Your rebuild series was amazing to watch. I learned and laughed a lot (we have virtually the same sense of humor). I fixed up a 97 GTX and 96 GSX, but never did an entire engine overhaul like you. Keep it up and let that 2 stroke keep turning heads at the lake!
You know if everyone actually took care of their jet skis these restorations wouldn’t be a thing. There’s no excuse for a jet ski to be that bad. I own a 95 xp just like that so it’s heart breaking to see one so far gone. Atleast it was saved though
@@Zzzzzz-ns7lg you can wash it all you like, you can guarantee there’s still salty water sitting somewhere in that motor and exhaust, it’s just inevitable.
it all turned out good tho lol i have yamaha and seadoo 2 stroke skis i can rebuild both you just need to know how to work on the rotary valve timing and the rest is cake
@@reed.k.hAINT THAT RIGHT!! AND.......since you did the work yourself you KNOW KNOW that its all right/correct, plus doing these kinda projects greatly increases the library of knowledge thats kept in ones brain that you pull from each and every time you go to do any work on anything!!
Great for you, now run along, if you would just overcome your fears by conquering them then you wouldnt be terrified to get out and live a little and have some fun, honestly cannot think of anything at all about a jetski that would make someone HATE them. Thats a pretty damn strong emotion

Saltwater is by far the worst thing any machine can endure, they have a very very harsh life

Lesson to be learned. Never put money into an older 2 stroke Rotax engine. Kawasaki and Yamaha's are where it's at!

About $2200 total. I doubt I could have found one for that price in as good condition as this one (once restored).

probably 1500-3000 honestly, starts to add up on jet skis. and with how bad this one was w the electronics it wasn’t too cheap i’m guessing

The oil tank filler neck was cracked and leaking oil

It is, but "Jet ski" is to PWCs like "hoover" is to vaccum cleaners for many people.
I followed this build when you were building it and the nonsense narration in the last video is still randomly in my head sometimes
