- Author Douglas Murray warns California Governor Gavin Newsom would be a “terrible choice” to replace Joe Biden for the upcoming presidential election.
“Any Republican running against them just has to point to California,” Mr Murray told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.
“Ron DeSantis, when he debated Newsom earlier in the year, pointed out all of the things that can be pointed out against Newsom's record.”

Why are Democrat leaders so bad at economics? They don't understand that when the government warps economic forces, it doesn't make the problem disappear. It just redirects the negative forces elsewhere and will be worse overall because the negative they are trying to remove was the most efficient path of the overall negative forces. Redirecting it just makes the overall economic picture worse. The best use of government to affect economics is to buffer sudden large shocks, and it has to be very temporary. For some reason, this line of thought is too complicated for Democrats.

@@Michael-rn6xj I never liked Harris, and she's not great, but she's 20 years younger, served as VP, and Biden could choose to pass the momentum and funding from his campaign to her; cash goes a long way. Democrats will accept her as a vetted liberal, independents like me will hold their nose to beat trump, and trump voters aren't budging regardless. Plus, she's a prosecutor, which turns off the far left, but is useful in particular against the criminal trump. The novelty of being elected the first woman of color can go along way with the left as well, while the right who cares about that aren't moving anyway.
