I really enjoyed your video. You put a lot of work into the camper and the filming/editing. I'm working on my 1971 Typ2 and sometimes I look for inspiration to get me through some of the more mundane jobs. It can be a lonely journey working on a bus for months, but nearly everyone gets joy out of seeing one drive by or being invited in for a drink.

Cool video, wish you actually provided better info about how you refurbished the ski such as what you used to clean and how you went about removing parts from the ski. This is more for entertainment than informative video.

Inspiring video. Gives me some inspiration on my vanagon build. I've been afraid to drill holes in it and "depreciating" it until now. But it's a van and meant to be used and the more creative the better. After seeing you do this its inspired me. Awesome and engaging video.

FYI, that huge hole you drilled at the bottom of the van / floor of the van, you might want to add a "water strainer" to fit the opening so small animals can's sneak into the van. i.e. mice. Just a suggestion.

Acme Nitrol work gloves at Ace Hardware. They're not thin like chemical gloves but they will protect you and they last. Best of all they fit extra small to extra large. You can still snap your fingers and I say that's a good glove. About nine bucks a pair. I've been wearing them for about 15 years. They last long enough to get funky and the only way to get the stink out I've tried everything is to turn them inside out and scrub them with baking soda. Rinse them well the soda can burn your skin. I'm actually shocked it lasted 26 years being a diesel that eats its own feces. Todays diesel don't even stand a chance of that.

Next time soak the intake in gasoline! The carbon deposits will melt away like magic. I have a tub of gas for just that with a one way check valve that let's the fumes out so it isn't as likely to explode if near a spark. But it's outside anyway

i added a relay to my ski and reversed that kill switch and installed a boat kill switch. i hated that rubber garment. xD My exhaust keeps failing tho breaking studs/backing out bolts. I bought a donor ski for $250
