First of all, I think the warriors shouldn't trade away the draft pick unless is for Giannis. Having a culture and a homegrown core is important and I think the warriors organization undestand that. It's no coincidence the core of our team is made of drafted players.
I'd draft Edwards and use him as a 6th man and develop him. For the center position I'd prefer a veteran and good defender like Marc Gasol instead of Wiseman. We already have enough offense to win a championship, we need to improve our defense.
Agree with you 100% Matias... Edwards and Gasol make a lot of sense. Obviously trading the pick (and more) for Giannis makes sense, Myles Turner IMO is also someone I could see the Warriors trading for

I do think they should draft Wiseman BUUUT i like what you’re saying too! We just DONT NEED anymore Shooting Guards!!! I say Keep Poole and Lee And develop THEM!! Trade Wiseman or Edwards and a player like Bender or Samalgic with that number one pic for Marc Gasol or Jonas V. Cuz R. Gobert cost too much

Washington wont give him up but Rui Hachimura would be perfect for GSW. He can handle the ball rebound and play "D" mid range jumper is very good getting better shooting 3s and is a beast in the paint. 6"8" with 7'2" wing span and can get a rebound and go coast to coast and a very willing passer. If GSW can get Hachimura and Washintons fst round draft pick for there first round pick they would be fools not to take it. But Washington wont get rid of him .
Wiseman may have played three college games but he is the best physical talent and should be their pick if available. The other thing to remember is that with Covid derailing the NCAA the other players didn't get many more games.

Warriors have faired better when not drafting freshmen or sophomores out of college. This changes my opinion of how the Dubs should approach the draft. I think Obi Toppin is the dark horse of the group I like this dude. But ultimately I feel Dubs should trade the picks and go for a Gobert or Myles Turner alongside Kelly Ubrea Jr to strengthen the bench! 💯

Add Edwards, Gasol, bertans, GR3 - Starting lineup: steph, klay, dray, wiggs, gasol. Bench: Edwards, Bertans, paschall, marquis, GR3, Looney, Lee, Poole, Smallegic +1 (maybe Burks or Mulder). This squad is winning rings.

@@dubnationlive1445 Agreed. A few options I've seen bandied around: jj redick, marcus smart, Covington, Josh Richardson and even Derrick rose 😀. Need that vet presence on the bench.
They won't be able to afford Bertans unless they do a sign & trade with Washington and give up the TPE and the pick(already pick for Washington).

I know it's not sure warriors will get no.1 pick but if they get lucky and had top2 pick... It will be wise to get down in the draft for example Hawks and suns will be high on edwards and melo... We can trade down to draft toppin or oneyka OKONGWU and get cam reddish or cam johnson from them
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind Warriors keeping Edwards for themselves. Trading down makes a lot of sense too like you said, I just feel like between the Iguodala TPE and Free Agency, there are other ways Warriors can add veterans

Burks Robinson mcaw clark everyone overachieve due to warriors unselfish plays.... Either we draft toppin... Wiseman edwards melo... Kerr will definitely untap their potential and Warriors player development is off the charts..
Suns don't want to give up Cam. They love him and believe he will become one of the best shooters in the entire NBA in the near future. Plus, they are looking to add to their roster, not subract.

Warriors have a tendency to pick older players with a little more tape on them...i.e. Stephen Curry, Klay, Dray and Pascal were all picked as they had some experience in College. Obi Toppin is the best player that can help the warriors. 22 years old scares most teams except for the Warriors. My prediction is Warrior pick Obi at #5 pick and their midlevel exception will pick up Marc Gasol. Done deal.

Kind of doubt that they keep the pick. Seems like they are pretty determined to create the 4th max slot for something else later on.
For the right player, I agree with you Steve! If they cant get their #1 or #2 option however, I would think they keep the pick and select someone they feel like they can groom to be a key piece moving forward
@@dubnationlive1445 sure, but rookies don't help you win now, and I think that's a waste of Klay, Steph and Draymond to develop a rookie, when they could get a guy that helps immediately. Just my opinion and I have no idea if they keep it or not.
The other possibility would be assuming you have a top two pick is to trade down to another lottery team for this years #1 and their #1 next year unprotected gambling that that team will stay bad. Next years draft is much more loaded with talent and you already have your own plus Minnesota's protected.

13:30 LaMelo Ball...He does not fit the Dubs. Shaun Livingston was great with the Dubs not just b/c of his play, but also for his personality and small ego.
To me, LaMelo strikes me as he wants to shine on the court--be the star on the team. He's not good on defense, either.
Dubs don't need another PG. We have Jordan Poole, Damion Lee to back up the best point guard in the league--Stephen Curry.
Dubs really need to beef up on defense--a 3 and D NBA ready rook, and a 3&D vet (on half of the MLE--the other half is for a rook, or 2).
Reminder: Dubs' cap space will not loosen up this summer, thanks to COVID-19 and the Chinese backlash of Morey's tweet. No revenues from the closed Chase Center, and China still refuses to broadcast NBA games. Money will be tight for GSW and for the league for another year. 😖☹
Most playoff teams have a few bigs who can shoot the 3 above 30% in their squads. I don't see GSW following the Rockets roster of PJ Tucker as their only "center" and the tallest player in their squad.
Dubs need at least 2 bigs who defend well, shoot, ... swiss army knife type players.
LaMelo is no defense player. I'd rather see him drafted by a team that really needs a PG. Dubs need defensive bigs--#1 priority, imo.
Veteran players for the Dubs is any player that is NOT A POINT GUARD!!!

We need a rebounder, a rim protector, a defender who can shoot the 3 (like Iggy), is 6ft 7in, or taller, and will accept less than $10 mill for a year, or 2. See my previous post on this page, and go to the part on my brief on the financial situation of the Dubs and the league.
I don't see GSW going down the same route (kinda suicidal, imo) Rockets have gone this interrupted season.

Edwards is an undersized (6-5) 2 guard. If he joins the Dubs, Klay will need to move to the 3 spot against taller, more ahtletic players like Lebron, Kawhi, etc. which is NOT IDEAL. OBI TOPPIN is perfect for the dubs! He can play center, can shoot the three AND block shots!

Also I'd rather ben simmons over giannis he'd fit perfect we'd have to trade Draymond which I'm fine with he's a bum... this is something that also pisses me off right b4 bob traded wiggins there was news everywhere the joel and ben were having issues and that the 76ers were looking to break them up this summer why would you trade dlo for wiggins when if 76ers say one has to go what if we had sent then dlo for ben it's not an even trade I think we would have had to throw in a 1st round or 2 or maybe dlo and Eric paschall and a 1st round pick... This would of been a smart move but he totally blew it now we're stick with 2 of the worst contracts in the league wiggins and green

Wow that’s a bold statement... I agree with you that it’s unlikely Warriors draft Wiseman but with that said, there’s so much unknown about Wiseman with his college career cut short. If he impresses Bob Myers, Larry Harris and Steve Kerr during the draft workouts, I wouldn’t be totally surprised if they take him
DubNation Live - I’ve read many articles and more importantly he’s not someone the Warriors would draft way to many question marks... Also there very happy with Criss. They would draft Toppin or USC guy before Wiseman..
