- We are finally ready to completely reassemble our Fast and Furious Jetta. Swapping the 2.0t engine and DSG transmission from a 2016 VW GTI has been a big undertaking. Watch as we rush to get the car back together in a really tight time line with @HumbleMechanic and Steve for Alpine Volks Fair.
Special thanks to Daniel, Curtis, Alec, Taryn and Duncan at DAP that helped make getting this car to the show in one piece possible.

If this was something you charged to do, what would you charge, in theory? Totally rhetorical. Like if someone brought you a car, and all the doodads you needed lol.
Thank you all for sticking with us on this journey. It's been a wild ride. Seeing everyones reaction in person makes all the work worth it.
Awesome build, but maybe you could help out with the interior wiring. Paul worked hard on it.
Which of the The Fast and the Furious cast do you identify as?
Charles when is Paul coming to my house in Az to build my mk3 🤣. Just joking. You guys did an amazing job.
@@GeekSHO I know. but it is His car. ;)
🤷♂️ I skipped the first 20 minutes.
Paul driving with no brake assist, no boost, no seat, and the steering column attached with "hopes and dreams" was one of the funniest things ever. This is such a cool build and needs way more YT eyeballs and respect. Thanks for this series!
especially when he was sat in it with no seat & looked like a toddler sized adult 😂
Watch prizzamike bro he’s rebuilding his 240sx after getting t-boned but he’s rly inspirational
@@bluecookies9857ye m8 i watched every single episode of it
Was there heat shielding?
I have never clicked on a notification so fast
Bro 😂
So real
And furious
Right. I saw that notification and was like "oh sh*t". This build calms me down
Me to broo 😂
Paul looking like a child going for a joyride was the best thing I've seen all week
Ah yes, the long awaited part 5. I'm old enough to remember seeing the original F&F in the theater and afterwards seeing and hearing everyone peel out of the parking lot. I absolutely love how you guys made it look factory(ish). When you pop the hood the engine and everything else looks like it truly belongs there. A true testament to the crew who spent countless hours on this Jetta. Bravo!
Adding the last body kits on the car even though were not finnished now it looks like it just came from The Race-War !
They just need to add 2 large bottles of NOS and is 100 % perfect ! Shout out from Europe we love this project !
First off, HUGE congrats for an unfathomably large and detailed project. It's one thing to watch a 5 part series from a chair, and it's totally different to be hunched under a dash fixing wiring. I couldn't begin to imagine the amount of work and time it took off camera to make this happen. It's very easy for viewers to write off massive projects like this as big name channels churn them out, but for those who have spent all night and into the morning refitting a subframe 5 times, know how insane this was. I think it'd be SUPER cool to see this thing at Jamie Orr's L'oe Show this year. There's so many unique VW pieces that make it there, it would both stand out and fit right in.
The Evos would look good and resemble the movie car. You could even give the center cap some red to further the F & F Jettas look. Great build guys!
exactly my thoughts, the Tarmacs are good, but doesn't fit this build at all.
I think motegi mr154 wouldve been a lot closer to the movie wheels
This is actually borderline unbelievable. What a work... you guys are absurdly skilled and determined. Congratulations to you.
Thanks for the kind words we really appreciate it
I came for the paul struggle bus, but stayed for the sheer awesomeness of this car. Everyone involved rocked this. Good job everyone involved
Pls add some spacers for the headlights so they fit flush :)
Otherwise Perfect ^^
Headlights arent complete yet
@@Deutscheautoparts That calms my OCD
38:12 this is what we all have been waiting for, did not disappoint.
To be talking about your friend that had just passed and commented on his headlights needing an overhaul, followed by the lights in the building going out and returning is too damn spooky for my comfort!
I'm usually a 3 pedal guy and not a big fan of dsg but in this case i think its poetry that you're making the fnf jetta with the same drivetrain, but actually fast!!!! Also, side note, i love how in this series you all go progressively more and more insane!!!!😂😂😂
Great series! Small stuff like that thermostat and brake pedal/ DSG creep is why I would have kept as much as possible from the electronics of the MK7. In modern cars everthing gets signals from everywhere, cutting stuff out usually messes something up.
Hopefully the last few bits and bobs get done and hopefully a race against an S2000 is on the list :)
I wanna see some fellow GTI enthusiast get a summer job to figure out how to get those working :D
I gotta say that your ability to keep morale high throughout the dumb things that keep happening is something to aspire to. I would have an array of tools stuck in the wall after being flung across the shop in frustration. 8:57
Wow, that's a massive project bringing the old Jetta into the next century with a great bodykit and graphics. The amount of work (and money) must be enormous and all credit to all those people and sponsors who made it possible. Absolutely brilliant. I live in Liverpool, UK, so I guess the Jetta won't be over here anytime soon!😂
I own a '96 Vento TDI I've owned for over 26 years and I love it. There's only about a hundred registered on the road now, compared to a peak population of 11,000. Keep up the great work. Thanks so much. Paul.
Honestly the ventos here are super rare. Even the Bora and the mk5 Jetta is quite rare to see where I live cos I live in London and they're mostly diesels so not ULEZ compliant. I hate how here in the UK most people just scrap their cars after a minor inconvenience and don't keep them running that's the main killer for cars like the vento
I miss the chance to meet Paul in the Alpine Volks Fest. But I did manage to see the car and randomly meet Charles, what nice genuine Chap he was.
Kudos on your work guys.
Cheers.
The Guy who watches this channel from Finland. 😂
Make that two guys.... :)
@@kanervatie you reckon Paul and Charles would deliver parts to Finland? 😂
@@Eli07K Sure! After taxes and all that you're gonna feel the original OEM parts actually aren't that expensive after all. 😅
And then there were three... Their passion for VWs is just unbeatable 😊
Epic series. The car looks and sounds super. Thanks guys for letting us in on this project!
i have been checking the channel every day for damn near a month, YES! thanks for this build i love it
You guys are LEGENDS!!! This 5-part series was epic - very entertaining to watch, thanks!
Love the collab videos with with Charles and Paul just super fun to watch and super relatable 🤣 great work guys 👏👏
Yeees! So awesome that you finished it up in the OG garage! Perfect!! Great job
Ive been looking forward to this since part 4!!!!
You guys make a good team and very entertaining 👏
When can we expect the swap kit to be on sale? :D Thanks for all the build stuff.. I love seeing the nitty gritty of the builds. Had the sound deadening just disintegrate in one project and found Butyl roof flashing tape worked great.
I actually got chills seeing it driving at 38:42 It was cool to see Paul actually ripping on it and not just treat it like a trailer/show queen. Can't imagine putting all that time into something and not actually enjoying it. Really got me wanting to get back into the VW/Audi scene lol.
FINALLY I COME HOME FROM WORK TO THIS BEAUTY ON GOD GUYS THANKS UR THE BESTEST MECHS EVER
Quick tip: if youre painting something with threaded holes, just put a bolt in it. Paint it, wait for it to dry and then just take it out.
Great tip! We did this in the engine bay and other parts of the car, but the subframe was an oversight
Thank you for this incredible series! ❤
What an incredible youtube project, had a blast following along.
Can't wait to get to my 97 MK3 VR6 Jetta w/ factory automatic (runs strong and shifts perfect) project moving forward. Great Job Guys!
This isn’t no walk in the park trust and believe it’s way more fun watching these guys great content 🚀💯 2 kinds of cars in the world VW and the rest 🙌🏽💯
My day is complete. I've been waiting to see this pop up for awhile now.
Favorite body and interior with favorite engine. Love it. Owned a MK3 Jetta GT and now a MK7 GTI
awesome work, by far one of the best series I've ever watched, love how fun you and Charles are while working together too finish this.
Such a lovely and fun build to watch. Great job guys! For the guy that complained about the overspray suck it !
best build series of a car I've watched on CZcams. incredible job guys!
Thank you for doing this. We all wish we could do this
Awesome build! Looks amazing guys! Happy you guys did this! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Great project, professionalism and eye for details on this channel is second to none!
Thanks for uploading!
Super awesome build. Loved all the videos and I'm glad I got to see it in person
Super sweet to see this as a VW lover well done guys!!!! If I could buy this and bring it back to South Africa but we can all dream.......
Amazing work! I love it. One of my fave build series, especially with Charles and Paul cutting each other up so charismatically!
The Fast & The Furious is near and dear to my heart. Absolutely loved watching this build!
Me and the boys at Euro Autos in Australia 🇳🇿have been watching and discussing your build. Awesome guys 👍😁
Thank you for making people wanting to continue with VW world including my self. Is a huge inspiration #vwgang 🤟🏼
Ahhhh finally 🙌🏻 the auto-lords heard my prayers 😂😅
The F&F mk3 Jetta with a EA888. What a build. Thanks for sharing the journey
This is an amazing build. Excellent work by everyone involved
Excellent work, very good team, and the Jetta was really nice, it makes me want to have another MK3, 👏👏👏👏👏👊👊👊
Great build series, looking forward to seeing future content as you make the car complete!
Just an amazing project. Was a pleasure to follow you
Amazing guys! It's been wonderful watching this project come together over the past months and so pumped it all worked!!! Great job!
MORE VIDEOS. ON WHATEVER. THIS WAS GREAT
I laughed! I cried! And I got So F-in hard during those triumphant burn-outs! What an amazing VW experience we have all got to witness. Thank you to all those who contributed.
As far as car shows @Waterland 2023 Woodburn, Oregon, Sept.10th. Hosted by Double J Motor Works.
Please bring this. It might win best in class... who knows 😉🤣
So I just binge watched all 5 episodes. The first 2-3 on 1.5x speed and the last 2 on 2x speed. AWESOME! You guys absolutely killed it! Thoroughly entertaining and quite funny as well. Mad respect for your skill and tenacity. Very inspirational.
*Absolutely loving this project, keep up the good work guys!*
Setup in that engine bay looks amazing😍😍😍 Great job with the car guys, I've been following this since day 1😁 And i'm not disappointed, not at all❤💯👌
Truly great job guys. You've done the community a great service just by knowing this exists😊
Nicely done guys!! Sounds awesome when on throttle.
The transformation of this car is amazing. What's particularly impressive is getting all the wires sorted out. Bravo.
Amazing build!
Cant wait for the finishing touches like the fitment of the bumpers but also the headlights.
Congratulations from Australia, absolutely loved the series, I’m still waiting for Paul to come to my house to do my car, charles start weaving my shirt, charles said you would also cook dinner for my whole street, lobster, steak, and maybe a salad for the veggie people, see you in Australia soon 🇦🇺
I have been watching the from part 1 and I checked your channel every day for part 5
Very DAPper! Nice ride and work fellas!
Wow, amazing work to everyone involved. This had to have taken 1000's of hours and even more frustration. I'm constantly amazed at the quality of work done; so much customization/fabrication and it came out looking like a factory hotrod.
Ok but for real. The Paul and Charles Bromance accomplishes the most unbelievably epic shit.
The car looks great and the engine swap finish been a piece of art. Please post the next events that car will be. I will love to see it in person. Sometimes the pictures or videos don't make justice to hard work that had been done.🎉
This might be my favourite car build series full stop. Was so excited for this episode, and can't wait to see more!
That body kit really finishes it off so we'll, Jessy would love this !!
What a project! The amount of rubber it can lay is insane! Glad the CV doesn't rub on the mounts. The wing really completes it 👌 Definitely match the wheels to the body paint.
Great job on the car! Really enjoyed watching the series and getting a good laugh from you guys. More projects and videos like this pleaaaaaaase. Cheers
Amazing projekt, truly astonishing finish
Absolutely awesome job guys!! More more MORE!!
Absolutely awesome, really great work guys. Seriously impressive stuff.
Been waiting for this episode for a week's now😩💯
The Wings West full kit (with skirts and spoiler) make this car so iconic. Nice job guys
This was brilliant. Thanks for bringing us along.
I would probably have stopped at the pristine white paint and left the car looking stock, with tasteful mods. Easier to hide in traffic, like that.
The wrap is very shouty and that’s not what I’m about. I’m far less “Look at me” and much more “Nothing to see here”, then I vanish in a cloud of dust, when they look away.
But I just love the car. Well done all of you
It's been great seeing these two do a project!!! I'd love to see you both do another future project!
Love it! Absolutely amazing work. Wish I could see it in person
incredible work the final result is magnificent the integration of the engine is very beautiful very good job thank you for all these details and the hours spent 🤘🇫🇷
Amazing build. Gave me the much needed motivation to work on my project this year
you guys KILLED IT !!!! thank you for making this happen
FINALLY! Best project you guys made!
Congrats for that beauty!!!💪🏻🫡
It's incredible really. The install brings new meaning to OEM Plus.
I'm only 40 seconds in but I am already loving the dorky perv energy
Super dope! For years I have wondered how such a conversion would work out and i must admit that I am impressed and at peace.
dude this is so awesome. i had a 1989 gti, but have owned a few jettas, including this one. i currently drive a 2019 autobahn gli.
Just so awesome to see a jetta get some love thanks for this great videos series
Just fooking amazing, more builds like this loading soon.....
fantastic work guys! huge kudos to you!
Glad you mentioned the different whites on the wheels vs body. Definitely need to get the wheels to match. Really enjoyed watching this build 😊
My favorite build on the channel. Amazing series👌
This has been such a fantastic build to watch! I love the honesty, showing how projects can sometimes not go to plan and continue to be a bit of a pain in the ass. Looking forward to continued updates on this.
They never go as planned
I enjoyed every single minute of this build. So inspirational. 💯
Best project series I have watched in the last few years. Well done what a epic project. 👍🏼
Thank you for this project 😊
My condolences to your friend , had chills when the lights went out, it's like he came past .🌹🌹
Loved this VW Jetta series first time watcher to the channel, Absolutely addicted from the start to the finish, The car you guys built is a sweet little purring beast now with that modern VW GTI mk 7engine. It's awesome!
