An optimistic, talented teen clings to a huge secret: She's homeless and living on a bus. When tragedy strikes, can she learn to accept a helping hand? - Zábava
A teen movie? that talks about the actual problems? that teens face in life ??
Yep thats kinda the generic trend with netflix movies now.
Is that not every teen movie
@@assholebyginger Not all teen movies deal with real issues. Some are pretty fluffy. Then again, not all teens lead such dramatic lives filled with this level of suffering.
So u didn’t watch all the bright places?
What u do matters to the pple u love the most
WHY ARE NETFLIX OBSESSED WITH TEEN MOVIES THAT HAVE A NURSING HOME SIDE PLOT
This actually happens in the book. I can vouch for it.
Haha. Cradle to grave marketing
tears insurance
You know Netflix has you addicted when you watch their trailers and still watch the movie, already knowing how it starts, evolves and ends.
Ahaha srsly who cuts these trailers?

FINALLY NETFLIX

Umm, there are plenty of amazing teen movies on Netflix. You just obviously choose to watch the crappy ones. 🙄
Wilfredo A Nunez Pacheco could u tell me some 😗
Cdfcd Yeah, i’ve watched it. It’s good i’m honestly out of movies to watch now tho ._.

SIDE NOTE: Netflix should make a comment section on its platform so that we can rate and comment our thoughts and theories.
I loved this movie! It’s the reality of what some teens actually go through. I also loved that they didn't make the whole movie about her love interest with ty just something subtle and light and sweet at the end. That was refreshing to see.
finally a good comment
Good concept, but there will be people that will find a way to mess it up
Just go on letterboxd
I need a part two to this movie
Hi, any recommendations more of like this? Could find one
omgg the mother is from ONE DAY AT A TIME
the guy is from MARVEL RUNAWAYS
ramona from therapy
the mother from K.C undercover
AND the voice of MOANA
And Ramona from therapy
YEAH because those are THE only actors who played in well known series/movies
I know her from jane the virgin
Yeah they are
The girl is from Moana
When marvel closes its doors. Netflix opens its Windows.

Netflix is dropping trailers like nobody's business...i feel like i can't keep up😂
Me too
glad to see a new teen netflix film that doesn't have the same actresses/actors like the rest of them
At first I thought Auli’i was Miranda Cosgrove lol
i thought i was the only one
They do look alike lmao. I thought too as well.
True, I also looked a bit like America Ferrera in her beginning
Me too
yo sameeeee lol i thought i was the only one
DON'T WATCH THIS,,,,you'll cry like a baby.... I"m still crying,, hits hard!!
ever since it started i couldn't stop crying... Especially if you can relate alot to it...
Yes lm crying like a baby
Same here. It's like the emotions were gradually accumulated and in just a snap you'll cry hard and you just can't stop. Well, I actually cried because of.. I dont wanna say it as it's gonna be a spoiler.
Man...hands down on the movie. Like this isn't your typical teen movie. It actually made me cry near the end. And I NEVER cry in movies. This hit so hard. So encouraging that there are blessings and good things behind your pain.
Holy cow, the cast, Auli'i, my One Day At a Time queens Justina Machado and Judy Reyes, Fred Armisen... a must watch.
I’m in tears from just the trailer.. I wish I had friends who would do anything for me like that 😭
This not your typical teen movie... This one is full of tears... 💐♥️
The mom! Penelope from one day at a time!! That's so great, also the lady from the group therapy in one day at a time!
"Youth is precious so you must enjoy it" - perfect one...
Just watched it. This movie really hits you in the face over and over. I kept crying. It got so sad.
I know right I bawled my eyes out and when I thought it was gonna stop, some emotional scene came up and again with the bawling lol
YES! AULI'I CRAVALHO IS EVERYTHING!!!! ❤️
How did you post this an hour ago when it came out 4 minutes ago
@@jidechinwaubani1026 It was already up on the EW site, it was just unlisted!
I still love he
Was not sure what this movie would deliver... but MAN did it deliver. Auli'i was absolutely incredible. I watched this with my son and my brother and we all cried. It was moving, emotional and cheesy in all the right ways.
I love her she is such an incredible singer!
This is honestly the best netflix movie I've seen.
That movie made me cry
*I've worked with her before and she's genuinely that sweet and nice in real life! and she sings o set, it's the cutest thing she's like a little bird!* :)
This is actually exactly how I feel.. lost, lost where I am crying inside, but nobody hears me..
Such a great cast....felt so natural. I need a sequel, please 😁🥰
So excited to finally see another adaptation of a Matthew Quick novel! It's been years since I read this one, but looking at the trailer, I feel it is quite faithful to the source material!
Has nobody in the comment section watched Jane The Virgin? Am I literally just the only one who noticed that Amber’s mom and Donna both played Rogelio’s lovers in that show! 😯
I SWEAR I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO POINT IT OUT!!
Yes exactly!
And they also played friends in One Day At a Time
And they also played friends in One Day At a Time
that's where ik her from !!
"Hope is a thing with feathers" that for me was the theme and highlight of this movie. I do not ever normally watch a movies, especially one from Netflix and come here to leave a comment but I just could not help it! Give this movie your time, trust me it is worth it. It reminded me that there is so much talent, love and gift within us that we can offer to this world to make it a better place. It highlighted that no man is an island, it displayed that there is a light at the end of every tunnel. I was reminded to keep hope alive, and I hope you do too. Don't give up on your dream, fight that illness, work on that assignment, fix that marriage, help that neighbor. Spread complete love and light and simply be who you are. May Blessings and Hope be upon you as you read this. Sending you complete love and light!
Definitely cried MUCH more than I thought I would. Good Movie
So excited to see a local 808 girl making her dreams come true. Every time she is back home she's so nice to everyone she meets and remains so humble. Can't wait to look back 20 years from now to see how her career has taken off. 💜
MOANA!
It was sad but I love it so many things go wrong and she still had a good spirit to keep going.
This was me but without the talent and opportunity and friends. A.k.a Homelesss lmao
💖
Carol Burnett, Judy Reyes and Fred Armisen - that's some pretty solid supporting actors.
I cried so much idk why it made me so sad
This movie made me cry so much. That’s like in real life, in a way that your friends became your family.!
this movie pulls out all the painful disasters in life ... i dealt with mum dying but the lil dog's tumour pulled too hard on my heart 💓 i woke up with optimism but now I'm pondering the tough parts of life's journey .. movie recommended for sure
Auli’i Carvalho is such a wonderful actress🌺 I live on the same island as she. She is from the island of Hawaii. We are so proud of her. I have watched this movie twice. And I cried both times 😢
Just as I was about to sleep, I saw this movie come up on Netflix it is now 2:08am and my goodness a movie hasn’t made me cried this much until now. I was really surprised to see a movie that was just so relatable, real and almost raw (oh if only the ending happened in real life... I mean, I haven’t experienced it or anything similar to the gesture but someone else probably has). Compared to what’s on tv/streaming services, this movie reflected reality for I’m sure a lot of other people.
I’m not usually one to make a comment on CZcams but after watching this movie, I felt compelled to. I just want to say, thank you to the creators, directors, writers, actors and actresses and essentially all those involved for making this masterpiece. Not to mention, ‘Feels Like Home’ was the cherry on top. Auli’i Cravahlo, you are amazing! It is on repeat and it gets me in the feels all the time. This movie was an absolute joy, but also a pain for it reminded me what I went through when I was younger. I didn’t have the best childhood but the experience and insight I have gained from it is indispensable. It has made me who I am today. I believe that things happen for a reason. Everything has a reason. We all have a reason a live. Some of us know for sure, others not. I have still yet to figure out my purpose in life but for now, I am going with the flow. See where life takes me I guess.
I have puffy eyes and dark circles and it’s best if I go to sleep now. To end this, I guess I want to tell you all to treat everyone you cross paths with love and kindness, because you never know what the other person is going through. They could be going through a tough time and by being hostile, you could be pushing them a little closer to the edge... So smile, ask them if they’re doing okay. It’s easy for them to say they’re fine when really they’re not fine at all so check for their behaviour, their body language. Be grateful... for who you have and what you have. No matter how much or how little, be grateful. Living just a mere 20 years on this earth, I am grateful that I have a roof over my head, food and clean water to drink, and a warm bed to sleep in.
Okay now I’m going to sleep.
Look out for each other, be kind to one another.
Good night. ❤️
This is the most beautiful movie that I have seen in a while.
I love this movie. Ive cried more than her (i didnt know it would be a sad movie) and I was watching with my mounth wide open in disbelief, 3 times during this movie. It has been a long time since a movie has left such a good impression on me. I highly recommend it.
Also I'm watching the trailer after having watched the movie and it basically sums up a huge part of the whole movie including good scenes (which is understandable but kind of spoilers for me though). So just go with your intuition when picking a movie and don't watch the trailer would be my advice.
this movie made me cry it was so good, I have a mother that is an alcoholic and battles with abuse, and I have felt 1st how bad that affects your life. I don't know what to say, except this is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I had to come here to let you know you should watch it :)
This looks so amazing. I love these actresses. It looks so strong.
Another great looking film! You go Netflix!
I'm already crying.
the art direction looks soooooo good
I just watched it tonight. Very inspiring and beautifully done.
THIS MOVIE IS EXCELLENT , SO HEART WARMING I RECOMMEND THIS FOR ALL AGES!
Watching this is like I’m the main character every moment of the movie I cry...
Incredible movie, no word of a lie. Honestly helped me a lot. I love it and WILL watch again
Netflix has only like 1% movies and shows in the entire world, ffs. Not even exaggerating.
Oddysea Cat Ha maybe for u as you seem to be a big anime lover, which Netflix is flooded with. But I meant in general
This movie was so amazing! It made me cry! 😢

this movie really messed me up but i loved it so much❤️❤️❤️
Dear stranger , hope your mother lives a 100 years ❤
Top Data thank you
This movie did touch my heart
This was really emotional.
Fault in our stars and love Simon producers ... this is going to be good and I’m going to cry
What with Netflix and old group homes? I’m really curious
They're probably teaching/educate the new generation alpha kids and younger gen Z about respecting elders (or "boomers" in millennial speak). We grow up in a self centred world where half our lives are focused on social media that we forget about selflessness, caring/respect for others and simply living in the moment. Also old people are actually pretty interesting to talk to, they were also young at one time too. 😄
@@chilliam00 If I could give you a 1000 likes I would, because you actually understand the bigger picture. I see other comments about why is Netflix, all of a sudden, showing "nursing homes" or "old people being cared for" and these people fail to realize that THIS is exactly why Netflix has to - because the newer generations are self-centered and streaming giants have to teach them what they fail to learn on their own... It also lends a more realistic feel - we all have elderly relatives/neighbors/community members to deal with at some point in our lives.
ah i love auli’i!!🥰
edit- wow there’s a lot of good actors in this
I’m in tears 😭
I first heard about this movie a few weeks ago when I saw the trailer and was intrigued by it! It looked like it had the potential to be something really good if done right. So I was really excited for it to come out today and thought it could be the right way to end the summer movie season. I watched the movie this morning and I got to say it surprised me. Even though I was looking forward to it I was still a little hesitant and tried not to keep my hopes too high. Cause it’s a Netflix movie after all, so it could be really good or flat out bad. It didn’t feel like a traditional Netflix movie though in this genre but instead something mature and surprisingly sweet. I really liked the messages this movie had and the character arc the lead goes through. You feel for her and ultimately want the best. The movie is actually really emotional, more than I thought it would be but it worked. The characters were great and likeable, the music was soulful and even beautiful at times, it had a little bit of humor that was effective and overall I felt as though this was a rare movie that unfortunately we don’t get enough of. All Together now succeeded at what it was aiming for and the outcome of it all was delightful, emotionally impacting and a great time!
I'm so proud that Pittsburgh is going to be featured in this!
Our very own...Hawaii is so very proud of you Auli'i Cravalho. In this day and age there's been such an immense lack of love, faith, hope and compassionate empathy. Mahalo nui for sharing and showcasing the genuine spirit of ALOHA with the world. Do not ever change and succumb to Hollywood's image of who they want you to be or become. And, most importantly do not ever let anyone take that ALOHA and MANA away from you. May God bless and keep you always...
We love you Auli'i 🌺
Aloha Nui from Waianae, Hawaii 🤙
Wow Netflix... You have so much content for us in your bucket🤩
Is it weird that i have a smile on my face just cuz i saw Fred in this! Like oh man! 😍😍😂😂

People that watch the trailer: Another netflix teen movie 🤪
People that watch the movie: Brb, rinsing my soul with tears🤧😭🥺
Right!? If you don’t watch it you won’t know what it’s about even with the trailer. How it’s described on Netflix can be misleading and people will think it’s another rom com lol but little do they
Such a sad but wonderful movie. ❤️ Can definitely recommend it.
When life fucks you up,, what you do?
You sing..

MOVIE REVIEW/SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT!! DON'T READ UNLESS YOU DARE:
The movie was refreshing but was so quick that I feel like it didn't get the chance to develop enough depth. It was quirky, a bit awkward, but can still be lovable over time. It was realistic and unrealistic at the same time, predictable and yet surprising, but didn't leave me with the awe I wanted to experience. I can say the star of the movie was her best friend with his wit and uniqueness and happened to be my favorite part of the film. I don't want to spoil it but I am a bit underwhelmed. I want to love it but I'm not sure if I do. All in all, it's endearing and I'd be comfortable letting adolescent children watch it which is a surprise being that it comes from Netflix!
One of my largest issues with the film is that Amber Appleton is seen as a perfect saint who does no wrong...leaving everyone wanting to serve her and ...Her stubbornness makes her slightly frustrating and I want to like her but I don't relate to her as a person. To be so proud that you'll throw your future away and put yourself in a comprising position in order to refuse help or being a charity case...it's quite exasperating and let me let down with her character.
When it comes to the blooming romance between Amber and Ty...I'm glad it was the center of the film...but I wanted more. More chemistry, more connection, and more of a background on their relationship. It left me feeling awkward seeing them on screen but hopeful that maybe by the end they'd be more believable as a couple. However, BY the end, I did feel the warmth of their love. Ty's character is very warm and homey and I love to see that you can find home in the people you love most.
The ending is so sweet and I appreciate the lesson that being kind really goes a long way. I'll take the lesson for the rest of my life. Be kind, love people, love Christ.
At the beginning I thought it was very corny, but at some point I actually related to her a lot and cried a lot because I saw my stubborness in her. Putting others always first. Some people do and it's sad because we can't miss great opportunities for not putting things in perspective
@@lyndamex Agreeeeeed! That happened to me too! And then I slowly understood her and finally got into the film a bit. But by the time it was nearly over.
