Fooya yelling over the in-game voice chat was absolutely hilarious. just hearing a distant "CAPTAIN!!" and realizing what was happening was amazing 😂
For the first time in a while, Captain Shortbeard and Stumbles are on the high seas looking for treasure. This time around, Knovis and Butterball Bill (Tom Fawkes) are absent in favor of FooYa and Greg. Jeremy also references some of his old Achievement Hunter crewmates in Swaggy Beard (either Jack or Matt) and his original First Mate Peg-Pecker (Michael).
And one megalodon got quite a good serving of fish food shaped like former crewmate Willy Two-Legs, who had gotten a little too carried away with random wenches.

Randomly, the pirate talk reminded me that Satisfactory has English (Pirate) as a language option, which was fun for awhile
Minecraft also has an option to change the language to pirate talk as well... I believe it's only Java edition
If youre going to keep playing on High Seas, save your gold and buy a ship. Once you have a named ship you can sell all of your stuff to the one dude on the fancy purple tent dock, and they have harpoons so you can use to unload FAST. Also Port Merrick is an outpost, it used to be the Golden Sands Outpost but plot stuff happened and now it's kind of a city. All the selling points are still there though!
so, at around 1:50:00 Greg talks about it being Legal in Canada to have Mushrooms. He's right and wrong. In many of the provinces, it is legal to posess magic mushrooms. It is also legal to sell mushroom products, such as a salad with shittake mushrooms. It is, however, Illegal to sell Magic Mushrooms and if the police can prove you are selling Magic Mushrooms then your store is shut down and you're fined. That's why many of the storefronts close up then reopen slightly down the street. The police are also more focused on opioids and fentanyl than Shrooms.

The struggle to not be a backseat gamer is real - I've played so much of this and watching them struggle with some things is hilarious but I also want to explain everything so they can be the best they can be.
But I don't know if that would be okay or not just because I also respect the concept of letting folks learn on their own.
Either way I have a wealth of knowledge that would make your lives in this game tremendously easier if you ever want some tips.

Honestly I felt this, and chat giving them the wrong info about the wispy thing was really annoying, like chat kind of fucked them and took them on a bit of a detour ...they might've had a chance if they had a straight shot to reapers, dumped the chest and then just fucked off to do something else.

why didn’t anyone mention that the Reaper’s Chest turns you into a beacon. It informs everyone where you are and what you are carrying
pvp can be frustrating, but don’t pick up a reapers chest if you want to stay off the radar
kind of wonder what the comment section's opinion is on best way to stop the ship is it
a) just take down the sails to a stop (don't drop anchor)
b) drop anchor keep sails up
c) drop anchor, take down sails, raise anchor
I always tend to go with a) because I find that when someone tries to sneak up on you I can get the fuck out of dodge pretty quick, raising anchor takes fucking ages especially if you're one player watching the ship to make sure....

Tried repeatedly to get into this game but the sweaty tryhards made every attempt miserable. Is it worth playing with Safer Seas? Don't really want to lose another couple of hours if the game pushes you to play PvP

jeremy talking about pokemon cards reminded me that i have a box of cards ive kept (some in sleeves, some out) for the past like 20 or so years and basically never touched. no idea of any value or lack thereof, all i know is its the empoleon promo tin with the empoleon still in the top plastic bit to fit in the window.

During the fight around 1:03:00, you were fighting a brigantine not a sloop, so there's an extra person that wouldn't be there for a sloop as well as an extra cannon. However, yeah PVP in Sea of Thieves is crap and just full of either people legitimately cheating or super sweaty try hards that like to ruin other people's enjoyment in the game (probably streaming on Kick or Caffeine and calling you a loser because you don't have the same 10000 hours they have in the game and you suck because of it.)

Lol yeah the fuckers on the sloop that attacked you were 100 percent cheating in some manor, they had 3 people and you can only have 2 max on that. So they were either having some hitch a ride with them or literally cheating or hacking. Could be either honestly, I have encountered cheaters on the game A LOT, frankly fuck pvp in any game that isnt explicitly designed for it like battle royals or stuff like overwatch. It just doesn't fukn work and I honestly do no understand why developers think it does, there are so few "pvpve" games that are actually any good. Like maybe 5 legit.... its just not fukn fun bro, come on
People usually just rotate servers, so they have one player load in with a brig or another sloop and check the servers and then call their friends over in discord, so they just dump one ship and put three on one ship, it's not really cheating, I'm not even sure they're abusing the game dynamic at that point because rotating a server and hoping you land in the right one is a massive pain in the ass.
