Pretty solid looking car. I owned a 1952 Plymouth my brother gave me when I was 14 or 15. It went well in the snow. This one is a lot fancier than my old Plymouth. They were tough cars, and this one appears to have been well taken care of. Always liked this old body style.

My first car back in 1967 was a 52' Dodge Coronet. A two-door painted battle ship gray, the car was built like a tank. Three speed on the column, flat head six, with Fluid Drive. What fluid drive meant, was you could pull up to a stop sign on a hill, stop the car still in gear with the clutch out, and the engine wouldn't die, almost like driving with an automatic transmission.

Jeff, I love those "three-box" Mopars. The '49-'52 cars just look right. Would love to have one.

I really like that ole Dodge. Come to think of it, I've always liked that series of Chrysler's cars.

I wish I could remember your name but it's slipping me. Warm regards anyway.
As far as Gyro Matic goes, these Fluid Drive cars from Chrysler Corp. can get confusing and adding to that is a lot of misinformation on how to properly drive them. As far as I can tell the 1952 Dodge Gyro Matic is the same as Fluid Drive. What has me stumped is the clutch pedal isn't embossed with "Safety Clutch." That's a sure sign of Fluid Drive. My only reservation here is that Dodge did offer a three-speed manual transmission version of Fluid Drive. Same as a manual three-on-the-tree except you couldn't stall it, and you could leave it in any of the three forward gears if you wanted to. Like leaving it in second gear for city driving. I watched two videos for a refresher, and both of those Dodges are being operated the same as Chrysler Fluid Drive. But I would say for anyone interested in this car is to check if the clutch pedal is connected. The reason is that some of these car's transmissions were replaced with a regular automatic trans. But Country Classic's seems to be on top of things so if Gyro Matic is listed on the windshield than it probably is a Gyro Matic car.
Nice car, too bad the oil bath air cleaner is missing.

My mother once owned one of these. I think she paid about $150 for it in 1960. It lasted about three years until the timing chain broke. It was a nice car but definitely not fast with the 6 cylinder flathead and Gyro-Matic transmission. Dodge would certainly change its image by the end of the 1950s with its high powered big block 361 and 383 engines.

Air cleaner is way to small it needs to be bigger as a motor works like a air pump 👍🏻
