So true. It stops our ability to have conversations about anything! Especially the most important issues. The people who want power and control don't want us to be able to talk about peace or war, freedom or slavery, men or women so they emphasize the idea that all these words are the same thing. Just make up a meaning based on how you feel. Then, of course, all words are meaningless and we can't speak to each other clearly.

A period is defined as a hormonal fluctuation now. So you can gush the red sea through your female parts from your female parts, but that's no different than cramps. It's a symptom of a period, not the period (feelings) itself. I wish I was joking, but by next year, it's going to be a fact like "woman is a gender." I remember when the word female was the one used to describe gender and woman was the sex. It wasn't that long ago.
By the time these misogynists are done, women aren't going to have one aspect of our biology that isn't overwritten to cater to delusion. There's still no push to rewrite male bodily functions, though.

Once a person starts saying "I can't fully explain it" or "I don't entirely understand it," they've already lost me. If being non-binary is something that means so much to you, then being able to provide a simple scientific definition of what it means should be something you can do.

Hell, doesnt even need a scientific definition. If its so important, a logically coherent reasoning of how you went from woman -> nonbinary would suffice.
Same person says they dont understand cis or straight people, yet those are the simplest ones.
Cis: sex = their gender. And most dont go beyond that.
Straight: sexually attracted to opposite sex.

Women are much more susceptible to this, as one of the worst assumptions or assertions to make about a woman is "she's just like other women / not unique" and so especially with teen girls, and all the normal insecurities that come at that age, these teachers are making perfectly normal healthy girls feel like they have to be "non-conforming / queer / [whatever]" so they are in some way interesting and not "cookie cutter."

And yet even when an explanation is given, people will give every reason under the sun as to why they should be allowed to blatantly disrespect trans and non-binary people. There's a lot of things people don't understand about each other--culture, religion, why they do the things they do. Few people would argue someone isn't worthy of basic respect just because they don't understand something about the other person. If I said "call me by my nickname" and you asked why, I would say "because I want you to". Would you question me further on it? Of course not. It's no different for non-binary people.

I'm not trying to "enforce rules", I'm just saying "don't appropriate my sex" or redefine my identity, so that you can force everyone to validate your beliefs.

@@nodoboho Thanks, I agree almost completely with your first paragraph (I'll admit to being unsure on surgery - I would never want to do this myself, but I go with medical advice that some folks really need to change the way they present themselves. This is similar to post operation plastic surgery, if someone needs to look a particular way to 'fit in' then I am not going to oppose them doing that.)
I agree with your second paragraph totally - and your bookshelf would look very similar to mine. Though I have a couple of books on looking after children too.
And don't think I have problems with most of the third paragraph either - it's an ideal that I think multiple people are trying to get to in different ways. The only thing that stands out is that you hate how people are redefining words. You've got every right to hate that, but you should also understand that other people think different. Some consider themselves Gay / Lesbian, some Queer, Some Non Binary, some Transgender, and so on... If that redefines a group you are in, you might not like that, but it doesn't invalidate their own right to be members. Telling them so enforces a rule even if you don't mean it to. And maybe you should not feel so excluded by these people joining your group.
For my own case, being "A Man" has been redefined immensely during my lifetime. I've gone from the "Breadwinner, Head of the Family, Patriarch" to "Gaslighting, Mansplaining, Predator" (And I don't like either extreme, but there it is). I have personally felt excluded from the group known as 'Men' because of toxic behaviour of certain men in the group - now I recognise that it isn't 'men' that are the problem, it's just certain men whose behaviour is so reprehensible.
Perhaps, rather than having a problem with the whole 'trans' community (as this video does), it would be better to focus on individual behaviour? Some who join the group you are in will make a positive contribution, others may not - but surely each individual should be decided by their own merits.
Finally regarding people 'forcing' me to validate their beliefs. I recognise now that this is just a thing that happens. My beliefs are mine, they are different to everyone else's and some will disagree with them. Your beliefs are yours, they are unique to you and, from what I read, if we met we would probably be able to have a grown up debate on the differences. Some people will demand you accept their beliefs - that is because they are toxic - be they male, female, gay, straight, trans, queer etc...
Just because I don't completely agree with you, doesn't mean I think your beliefs are invalid, or even that my beliefs are 'better' than yours. In fact, I hope I have tried hard here to answer you without missing the point you are trying to make.
      All the best.

But there isn't an infinite amount of words. We need words and definitions to classify things and operate. Without it, it's chaos and we can't understand anything. Which is why these peoples lives are always chaotic.

Exactly! There’s not even an infinite number of people on the planet. The most we could say is billions of genders. Which is only using the word gender as a synonym for personalities and even that’s not true. There’s not 8 billion personalities on the planet because humans aren’t as unique from each other as we’d like to believe.

Gender Identity is how you identify as.. so, by their logic, you by GENDER IDENTITY
you can either identify as Woman, Man, or both. That's it. Nothing else. Since everything else isn't a GENDER its just made up.
When you say GENDER identity, it's mostly referring to male and female, which are biological classifications for 2 separate species of homo-saapiens.. or... Another term by some random scholar back in 1940 or something.. GENDER.

I am retired military (active duty, so this was my full time career), and a prior victim of SA. The first time after the assault that I had to go to a gyno it was a male doctor that I was assigned to. Being in the service I’m not used to making waves, and just did what I had to do- but I ended up, legs spread, crying on the table. He immediately backed off and covered me up and told me that for any further appointments I was to be sure I asked for a woman practitioner- that it was my RIGHT. Never have I been more embarrassed in my life; but I was also so grateful. His words remind me of what true empathy is, today. This what these activists have lost sight of.
It’s okay to demand single-sex spaces, Uber-rides late at night, or medical practitioners.
It’s okay to be a woman and not want MEN in our safe-spaces.
It’s okay to push back on this idiotic, misogynistic nonsense that says men can “be” women on a whim just by growing their hair long and wearing bad makeup.
We are not just what a male’s perception of us may be.
Enough is enough, and the madness needs to stop. There are plenty of men out there who DO care and who DO understand and who DO want the same things for us that we want for ourselves. We are not alone in this fight! There are far more on OUR side than theirs- and that is why they are going after the school-aged children.

A few moments that stood out to me:
1:32 It's frustrating to have to explain to every single person what it means to be yourself, but I'm constantly shifting. I'm constantly changing. The way I am is not going to define me.
    Same person
1:54 Normalize asking people their pronouns
3:24 But it is your personal responsibility to communicate that
5:34 Why do we have to explain ourselves so much?
2:13 Not everyone is the way you might assume they are
3:29 Moving away from trying to strictly define for all people something that is always going to have exceptions.
The main thing I take away from these interviews is that many of the people you spoke to think other people should appease their desires, but at the same time are unwilling to change themselves to react to other people's desires. They see the world as having infinite genders, and yet others don't. Why can they reject the idea of binary genders, but those who think binary genders can't reject the idea of infinite genders?
I also don't think I'm hearing well thought out consistent statements. What I'm hearing are slogans, that individually sound good even if some of those slogans contradict other slogans. To me that's a pretty big problem. The world they want to create is impossible due to the contradictions they express.

If no two people can agree on the meaning of a simple word, and we say the meaning of a term changes with subjective experience, then even having the word as part of a shared language is pointless. We cannot get to the point where we look up "woman" (for example) in the dictionary, and the entry says "no one truly knows what this word means because everyone experiences their own meaning of it differently"
