cousin we're play the BR Map in creative and we discovered that you can spawn more than just one battle bus like you can have a battle bus for each player in that game also great video

This is amazing!
Well on switch if you get a Rift fish and use it on spawn island. It’ll be high enough to escape the barrier. You can do this on other platforms like console and PC but you’ll only be able to keep your phone on switch for some reason. Once your out of the barrier then you can fly to the BR island and copy/paste/delete stuff. So I’ve seen people copy the Zero Point 10 times, go under the map, and delete the Zero Point (no more lore lmao) sadly you can’t go super high to rift level (in the sky there r rifts) because it kicks you out of edit mode/flight mode. So keep that in mind.

If you start the game and then turn fly mode on you can go out of the border in the br island and then you can just build😊
The second, after they fixed it I played this and managed to break it. For I was able to edit and copy or delete, props around the actual map. Though once I die I get set back to the box you are suppose to be.

I think if they just gave us a unique island the size of the BR island that was entirely empty, it would be perfect. Just have the same settings and battle bus but let us customize the island itself.
yeah that isn't the br island but has many areas that are flat,and also a biome device that lets us put biomes,along with a roads device that lets us put roads of 4 types: road, rocky road,road without white lines and path.For the 3 road settings you can choose to have the device auto place sidewalks

Player reference devices aren’t just for displaying, they’re really useful for mechanics too
I can’t wait for some of the insane ideas people will have
Currently making a zero build BR game mode called ‘Fog Of War: Bounty’ im making it so that each player or bot that you kill gives you gold each time and whoever at the end of the game has the most gold (no matter if they’ve already died) will win as a result so it makes engagement more necessary for players to capture gold instead of leaving it down on the ground.
Implementations of the fog are wonderful and with each player sharing 1 class it feeds into the atmosphere of each player having to rely on their sound and tactical skills in order to win, rushing wouldn’t be smart, there are no animals as well and this is a more slow paced mode with the storm moving much slower and there will be no loot on the map at all. I’m looking to also give players campfires to regenerate health and recover and only two bandages.
This gives a bit more tactical realism into the game and provides players with much more thinking than the usual BR map and modes do, you have to play smart and be smart in order to win. Only thing I’m contemplating is if it should be single player or duos.

in the loot controller, add only og weapons for a unvaulted style game
there is a glitch that allows you to get the phone inside the br island.
Firstly, you need to enable fly. preferably at 5x speed
start the game, then jump out of the battle bus, then fly until your reach the barrier and it starts to lag. everyone should leave except you.
Lastly, you can just fly down and you have the phone. you can copy some stuff that we dont have like the sanctums chrome stuff, but luckily we cant save them to our hotbar (even tho idk why you would to it can get you banned)

@@vexnity460 it's an invisible barrier. Kinda like the old creative barrier when it didn't become solid. And when it lags that means the target bots are mass leaving. It depends on ur WiFi and how fast it goes
I wish there was a cutting tool to cut out areas from objects or that u can change the season and the chapter on the BR map

Well I’m there’s a lot of possibilities as in some of the settings I saw there was like storm damage you could do so much stuff with the storm well some stuff with the stores probably you can make it where all the different places of the storm will go so like the first one would be like somewhere in the east or alike just place it just trying to think of so many cool stuff anyways I’m gonna go test it out for myself now

Yoo something would be insane like its a parkour or what im thinking 1v1 map and using the cubes galleries and prefab only and then also put type of the small cubes everywhere even floating around and it would look sick
I’d really really like a blocking feature for the melee weapons.
It would be SO COOL if they found a way in creative where you could play on any version of the map with the ability to activate older events (i know this wont happen but its a great idea)
If you use an item granter, you can make prop hunt but on the battle royale island with the prop-o-matic
Because (its a guess) it's beta, it's says "beta release " so,maybe they are planning on adding more stuff to the br map
I hope that extra battle royal map people are talking about is for creative so we can actually edit it

One of the biggest bugs, is that current battle Royale loot, adds so many weird weapons, like we have primal weapons in the loot pool, I would love the ability to drop whatever guns/ items I want, and be able to customise the loot pool to exactly how I want

I would die for a custom loot spawner for regular creative accept its more customizable than the br one. It would allow for more custom battle royal maps and I know people would get really creative with it.

I honestly like the br thing cause now I could technically be a normal person on the island
There is a setting which you can have a battle bus for each team.
So that mean you can have 100 battle busses
