It's so nice to see Ryan Adams get some love. Love Is Hell, the album mentioned, is the album that made me realize I needed to become a musician. Bought a guitar and started writing a few months later. Saw his jam band The Cardinals over 30 times between 05 and 09. So many memories.
He comes across as an asshole a lot of the time, but he's always been super nice to me every time I've met him. Got to toke it up on the bus with them once! Ryans manager convinced Domino's to stay open an extra hour haha! His catalog is so dense, not even mentioning the 20+ unreleased full lengths in my collection.

12/25, I used to have an old copy Sticky Fingers with zipper and all but I gave it to my uncle who is a die hard fan of the Rolling Stones.
Ok here's the "controversial" statement: I don't have any KISS album and don't plan on getting any. Just not my thing.
I'll casually listen to it if it plays on somewhere, I mean I don't hate but that's it.
the only Alice Cooper I own is Killer and it's on 8-track and I'm good with that. Granted, if I were to find a copy of School's out or Million Dollar Baby in the bargain bin, I would grab them
Same with Bob Dylan, I have a couple, not the one listed, but will not go out of my way to get them
I think I should investigate more MC5 and the Stooges...
Led Zeppelin III is good, I have to copies, one old, one new but best of all is the reel to reel copy I own.
But yes, hard to pick from their other albums since a lot of them are very good.
Who's next? if you don't want to spend too much on a good sounding copy, try to find the Music on Vinyl version.
But still try to get an old copy just for the sleeve. The sleeve on MOV is horrendous. It's like they only had a thumbnail picture and they stretch to fit the cover...but at least the record sounds great. I also have an older pressing that sound pretty good so I'm set with that one too.
What's going on try to find the 50th anniversary edition, it sounds really good and the bonus tracks are nice to have.
Toys in the Attic, I didn't counted because I only own it on cassette

I would assume the 2016 reissue of TDSOTM would not be far behind the first UK pressing. He is a massive Pink Floyd fan and has paid thousands of US$ for very rare copies of Pink Floyd albums including test pressings.
He did produce a video about the many copies of TDSOTM he owned at some time ago.
Yesterday, he posted a 25+ minute video of the Black Sabbath first album and what he considers is the best sounding version. This was due to Rhino's recent reissue of the album. Have a look if you have the time as it is very interesting. Just put in search "The In Groove"

your copy of Are You Experienced is definitely an original as it's the tri-color label. I think the mono's are more valuable and hard to find

I did about the same as you. Some of them are albums I have been looking for a copy. I will never make 100% though, because I would never buy a copy of the GnR album. Never been a fan of them. They rank up there with Taylor Swift to me. LOL

I have TOMMY (1975) on CD 📀. (For that matter, I also have the DVD.) 📀 I love ROLLING STONES "Flashpoint" (1991)📀. A gentleman? Well, I have a vinyl LP of ROMEO AND JULIET (1968). I have the soundtrack for FLASH GORDON (1980) 📀. (Soundtrack and film) APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION (1989) on CD 📀. As a gentleman? I would add JOHNNY CASH "Live At Folsom" (1968) 📀. On a personal note, I would like to add the ST for SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977) 📀 and WAYNE's WORLD (1992)📀.

Personally, I currently own zero on the list. I have owned 6 at one point overall and I don't think all at the same time as I've sold all of them since! I bought them for my research into the UK album chart history rather than an enjoyable listen. Ziggy, White, GnR, Who, Dark Side and Doors. Dark Side by some distance the best, but I think I prefer The Wall 🙂

  • @railroadenthusiast
    @railroadenthusiast Před 2 měsíci

LOL!!!!!! I thought that maybe, just maybe I might have 1 or 2 records on their list. I don't. I guess I'm not a gentleman but, I only listen to and buy what I like. I'm a big fan of Deep Purple, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Genesis, Kansas, RUSH and Yes just to name a few. I love jazz but own 0 Miles Davis records. I have always thought he is overrated and the album they have listed wouldn't be that good without the other excellent musicians that recorded with him. So, beings I'm not a gentleman according to that publication, does that mean I'm a moron? Personally, I Don't Care. LOL.
P.S. This past weekend I started taste testing Crown Royal again. Here it is Monday and again I still don't remember what it taste like. I guess maybe I like it (maybe a little to much)?😂

NY Dolls. I like 2 songs. Personality Crisis and Stranded in the Jungle. Do you like Twisited Sister?? The better band than NY dolls. If you own Queen - A Day at the Races. You should have A Night at the Opera. G 'N' R - Appetite.. Got an OG pressing with original cover :)
