He said he would have to draw the same cartoon character like 1000 times just to get those little subtle movements so like one scene would take like a week to do like every single thing had to be drawled so many times. I remember learning to do stop motion in the 8th grade (around 2003) it was nuthin like this and I hated it. I do admire the work put into it and I've always lived watch stop motion films especially as they've gotten better, seeing new techniques does make me want to revisit it but I think I'd be better at sitting back and admiring it lol.
I always thought it was incredible you decided to animate the mouths with stop motion instead of just adding them in later like how Robot Chicken does it

I think your method here is spot on. It’s crazy how little mouth articulation there is in spoken dialogue. In CG animation this is the go-to. Corners of the mouth in and out and subtle lip animation. Nice work!

I remember absolute loving it because not only was it a good kids TV show they would also show the behind the scenes and I absolutely loved seeing that

Computers are tools for artists just like any other medium. Your use of both traditional and digital methods is so so cool and a really wonderful example of how to combine resources!! It also takes away the limitations one would have using exclusively one tool, though that can be part of the art sometimes. I love your work❤️❤️

Fun fact : while doing chicken run, animators at Aardman made every mouth (or beak idk 😅) position, and would then change it manually for each frame
