Interested in being on a future episode of Vinyl Dens? Please send your submission to channel33rpm@gmail.com. Make sure to include 6 to 8 clear, well-lit and in-focus photos of your space and gear, including long shots and close ups (horizontal photos are better than vertical). Also include a bit about yourself (name, age, where you live, how long you have been collecting), a bit about your gear, and information about your room (where in your home it is located, how you put it together, special considerations, cool features, etc). I will do my best to get as many rooms as possible on future episodes; however, please note I do get more submissions than I have time to show. All types of music rooms welcome. Thanks!

Videos shot live on location near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - Hudba
Thanks so much for the showcase Frank. Vinyl Dens is my absolute favorite series on your channel and it truly is an honor to make an episode. I don't care how big, small, organized, or disorganized a place might be....there is just something about seeing a person's musical world that is magic to me!!! \m/ Please keep them coming!!!!
Great basement Brandon - thanks for sending me the pics and info. I'm glad you enjoyed the segment, and (hopefully) many more to come!
dude, only 16 years collecting and that epic of a set up? well done! Also I spotted that EPMD pillow (my fav) also go ahead and sell me that Ice Cube Predator, thanks! ;) I see you have great taste in hip hop (for me the golden years were mid 80's to mid 90's) But I love every genre...ALMOST. LOL
Others may have more vinyl however Brandon has the most organized room on the planet. We have all been into record stores that don't look half as good!
Brandon's music room always looks immaculate and organized. I believe it's one of the best music rooms in the VC.
And he's a super nice guy.
I have followed mrhoffame for a few years and he has one of the most impressive collections. I’m glad to see he and his channel were featured in this episode.
Yeah he definitely has the most impressive music room on CZcams
Yes, used his videos as a kind of template to organize my own record collection. I made up like 75 categories for vinyl and like 70 for CD's. he probably uses more than that. Ian King's book Appepetite for Definition has more than 200 subgenres but just for rock music. Categories for CD's and vinyl have to be different in my opinion. Alphabetical blows ! lol
Thanks for featuring my basement!
No problem! Thanks for sending in the pics.
Frank
Brandon's basement is off the hook. It really looks like a record store. This is one of my favorite video themes. Super cool to see what other music lovers have done to set up a music room. Also gives me ideas on what I can do.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brandon's room is a record store! Wow!!! All the rooms look great 👍 Definitely something to aspire 2!!!!
That first room is incredible!!!!
Jason in Kansas has my favorite den in this episode. Great atmosphere for relaxing with a few cold ones and great music. Looks like a fun place to be!
Wow...unbeleivable!!! Exactly, I would be impressed IF it was a Record Store, too. I am so jealous!
Wow. Just wow!!
Thanks!
Moxy on the WOW wall! Probably the most underrated Hard Rock LP ever! RIP Tommy Bolin.
Great edition of vinyl dens. Love the variety. 👍
Man, all of those are incredible
Amazing music rooms and collections. Love these videos!
i enjoy these vinyl den videos keep em coming Frank
I love these tours, do keep them coming!
Wow very cool Frank thanks!
Thank you, Frank! I love these Vinyl Den videos!
Incredible. 🤩
Another really really Goode one..thank you..!!
Room 1, wow!! Very impressive!!
The creativity in the layout of these rooms and the passion for their hobby that is on display is fantastic to see and enjoy as an audience member during these room visits. These places are awesome. I grew up as a kid in the 60's and 70's when vinyl was it. Then came cassettes, then 8-tracks, and finally CD's as the decades moved along. I abandoned vinyl and went all in on CD back in the early 80's. Now, I am thinking about returning to vinyl as a supplement to our CD collection. I miss the album covers, the artwork, and the tactile feel of an album in hand. I remember holding onto the album cover while the record played and reading every word written, looking at the cover art and enjoying the included images and photos; that made up the entire listening experience. These room visits are inspiring. I truly admire their commitment to their music collecting. Thank you ALL for such a wonderful share!!!
Holy Smokes! I love them all. Goals 😎
Great Video as usual! Some excellent rooms to drool over! Thanks!
Fantastic space, well done mister
This Vinyl Dens series is the best idea ever. I love these episodes! I've watched Mrhofame for years myself and enjoyed all his previous room tours. That's a guy who seems to get maximum enjoyment from this hobby.
Thanks my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Wonderful music basement 👍🏽🤙🏽
Love your channel really like videos of others vinyl collections and set ups. Keep doing what you do 👍 Thanks.
I LOVE LANDRY DAY!
The idea of redoing old record carrying cases to make custom box sets is really awesome. It really has my gears turning now. That Technic table is cool. Tecmoan did a video on that one. Thinking about sending in a few photos of my place.
You should do it!
Great chapter by the way, it's a great chance for us to get ideas to improve our set ups. Thanks!
Love the Atari st111
Really like these Vinyl Den Videos! I’ve been watching Brandon’s CZcams Videos forever! He has a killer mult-genre collection!
some lovely rooms
Frank how do i send you pictures of my music room setup?
Enjoyed this episode and your style of presentation.
Glad you enjoyed it
Both Brandon and Rob are great dudes, with great listening areas. Awesome to highlight their spaces on this video Frank!
I love those music rooms. They are all impressive. Hours of work has obviously gone into each one. Oh yes I remember those linear tracking turntables- a friend of mine back in the day had one and yes you could skip tracks. Not seen one in years! Cheers Frank! 👍
Mrhalloffame what a killer room setup.
nothing makes me happier than seeing the melvins about!
Oh Frank, what else can I say those rooms are just undeniably so 👍 for me it's excited to see people so passionate about music and the setups of their rooms just great 👍😃
Great video!!!! Brandon’s room is incredible!!!!! Happy to call him a friend too.
Sweet dens 👍
I have 2 Cerwin Vega speakers from 1975 they were $900 got them for $450 because they were demos.I also purchased 4 more Cerwin Vega speakers 5 years ago.I have 2 systems set up with Rotel receivers,2 Marantz cd players and a Technics turntable and also 1 Rotel cassette player
All the rooms are fantastic. 👍☺️
I think so too!
You do such a great job on this series, Frank. Always interesting and fun to see how other people set up their listening space. I’ve probably said it before, but I really appreciate your channel and the fact that you stick to putting your videos out a couple times a week and don’t over saturate yourself, the way so many others do. Keep on spinning.
Thanks for showing my music room Frank. Love your channel.
Thanks!!! And thank you for sending me the pics of your excellent space!
I get giddy everytime I see that Tracy Chapman album especially when someone says they "only" paid $50 or something for it bc i found mine, a near mint copy, at a yard sale for $1 about 7 years ago 😊
I hear ya my friend. I think I paid around $7 for my Tracy Chapman lol. I always say I was really, really lucky that I got obsessed with collecting records about 13 years ago where I was buying like crazy and traveling all over the country hitting record stores so a vast majority of all my grails today where purchased back when I felt like I had to give serious, serious thought to paying $15 for record lol. Everything on that wall is valued at $50-$150 dollars, but I think I only paid more than $25 for 4 of them lol. Ahh...the good old days :)
@@mrhoffame right?! I just started collecting about 8 years ago but even that recently good stuff was so much cheaper. Hopefully we get back there some day soon.
Thanks for the tours Frank! It’s always a pleasure seeing how other record collectors showcase their vinyl, gear and more! 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree that the haters just need to ease up on the Crosley vitriol. There is a market for them. Not everyone can drop fat stacks of cash on something that they aren’t sure about, so that’s an entryway for some people and there’s no need for condescension because you feel that you are above such people. I’m just glad that the internet wasn’t around to judge my Fischer-Price suitcase record player that I started with as a kid. I couldn’t care less what anyone thought of it. It was my introduction to my own music (although it was hand me down 45’s to start) and I treasured it as much as anything that I have ever owned!
Absolutely - we all have to start somewhere. As we saw here, the all-in-one was a stepping stone.
Mrhoffame's room tours are epic. Looks more like a record store than a room!
Epic, yes!
Ive been following you and mrhoffame for a few years.
You've done it again Frank. When I wasnt expecting it, you pull out another awesome edition of vinyl dens. Wow , there are some beauties in there andf that first one from Brandon is amazing. Thanks for sharing and keep on spinnin !!
Thanks Graham. This segment is 100% dependent on the stuff people send me. It's an honour for me to showcase so many great spaces.
Frank
Like you, we have been subscribed to Brandon’s channel for some time. As far as we know, he has the best room by far! Love his mindset, taste and his organization. If he’s wanted to duplicate a record store, he’s nailed it!-Chris & Beth🎧
15:50 Some cool Sisters of Mercy singles on the wall there - Body Electric and can't quite make out the other one.
Cool
Great video again Frank!
Isn't it fun to see all the different set ups from all over the world? It's nice to see the modest systems and rooms like mine get mentioned too.
The gentleman from Switzerland who had the Technics TT made me proud. For I'm still using my 1985 Technics SLDL1 linear tracking turntable!! I love the automatic features of it. The only problem with these is the cartridge selection is slim because they use P mount system.
Keep on spinning Frank 👍
Hi Frank, thanks you for the virtual vinyl den visits. Yes, I am aware of Brandon... I follow his channel... his den is a record store. Thanks and have a great week..
I have the similar Technics SL-L92 linear tracker and it is indeed very cool. It’s like playing vinyl as a CD; the skip track feature works great.
great video
Thanks!
I love this show, what a great idea for a vinyl-centric video that isn’t just the normal vinyl review or music discussion. I haven’t seen any of the other VC CZcamsrs do this.
It really showcases the community and creates MORE of a sense of “community,” and it’s just plain cool to see everyone’s setups/rooms. Some of these inspire me to do certain things with my space. Great job!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have a playlist of past episodes of Vinyl Dens, if you are interested: czcams.com/play/PLhWc90qw1UvLnQDlDZUUzqSW3jM9vXbEW.html
God bless 🙌 🙏!!!
Killer video Frank!! Brandon has my favorite music room in the VC and he’s a great guy! One of my best friends in the VC, it was very cool seeing Rob’s room too, they’re all great rooms , awesome video 👍🤘🤘
Good to hear from you Aaron!
I have one of those sl-j2s! It's not working right now, but it was fun. One drawback is that it got confused by clear or colored vinyl.
Interesting. Thanks for the info.
I liked the first one. He really knows how to categorize his records, i can relate to that.
Absolutely!
Wow! Those are some sweet music rooms! I need to whip mine into shape so I can send you some pictures!
I live in in a townhouse in Ottawa Can. Never use the dinning area so figured, during the midst of the pandemic, turn it into a record store room vibe. Very small but one wall is albums A-Z. Another wall is all my signed albums ( and CD`s ) And the smallest wall is a concept wall. All Yes albums 1 month,, then all Steely Dan, then all 1972 albums, then all Marillion picture discs...... I enjoy changing up the A-Z wall and concept wall regularly.
Sounds awesome!
All rooms are great!
But I’ve noticed that last year quality was more important than quantity
The OCD is real in this video😂
Brandon works in a record shop and his house is a record shop. Lovely guy, with deep knowledge and sometimes personal touch, stories to share and he replies too which is appreciated. Never heard of the York, England guy maybe you could share a link please.
Glad to see u finally got Mr Hoffame I would agree too he has the best set up you should try to get Lazereath he got a cool set as well
I use a Marantz 6150 turntable, too. Heading up to Eastern Canada on Wed. for a week.
Have a good trip!
i have thorens td166m2 in my bedroom system ,a linn lp12 as my main and my lounge has sansui 4050c ,kef 104/2 speakers etc ,ive collected vinyl since 1974 and cds since 1985 ,i have to many lol ,still finding vinyl full on in thrift shops and the odd new vinyl in my local vinyl store ...
Brandon one of my BFF. The hall of fame himself
I too REALLY like Brandon's room/space. not to mention he's a Hell of a human being. we have spoken on several occasions and I have never met a nicer guy. just like you frank I'm subscribed to his channel as well and look forward to any and all videos you both post. another thing that wasn't mentioned was the care Brandon takes with his cds and cassettes as well. his cds are sleeved just like his vinyl. he takes really good care of his collection and it shows. that's all for now. still spinning way down here in North Carolina and thanks for sharing these awesome dens!
Brandon seems like a great guy.
I too have a Technics linear (SL-5). No auto track select, but still a fantastic machine indeed.
This Series Is Amazing & Inspirational #VINYLDENS
Brandon must have won the lotto !
Man, I’m jealous of several of those rooms. While I love my setup, I’m out of space. I have room for maybe 20 more records. Great video!
Hey Frank -
Great Video, as always.
VINYL DENS is my second favorite type of episode (Second only to the "Frank Landry Travelogue" videos). People love their music. I'm glad you've already looked at mine, because my recent accumulation of CDs has mine looking rather cluttered and disheveled at this point.
My wife and I both grew up in houses with basements back in the northeast US - Houses with basements in Metro Phoenix are as rare as hens' teeth, and I would KILL for my house with a full, finished basement. We used to have "Basement Parties" at her house, listening to The B52's, Ramones, and Talking Heads, but I digress.
I also started out with an all-in-one record player - on the floor in a corner of the dining room. We would listen to 78s with kiddie songs on them, with my little brother's favorite being "Frosty The Snowman" on Peter Pan Records - usually played at 5:30 on a summer morning. We graduated to a Curtis- Mathes console TV with a STEREO turntable in a drawer. I was about 1980 when I finally talked my Dad into buying a legitimate family stereo (Technics SA-404 Receiver and RS-M8 Cassette Deck, Pioneer PL-400 Turntable, and No-Name-Store-Brand floor-standing box speakers). When I went away to university, I was determined to bring a system, but space was an issue. Wound up with a Mitsubishi X-10 Interplay System (again with an all-in-one, but of considerably higher quality) and some Polk Audio Monitor 5s.
You know where I am now: Too much stuff, too little room.
Cheers!
Too much stuff, too little room... I can relate. I am running out of space as well.
Thanks for showing off my setup! Hard to compete against that sick basement though!
No problem. Thank you for sending the pics!
I wish I had the space to display my Bowie era box sets the way Brandon does. I'm also envious of wall space for posters and album cover displays.
He's done a great job with his basement, that's for sure.
I’ve got that Ice Cube and that Tracy Chapman. I like Lethal Injection a bit more but The Predator was pretty heavy…
Hi Frank!:-)
Cerwin Vega.....had some 10s in my trunk back in the day...they pushed
I have to assume I'll never get to that level of Brandon's music den, but I can assure you I'll get the best I can to make my place to enjoy music.
Greetings from Chile Frank and everyone!
Thanks Daniel.
OMG
16:32 - I sure hope he has curtains on that window. Not that long ago I was in a record store that left a bunch of records out in the sunlight for 2 days. And now they got thousands of albums with melted edges. And even though you may not see it when you check the album. I went back through the 20 I had set aside and spun them on my fingertip. 19 of them were shot. So, as a tip when it comes to buying used. Spin them on your fingertips to see if there is any issues with wraps or melting. All of the ones I saw had melts on the side exposed to the sun. Which makes me wonder. Does the store even know they got thousands of albums that are now garbage?
Good tip!
Hey man, Kyle here. So the flat I'm living in is rented but has blinds, which is what we use to keep the sunlight out 😃
Viva La Hoffame!🔥THNXFRNK!🔥 edit: I've been in quite a few record stores over the years that paled in comparison to Brandon's room.the other fella has a great set up as well, and nothing against him at all but I wouldn't put my records on that linear tracking turntable in a million years.the 3rd set up is lovely and I see it has Deliverance by C.O.C.! OH MAN..i need that one
Those custom box sets are a great idea. Might have to look into it! Anyone know if there are other videos of them?
Jason is cool he has The Melvins “Nude with Boots”:vinyl.
Brandon finally made it into one of you “vinyl dens” videos congrats Brandon
I'm glad he sent me his pics. I loved showcasing his space.
@@Channel33RPM I’ve watched Brandon’s rooms grow and grow over the years . I remember when he first started on CZcams years ago in the beginning he didn’t show his face and his collection was small and confined to a small room like an office but growing
Hi Frank. Not related to the video but I’m wearing your listen to metal on vinyl T-shirt at the Anthrax / Black Label Society concert tonight in Philadelphia. Everyone is stopping me to ask were I got the shirt. Sending them to your youtube channel. Hopefully you get some new subs and T-short sales. The shirt is a huge hit tonight 🤘🤘
That is amazing. Thank you \m/ \m/
Hope the show was good. Anthrax is one of my favs. They just seem to keep getting better and better.
Fran
First den owner likes everything except House and Techno and yet has Daft Punk on the wall, French House style turned into Pop House lol
I bought my first HiFi system from York in the early 90s. Wow, I knew European HiFi was expensive in America and Canada. £325.00 for Q Acoustics 3010's. They cost £99.00 in the UK. I bought the Q Acoustics 3050's which are Floor Standing and they cost £349.00 about four months ago.
Just seeing this somehow. 1st guy has the Teen Wolf soundtrack!!
Love all the systems. It’s my recommendation that you NOT stack any components on top of anything doing amplification (receivers, integrateds, or power amps). They produce heat which can damage other components or the amplifier itself.
I found one of those Technics TT's at a Goodwill, but it was all screwed up unfortunately. Im American, and say Tech-Nicks, btw.
Check out a CZcams video called " heavy metal basement". Guy back in 2001 shows off a massive Judas Priest collection, as well as other memorabilia. It's part of the Heavy Metal Parking Lot DVD, which I highly recommend for the 7 hours of extras.
7 hours of extras! Wow. I will check it out.
