Do yourself a favor and go see this in the theatre. I went into it without knowing anything at all about it, and was absolutely floored. Its an awesome film.

Got given the wrong tickets at the cinema and ended up seeing this... It was awesome! A really really good film. I would really recommend seeing it!

Totally underrated - a moving father-son story - beautiful cinematography - a cult classic!
TAKE SHELTER and MUD are two excellent dramas. I just can't wait to see what the director is able to do with the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre now.

Shittest movie i have ever seen
Amen to the first comment, was just telling my bf that while watching him in Waco. He has great tastes, picks only fine scripts and interesting projects. I have a talent crush on him ever since I saw him in a film (can't remember the name) where his character is convinced the end of the world is coming and starts building a bunker. The premise sounds bland but he brought it to life.

The ambiance and music of this movie combined with the actors performances is just perfect!

Loved it when the kid asked his Dad what Kryptonite was........ well he was asking the right person....... wonder if this line was a nod to the whole Man of Steel/General Zod thing or just a coincidence?
Jeff Nichols is a genius who has worked with some of the best actors around - Shannon, Chastain, Paulson, Dunst etc. I can't wait to see this!

Why does this movie not feel like a movie?....
I think there should be a "Jeff Nichols Blu-Ray Collection" with this film and Loving included. Those two are clearly some of the best films I've seen all year! They are very memorable; the writing, the performance by the actors and the film style. My type of films.

They need to have a part two. Hopefully, the boy comes back to save the world with epic fighting and showing more gifts/powers. Also, another movie showing the boy entering that new world and unlocking powers beyond the expectations of his race "the world on top of ours", which made him the most powerful being of his species.

Yes, me too.. The architecture of the building from the other world is kinda like Tomorrowland as well but Looper is a perfect feeling to describe this movie.
I bag the shit out of 95% of the movie trailers I see. I look for any fault. I have to say- camerawork, editing, sound, choice of music, dialogue, sets. I can't fault this one, looks quite good

Yeah, I just saw that with watching the Netflix show "Stranger Things".
The SciFi/Horror/Adventure themes have been done before, but rarely with this sort of realistic dialogue, & you could tell that the actors appreciated the chance to talk it up & show their stuff. The nit-pickers will find an excuse to criticize this movie - they always do - but if you liked movies like : "Terminus", "The Host", "Morgan", Equals", etc....then you should enjoy this one. Loved it.
I really, really liked Take Shelter and Mud, so I'm pumped to pick this one up on Blu-ray. Jeff Nichols visuals are amazing. I don't know why he's not referenced more when cinematography and unique story telling comes up in debate.
Would be great if Alton comes back for his dad.

I did not understand therefore I will give cake recipe
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/4 cups 2% milk
10 tablespoons butter, cubed
1. In a large bowl, beat eggs on high speed for 5 minutes or until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to batter; beat at low speed until smooth.
2. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter just until butter is melted. Gradually add to batter; beat just until combined.
3. Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 12-16 servings.

The trailer looks really weird but very good. And this film is from Jeff Nichols who is one of the best writer/directors working today. Every one of his films has been a masterpiece so far, and tell me again why his film Take Shelter wasn't nominated? That film was awesome and people barely noticed it. This film will be great too

I just finished watching this movie an hour and a half ago at our local movie theater . Good movie though only four people watching including me ! The first time the boy has this laser beam or glow coming out from his eyes , I was surprised like what .
