Non veg fish dish----Kottayam style fish curry

    Ingredients:
    1 lb fish of your choice, cut into pieces
    1tsp mustard seeds
    1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
    10 cloves sliced garlic
    3tbs diced ginger
    4 pieces Malabar tamarind, soaked in 1 cup water
    1 medium sliced onions or 20 sliced red pearl onions
    paste made out of 3/4tsp turmeric powder, 11/2tsp coriander powder, and 4 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
    4 tbs olive or coconut oil
    4 stems curry leaf
    salt to taste
    Heat oil, add mustard and fenugreek seeds. Then add garlic, ginger, onions and one stem of curry leaf and sauté. Add the curry paste. Sauté to get the raw taste out of the paste then add the tamarind and its water. Add more water to cover the fish. Let the water come to a full boil, then add the fish, salt, and curry leaf. Cook til it's done, approx. 20mins.
    Once it's done, don't stir the fish, just swirl the fish in the pot to get it fully coated in the gravy.
