- Secret gold, San Gabriel river. I was invited to a secret dig and I couldn't say no. All thanks to my friend Chad. We had to move a few boulders for safety and ease of access and it was definitely worth the effort.
The amount of gold for the dirt I moved made it worth everything. The weather was awesome as well. I did however make one mistake. I didn't bring my sled and used a 5gallon bucket instead. I had no idea I'd be carrying it 50 to 60 feet. LMAO!
I hope everyone enjoys the show. I did keep location a secret. As a guest, I showed respect for privacy of the secret dig. I'm sure you all understand. So, until the next time. Heavy pans my friends. Take care.
I live at the bottom of this, they don't want anyone prospecting up in this area, took me six years to teach myself how to smelt gold, I smelt 11 and a half ounces. When they bulldozed my camp they buried my gold along with three day old kittens. I resided in a hand made treehouse carpet windows even had a moon roof . I resided there for 8 years total 5 years in they bulldozed but I went back for three more years . They finally bulldozed again and completely got rid of my camp, besides everything they buried. I've found many ores crystals so many minerals in these hills . I love this place it's my home.
Man your sluice definitely lit up!!
That was awesome showing the gold you were getting from just the rocks and tailings. Lot of people don't wash them. Awesome vid!
Thanks man. I was happy with that trip for sure. I cannot wait to get back out there.
I prospect up in N California and am impressed with you guys and the work you do. And you deserve every bit of gold in that area, that’s Hard Work👍
Thank you. Yes, it is hard work. It's just so much fun though. My next video will be my last here in California. I'm going to the east coast and will be filming from there. The eastern slate belt. Nc.
I thought panning in the east fork was prohibited? And I hear breathing air up there is against the law, lol.
looking good fam. keep at it. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
Some fantastic gold, great video, new permanent subscriber 🤠🇦🇺⛏️
Awesome video and one heck of a hole! Thanks for the video man. Nice gold! Got my sub man! 😎
Nice work, like how carefully you put material in sluice. Some guys just dump it in.
Killer video guys,,,Nice Hard Work…
Nice 🤘🏻
Thanks man. I was hoping you would have joined us. It would have been nice to prospect with you again.
Maybe next time. I hope we all get together.
Chad was the man with the rock. I was like you ain't going to get that right with that plastic thing. 🤷🏽♂️👍🏽🤣😂💪🏻
Always wash your rocks! Never know what's stuck to them. I've watched all your videos an matt's and that's the best I've seen yet!
The Best part was to see ya "Out There Diggin", and Gittin Dat Gooold, Brother!🎯🍀🦾⛏️🇺🇸😎‼️
Thank you. It's like a mini vacation every time I get to go.
😁
@@weekendprospector9787 I know that's True! Hope your Son's doing well ‼️⁉️
@@lesterleporesr5228 thanks for asking. He is doing great. A fine specimen of a man if I do say so.😁
Excellent mon ami bravo avec ce Suiss
Thank you
I m just wondering where you go to sell your gold?
I tried selling a little once and it was hard to find a buyer. I say just keep your gold.
The two places I knew of were in Pasadena both closed now .
Damn Bro 😎 I’m new at this haven’t found to much but didn’t get skunked lol I enjoy it take my dogs have beer 🍺 or two I want to get gold like that I bought the A52s is it good or I need something A little more lighter for A hike
I'd recommend a lighter sluice for hiking. I've killed myself carrying my big sluice miles. Just make sure the lighter sluice is worth using. It all depends on your desires or needs. It's a personal choice for sure.
Thanks for watching. Good luck out there. Heavy pans my friend.
Dude, I go to east fork too. I’m new at it.
There's some really good people up there. Reach out to the Facebook group east fork gold prospector.
I was trying to get out there yesterday but I went to the warrior claim in San Diego it's suck too because it was closed down the Cleveland National Forest I should have joined you at the East Fork
.45 great day congrats bro that was like a half day too
hi nice video, I was there last Saturday for 5 hours and only able to find 1 small tiny flake on the river, I'm new to this, do you have any tip for locations in east fork? that will help me out a lot, and also where can I buy the "machine" your using for "auto panning"?
Yo I feel ya bro.. been going there once a week on my days off for a good part of 2 years now. And have only found specs here and there. Recently got to talking to some regulars there and after getting some good tips from them I finally started looking in the right places and getting some good gold. . here's some good tips for you... the further in the canyon you go, the better the gold is. Don't forget to look for the inside bends of the river and always go right after a good rainstorm. It washes down from the mountain tops some fresh gold into the river for us to find.
@@Gonzb023 thank you so much, do you know where can you park the car? Like there is literally like no parking there, because everytime I go is packed at the east fork parking lot, and it seems like there’s only that one small parking lot

What's that thing that moves the rocks
i went to go there said it was gonna be 101. no bueno. was it hot out there. watching vids wanting to get out. soon have a good day boss
The weather was awesome. I was mostly in the shade as well.😛
@@weekendprospector9787 ok i'll get up early takes me about an hour to drive there thanks boss have a good day
All national forests are closed to the public. I don't think they are open until the 17th. Better check on that one.
@@weekendprospector9787 cause of fires. you can get a ticket for trespassing on federal ground

Its closed right now. I heard that they would open on the 17th which is this Friday.
I honestly dont know the truth. Sorry man. I wish I could be of more help.
Okay thanks man I'll have to hit it up next week then. Dang it.
Looks like fun and good exercise 👍 Question .. how come every time I’ve been to the East Fork hiking at various times over the last 30 years I always see the prospector guys wearing sidearms (mostly .357 revolvers) .. yet the serious backpackers and day hikers I’ve seen don’t wear sidearms .. is there some kind of territorial feud thing going on with you guys? Anyway I enjoyed watching you guys up close via your video .. thanks 👍
Chris that's funny. Also no where near the truth. There is nothing to gain from pretending or flat out lying.
How many times have you been there? Once or twice? So maybe you did at one time see someone with a side arm who was prospecting. If I had a side arm, I'd bring it on every trip.
@@weekendprospector9787 Your right, that’s why I’m not pretending or lying, I could write a big ol response, but instead I’d rather just talk to you in person, I’m the guy that asked about driving a car out to the GPAA Placer Pete claim, perhaps if your going out there again this winter I can meet you out there, park my car by yours, sit down with you and share a couple beers, and talk about the old East Fork days when guys were running 4 to 8” Keene dredges and carrying guns 🤠👍 I just re-joined the GPAA, and am going to re-join the PCSC too, it’s been way too long since I’ve been prospecting and nugget shooting. Cheers!
@@chrisstrobel3439 not sure about the other guys out there but you are correct about seeing people out there with sidearms I saw a pretty big bear out there once and it freaked me out a bit so I always take mine with me. And as far as any territorial issues go NONE WHATSOEVER. some of these old timers and prospectors that frequent the area (even the mean and scary looking ones) are some of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Shit some of them have even invited me to dig along side them in their holes.
GPS?
Hey man I don't know if you plan on going out soon but I'm just dropping a line to let you know I'll be up there Friday till Saturday the 8th and the 9th I'm going to head to Heaton Flats with a dry washer so if you see me that's me dude I figure I do a video since I don't see many dry washers out there well till next time good luck brother
Sounds good man. I've got too much going on myself to do any planning right now. If i can make it I'll try to contact you ahead of time.
Been hitting cattlemen bridge think that the name
Are you still working that hole today?if not give me the gps😊
That hole disappeared 2 floods ago. But down by Heaton is where there's good gold but the pay layer is deep.
I noticed you don't pan your camera up very much. would that be because your right there across from the junk yard? Oops I meant Terry's camp sight?? Lol if so than my wife said she's so sorry for the huge Carbiner attached to that Winch you have there. She couldn't help herself when she saw it and thought someone had just abandoned it there with the winch.
Like more of walk water fall
The river bed at the bottom, if you stop on a spill way or bridge, look at the river bed, its a giant slooth! Vulcan concreste company, their byproduct is gold and platinum. Lol government funded company eating away at the san gabriel mountains .. damn shame
