One of my oldest, closest friends, for over 40 years just died last week and we buried him today. He was the biggest Pantera fan I've seen. More band paraphernalia than anyone could ever have. He seen them in concert over 20 times, I was there a few times too. He had a life size cutout of Dimebag Darrell in his house. He had all their autographs on so many items. I'm 16, I've been a Pantera fan for a bit over two years. My girlfriend's recently started singing along to some of the songs and it's definitely changed the way I listen to the band in an amazing way. Rip the greatest metal guitarist ever.
This was the first video I saw by Pantera I went out and bought the fucking album the next day.

I remember skipping school the day the album came out just to buy it. My experience was similar to yours, SuperCrudedude, but was with Cemetery Gates on the Cowboys from Hell album. They were geniuses at their craft... until they got strung out on heroine and slowed everything way down.

The more recent stuff is great, Cowboys is a bit dated, has more of an 80's feel to it, it's all opinion, still great songs. Vulgar was the best album IMO. I had to listen to Reinventing The Steel a few times to get into it, but that album is awesome.
