Brentwood is a city in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 37,060 as of the 2010 U.S. Census, and estimated at 42,783 in 2019. It is a suburb of Nashville, and included in the Nashville metropolitan area.
On April 15, 1969, Brentwood incorporated as a city. That same year the interstate was built through the area, ushering a new period of residential and commercial growth. It made commuting easier for people who worked in Nashville and wanted to live in newer housing. The Maryland Farms office complex was built a few years later on what was once an American Saddle Horse farm and race track. The Brentwood Derby was run there until the mid 1970s.
Development has continued as Nashville has expanded its economy. In August 2016, developers announced a $270 million project in the Cool Springs area. It was to include commercial, hotel and retail development.

They have no downtown it’s just strip malls. It’s more congested and worse traffic than Chicago area!
No main st or little in town area . The traffic is more congested than Chicago area. Healthcare is so aweful in this area. If u like California prices and rude people and rows of subdivisions and traffic look here or in Spring Hill or Franklin. Middle Tennessee is so bad and gross!
@@jackj5368 I live 2 hours outside Chicago he’s right. No main st or little in town area . The traffic is more congested than Chicago area. Healthcare is so aweful in this area. If u like California prices and rude people and rows of subdivisions and traffic look here or in Spring Hill or Franklin. Middle Tennessee is so bad and gross! I have property in Illinois and Charlotte Tennessee and Kentucky…… that Brentwood area sucks and same as Chicago area maybe worse.

@@hampshirecountryroads8144 Franklin Rd stores are better than any downtown in the area. Yes the traffic is heavy but there are traffic lights at all the shopping center which makes life easier.

Burns tn no town , pleasent view tn no town, Charlotte tn no town. How many Mexicans restaurants can you fit in one area? Ashland city is disgusting methville. Dickson tn is sickening and schools are so bad. Hendersonville tn no town or main st. Mcewen no town ….. vanleer tn was sickening no town just a Mexican restaurant.
