- The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, conducted by Constantin Trinks perform the overture from Mozart's Don Giovanni - one of the most powerful openings in all opera. Stream the production now: stream.roh.org...
Don Giovanni is the ultimate seducer - but when he murders the father of one of his victims, he unleashes a power beyond his control. Kasper Holten’s inventive and visually stunning production explores the creative and sensual appeal of one of opera’s most elusive protagonists, and the powerful effect he has on all who meet him.
Don Giovanni is the second of Mozart’s landmark collaborations with librettist Lorenzo da Ponte (after The Marriage of Figaro and before Così fan tutte). Perfectly situated, as no other opera, between tragedy and comedy, this potent drama combines glorious music with a seductive central character who is endlessly fascinating in his complexity.

Fearless. Violins, brass and winds finally together. Difficult overture. Well done

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! Mr Trinks You're great. Bravo Maestro!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Interesting fact: Mozart was an infamous procrastinator. If he were alive today he would likely have been diagnosed with something like ADHD. People with ADHD tend to work extremely well - at an almost superhuman level - under extreme pressure but they also usually function very poorly in mundane day-to-day life. Mozart used to drive his associates insane with his complete and utter lack of consistency - it just seemed to be the way his brain worked. Case and point: This piece remains one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and, as it happens, Mozart also wrote it the night before the premiere.
I'm convinced Mozart had a form of autism.
I think Mozart was autistic.
One part of his brain was genius, while the other part underdeveloped❤🙏.
@@MADAMA-CAMEL.ASS-HAIRYS Whether it was autism or ADHD (or both) neither one means an underdeveloped brain whatsoever. I'm sure you didn't intend for it, but your comment is stigmatizing and offensive. In fact I could even argue that the average brain is underdeveloped when compared to the autistic brain. Mozart's genius, for example, is a direct result of his neurodivergent brain. Da Vinci and Einstein, too.
He also wrote every overture for his operas last. And half of it is just a ripoff of the dinner scene to make it quicker to get done
@@bad_mimeget off your high horse. Its an innocuous comment on the internet…go touch grass.
