this is my favorite song of the entire album. its the most well balanced imo
2:50 "weakness overhelms us all, tranquil thoughts will overcome..." this is one of my favorite moments from a song, the way the verse is delivered, the atmosphere, the chord progression ugh, saying it's beautiful is not doing it enough justice

Completely 100% agree! I commented a similiar comment like this on a different song of their album on here. This is by far their best album. Absolute pure gold. The very best of heavy death metal. This is where the band really shines.
My favorite tracks of the album are Fracture, Citadel, Echo Chamber, Whistleblower, Pool Spray and Doublespeak.

Damn another dope fucking track on another dope new album. This new singer got this shit going in overdrive, to fuckin sweet. The whole change ended up being a major positive for Sumerian records and veil of maya.

Personally the majority of the riffs in this song remind of old ATB but the first time I listened to it the part at 2:22 is what really jumped out at me. The whole bouncy, harmonized major key breakdown thing is just super reminiscent of Rareform to me, especially when it goes into the half-time feel with the cymbals.
I get that too! Vocals obviously drastically different.. but the instrumental has that really heavy but happy sounding riff and drumming that ATB manages to capture.
If this is their 'periphery' album, this song is their Lune.
Chris Johnson "if"
This song, and none from this album, are even close to "Lune" in terms of what "Lune" is. "Lune" is an incredibly emotional track, and begs the crowd to sing along with it. A little violin doesn't make it "Lune."
@Aaron VanRoss -- Agreed. I'm really digging this new Veil of Maya album. However, nothing gets close to Lune. Of all the shows I've been to, of any band, hearing the entire crowd sing along to Lune was the best thing I've ever heard. So much emotion.
I personally think lune is a very overrated song
