    Great video, glad you found the problem, I’m having a similar issue with a 2017 Chevy express van 2.8l and it’s throwing code p2baa Nox exceedence low reagent consumption. nox sensors have been replaced, A lot of people are saying it could be a clogged DEF. Any help 🙏

      yea you need to check your injector if it's working good and also the Def pressure, the pumps on these trucks fail often too

    good video. You say where the no 2 sensor is located....at the exhaust pipe. Where is the no 1 sensor located? Thanks

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Před rokem

      the NOx sensor #1 is always at the back of the turbo exhaust portion it usually has like 8 wires and #1 is always closer to the engine, the #2 NOx sensor is always in the middle of the DPF filter but on some models can also vary on their location.

    Hello, so my 2015 duramax had the poor def warning, so I just had both NOx sensors replaced about 2000 miles ago, did a regen after that, everything was good until yesterday the poor def quality warning popped back up. I put in a jug of Blue def about 300 miles ago, so I doubt the fluid is bad or it would have sent the warning much sooner. I dont have a fancy tablet scan tool, what can I do to fix this so I can get to work?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Před měsícem +1

      i am sorry to tell you this but you need someone with a scan tool that is the only way to fix this issue.
      even some shops having the fancy tool need experience with this problem because it could be a temperature sensor or just a little detail and the only way to figure out is to go through all the steps specified by the dealer. that is why is a frustration to reset this light and is even worse when it gets to 5mph.

      most people do delete on these trucks but unfortunately if u life in state that requires emissions test you need to fix it and it is crucial if you have a high end scanner, on all the years I have worked on these trucks most common things are Def heater, Def pump, egr valve, egr bypass cooler and DPF injector and also Def filter.

    I am having trouble passing this test on my 2014 chevy. When I run the test it says it says "Reductant system adaption diagnostic" failed, right at the beginning of the test, The quality test continues but fails. I can't find information about what is involved in the adaption test. I am at 40 miles until 4mph, no codes. I have replaced both NOx sensors and the MAF sensor along with the def injector, pump is at 500, runs around 15%, tank is full. Any ideas?

Poor quality blablabla, they changed sensors, fluid, even the tank once, the problem is always coming back no matter what. I am about the search for a garage that can chip my car so i don't see any fluid related problems anymore. What do you think?

      honestly chevrolet did such a horrible design with these trucks and cars running on diesel. I haven't flashed a cruze before to cancel the Def but I have done it on trucks I think it could be possible but u have to think also if u are in California you will need all stock but if u on other state I would say go for it.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Před rokem +1

      sounds like u have a bad reductant pump that's the one in charge to pressurize the Def line to inject it to the DPF. if the pressure is Below 12psi the code will set. it needs a diagnosis to find the issue but what mostly fails on these tucks is the Def heater and the pump. injector is very rare to fail but that can happen too and set the same code.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Před rokem

      go to control module and select special functions and there you will see reductant data reset option. also a good trick is to go to the live data pids under aftertreatment data and it can give you a closer look on what the ecu is seeing and why is triggering the light these trucks have a common fail with the reductant heater and also clogged EGR cooler, there is many reasons why the light will come on and honestly these trucks are a nightmare when you do not have experience dealing with these problems. but i can help you out a bit.

    • @charleswatts9664

    If I have a code u0106 loss of communication with the glow plug module, could it affect the operation since I have limited to 4 mhp on the board, did they shut down the system with tuning or do I have to do some special function?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  Před rokem

      if you have lost communication with the glow plugs module it will automatically trigger the check engine but it is separate from the Def system. so you will have to adress that issue first because if u use a scanner to reset the Def system I am not sure but I think it will fail because there are strong fault codes stored.

      do you have the speed limited in the dashboard? first do a cold start in the morning and let it warm up that will test the reluctant heater first and if you get a code about that I will start first there I have changed so many reluctant heaters on many of these trucks the emissions system was designed so bad and any minor break will automatically limit your speed with a scanner is faster to diagnose it.
