This is a great "warm up" rollercoaster before you go on the faster and bigger ones. I'm so excited to ride this for the first time today! Hollywood Studios needs to add more rollercoasters. It's my 2nd favorite park besides Universal Studios.
I laughed out loud when the coaster backed up like those pull back toys do.

This is actually a really fun coaster. The drop after the first launch is actually a lot taller than what I thought it would be and the little hills give you a bit of airtime too.

Came back from Disney a few days ago. Toy Story land is cool, my kids loved it . The Slinky coaster is fun , it’s quicker than it looks but Disney isn’t 6 Flags , it’s Family themed so don’t expect extreme rides.
Wow! I thought this ride was gonna be like Goofy’s Barnstormer but, this ride is very diverse!

Even though it looks slow, we don't want the kids to feel the overwhelming G-force. Plus, I love the layout of the track since it gives Slinky a playful personally. Also, that theming. Even though it's not like California Screamin/ Incredicoaster, I think how the coaster functions and environment balance out the kid-friendly theme with the exhilarating thrill.

If they did put it like..... 100 mph, does that make this enjoyable for children? It may for thrill seekers but then again, there are other attractions and lands that may appeal to older audiences like the Guardian of the Galaxy construction at Epcot and the Star Wars land at Disneyland (if memories serve me).
I would give this a shot if I go to Disney World.
LitCamAct1 you can have a fast ride and it still have it fall under “family/kid” friendly (eg space mountain, Everest, big thunder) kids almost never respond well to positive Gs (rocknroller coaster, tower of terror) but love negative Gs (seven dwarves, test track) also a ride that hits anything above 60 mph is insane and most adults wouldn’t even consider riding such a monstrosity (unless if they’re thrill junkies) literally nobody is asking for a “100 mph” ride lol this ride looks like it barely hits 30.. which isn’t even a bad thing, but you can’t blame anyone criticizing the ride saying it looks really slow especially after seeing the concept art (which made it look like an actual thrill ride) being teased for years now. Disney hasn’t put out an amazing ride since maybe Everest, and now with Universal down the street stepping their game up w every new ride they put out, you would think they’d go all out and not play it safe yet again by adding yet another ride that puts most adults to sleep.
The second Launch looks underwhelming, but who cares when you have theming like that!

lanceflx63 it’s not meant to be anything ridiculous. I’m sure it’s more enjoyable when you’re actually on it and it’s probably faster as well. It’s also meant as a family ride not a roller coaster. I’m sure it’s fine just give it some time
My mom says it’s faster than she thought it would be. She tested this ride during a cast preview and she said its comparable to Everest or thunder mountain in terms of speed
No offense to your Mother, but that doesn't seem correct. Disney would not make a family coaster that was similar to big thunder or expedition everest.

Yeah! it really does! It was actually a lot more intense than I anticipated, especially the first half. The second launch and after wasn't bad, but the first part all happens so fast.
I went on this ride! It was okay, the best thing about it though was the beautiful colors and detail that went into it!

as much as this ride looks underwhelming for thrill riders hollywood studios doesn’t have many kid friendly rides rocking roller coaster is intense so i’m glad they added a more tame coaster to the park

All the adults on here whining that the ride is for kids......ya freakin' think? It's Toy Story FFS, not Tower of Terror Part 2. Get a grip. Go ride Rockin Rollercoaster or head over to AK and ride Everest. Go to Universal.

I recently rode this ride after a heck of a rain storm and all I can say is that this ride is a lot faster and bumpier than it looks. I’m not sure if the rain had something to do with it but boy was it a rough ride.
@1:50 you can see "backstage" and that should not happen, Disney should cover that up.

I've actully been to Hollywood studios but slinky dog was an hour and fifteen minutes so really slinky dog was a no go but we still wen't on slinky dog.

i know my opinion is in the minority but I really do wish they had made MGM/Hollywood studios a more adult themed park but this does look like an interesting ride they've added. ill give it a shot just to say ive rode it but you'll find me in the star-tours or rock n rollercoaster queue

David Coviello I appreciate the fact that a family area was needed in the park and the land is probably going to be well liked by many.
Just saying that given most of the rides here are more of a thrilling variety a more adult themed park would go down nicely as a way to get away from the more child like areas of magic kingdom
