Fantastic actress. I don't always like her films, but I've never seen a performance by her that is anything other than great.

I am sure the blinking is a nervous blinking... She probably has to fight it wile acting, but during the interview she does not cocentrate on that.

Shirley interviews so well. There should be much more of her on here - everywhere in fact.
She is a wonderful actress who has that special quality on screen, namely; captivating and compelling. It is difficult to take one's eyes off her.
I've just watched a four part mini-drama, entitled 'The House Across The Street' which took complete advantage or slow-paced, lingering, close-up shots, which were enthralling because of Shirley. Few people could have pulled that off in the way she did. She plays the darker role of a troubled, many faceted character. It's refreshing to see her in this interview. She's seems lovely, humble and, I'm pleased to say, a Scot.

I just had to hear her normal voice. Her Moaning Myrtle voice can at times be annoying yet it does convey a certain emotional expression of nerviness which I suppose is the actors goal.
Excessive blinking could be dry eyes due to contact lenses also!
When I see her, I always think of the Gilbert and Sullivan song, "The Sun Who's Rays Are All Ablaze" (or "The Moon and I")
she played in a U.K. police T.V.series on netflix, as well as Neville Longbottom. Its called Happy Valley, definitely a good watch. She does the moaning Myrtle voice in it

I blink a lot , as I am very sensitive to light or light change , can really be a pain to drive at night or if I am really tired or run down it effects me , I also heard that it is a common trait to redheads , which I am .....

Fun Fact: Shirley Henderson and JK Rowling are born the same year of 1965 and when Shirley played moaning myrtle in 2002, which the movie had started filming in late 2001 at that time, Shirley and JK were 36 years old in 2001 and 37 in 2002, and Shirley did NOT look 36 to 37 years old when she was filming Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. (Written on July 19, 2021)
She played a 14 year old in the Harry Potter movies. I was surprised Shirley was that old, I’ve heard about actors and actresses in their early and mid 20s playing teenagers but she’s the first person I’ve seen play a young teenager in her 30s
